Let’s split this iPhone 15 Pro Max (eSIM model) 2 layer sandwich logic board & take a peek inside. The goal was to inspect the layout of all the components and see if we can reball the sandwich by hand.
There were many interesting findings during this video.
There are some new ground pads, that are larger than before
There’s a possible “Charging IC” that could be responsible for charging circuit. So once we start seeing these come in for “not charging”, we may need to replace this chip
The baseband PMU (BBPMU) is the same chip as last years, PMX65.
And more!
Watch the video for the full breakdown of all the findings in the video

Which blue light exactly? I don't remember mentioning that haha
Little fingers, love the pace and tone of your instