Truly at a loss why anyone would give this video a thumbs down. This is a beautiful technique with the most stunning and most realistic result I've seen.
Where did you go and find the thumbs down? I l only see 55K thumbs ups. People like you pop up in almost every video. It seems like a mental disease or a ploy to get attention by saying something negative so that you stand out as positive. You're sick.
For the people that gave this video a thumbs down, I have one question: What's wrong with you?
This video is FANTASTIC! Thanks so much for sharing your talent!
Well said Ally. I see that a lot. Great craft and it may not be to your taste but why thumbs down. Some people! Especially this it is so real and beautiful and done with enthusiasm.
+Ally White Thanks Ally and Big C. We like you. Thumbs up to you ! Cheers, Mark W.
There will always be thumbs down on everything. Some people are pathetic.
What's wrong w people talking to deaf ears, besides they prolly spent 5 seconds watching and wont even show up again to see your q
Totally agreee!!!
Thank you for this great video! I appreciate how you clearly explained the techniques for beginners like me, and how you've made these video free. Wishing you health. May the joy and blessings you have given to others with your tutelage of painting return to you a thousand fold!
I always watch this tutorial when im sad, stressed, anxious, hopeless, depressed etc. and it cheers me right up.
What a beautiful comment! Thanks so much, you've made our day here at Explore HQ :) Cheers, Mark W.

Wowwwww I read someone say sometimes we over complicate things! Agree after watching this demo. Thanks for breaking down the steps! Making sense of it all is what sticks when taking on the task of doing it myself! Can’t wait to begin!❤
Glad it was helpful!
Probably one of the best art tutorials - that I've ever seen, honestly. Absolutely enthralling, and so well explained! I know it's an older video, but thank you nonetheless ♥
amazing! this painting is so realistic, I was born on the beach and this made me miss home

J'adore Mark Waller. Il m'a complètement libéré de toutes mes inhibitions en peinture. Je suis dessinateur confirmé, et jamais personne ne m'avais fair comprendre autant le sens de la couleur. Mark merci !
You are a good teacher, explains the basics and techniques in a methodical approach which is easy to understand. Thank you for the lovely waterscape.
That paint-covered tank top is the real star of this video.

that's the simplest looking hardest thing to do. LOOKS BEAUTIFUL!! ❤
Gorgeous and informative. Painting water is challenging and takes practice but you make it look so easy! I learned new techniques. Thank you for sharing!
THE best water tutorial I've seen, hands down! Thank you so much!!!
I came from resin pouring over acrylic pouring and over here.. I must say I did not regret it..! You are a great artist and a even better teacher. Thank you for sharing it with all the other creative people on the tube..
Thanks, Mark, for sharing a great video. You saved me enormous hours of pain trying to paint what I see when I'm going fishing. Now I know where to stop before I ruin the canvas. Take care of yourself, wear a mask, and maintain social distancing. Cheers.
Glad to help
Let me just start by saying I'm rubbish at any form of art, be it sketching or painting. Thing is, I love painting. Courtesy of this short video today I did a wee experiment on acrylic paper, not even a canvas, and I've ended up with the most realistic painting I've ever done. To say I'm pleased would be the understatement of the decade. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and skills.
Great! Keep going. There's lots of inspiration on CZcams. Painting is a very relaxing and rewarding pastime.
This is so simple yet so beautiful and effective. He can mix my pallette any time 🤪
Magic!!! Wonderful technique and tutorial!!! Thank you for sharing!!!
Lovely to find an Aussie painter. Loved the water. I will try it. Thanks
Have fun!
TFS! Very informative. I feel as though I can try this and not be too intimidated by the process :)
Beautiful I must try this, love the sea and the movement you achieved :)
You are amazing! I'm having a hard time thinking ''simple''. So good and ''easy'' tips, make such a realistic result!!
I dont paint. I was just interested in the mixing of colors for another project. Sir, you are so talented. Watching you create that scene was genius. You made my day. Thank You!
Awesome! Thank you!
What i love most is that you explain everything REALLY well. Thank you for helping me !! I love your videos!
Thanks Toria - glad you're finding them helpful! Cheers, Mark W.

ExploreAcrylics love this. You explain it so well.Thank you for your wonderful teaching on painting the sea which is so difficult for me.
This is the most amazing tutorial I've ever watched! I can't wait to try it out, thanks so much!
Amazing how quickly you made the movements of the water. Your technique is really cool and thanks for going over it.
I've tried and tried to replicate this technique. But just haven't mastered it. Until today when I mixed the "surface" colour with glazing medium. It seemed to do the trick and made the surface appear. Before, it was just too obvious and didn't look subtle enough. I also used glazing medium with a tiny bit of pale green to lighten the waves towards the top so they looked translucent. It was just a practice picture on paper. I held it up to my husband and said "what do you see?" and he said "waves" and I thought Yesssssss! LOL!
Thanku god bless you

Can you mix glaze with acrylic?
@@lucymoonlight6423 The violin is beautiful, but that pool water painting is terrible.
You're a bloody genius and fun to watch .
Thank you ever so much.
Thank you so much for this video. This is the best explanation I’ve seen. You make a great painter and a teacher, which is a true gift to have. You explain everything - the how and why, as well as, telling what products and paints to use and leave us a list and all. I can’t tell you how appreciative I am for you doing all of that. You would be surprised at the complete lack of info-useless tutorials out here on painting, crafts, and well pretty much anything you’re trying to learn. Again, Thank you so much for all your care in providing us with so much info.
Thank you so much for this comment Sandra - you've made our day! Cheers, Mark W. :)
amazing! I don’t like sitting over a painting for a long time. This method can create a very beautiful picture.
Thank you! Cheers!

As a water image lover, best water image painting tutorial ever, i`ve seen so far.
Thanks alot!!!!!
Thank you so much 😀
I started painting a few months ago at the age of 70 My family responded with very complimentary comments and encouraged me by giving birthday money for art classes. They seem to think that I have talent. I LOVE painting! My father was an Artist (amazing one) and numerous people in the family are talented. I didn't know that I was one of them (so I was told about talent). The younger people took art through high school I did not. Now I want to catch up! I've bought all the amazing paints, brushes, paint wheel, etc. etc. I started with the cheaper paints but now I feel ready to tackle the ore expensive since my work is improving. I love watching your tutorials! You do some incredible work. Thank you so much!!!
You make this look soooo easy!!! You’re a talented painter AND teacher 💖✅
Thank you! Cheers!
I absolutely loved it. you make it look so effortless, i have always been adoring water and cloud paintings but i am still yet to get that perfect and realistic look. I would surely try this out today, since I have you, your video I hope to get the results at least 50% just like your work. you are amazing, Ma sha allah!
Your teaching is perfect. No time wasted. Total efficiency. I plan to circle back and buy the DVD. THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!!!!

I'm from South Africa in the West Coast, so you can think how many times I made boo-boos with oceans. But I won't give up. I've got a picture I took at Langebaan and it is amazing. Needless to say, I'm going to give it a try thanks to your tutorials.

"Water does not resist. Water flows. When you plunge your hand into it, all you feel is a caress. Water is not a solid wall, it will not stop you. But water always goes where it wants to go, and nothing in the end can stand against it. Water is patient. Dripping water wears away a stone. Remember that, my child. Remember you are half water. If you can't go through an obstacle, go around it. Water does."
― Margaret Atwood, The Penelopiad

wow!!! I'm amazed! this is very encouraging. I hope my hands would be as soft as how this kind of work is being done... my mind is such a huge thinker that I can do this, but my hands, really, most of the time won't cooperate. I subscribed. =) thank you so much!
Thumb up if you like it, why thumb down 🙄?? You are a little confused
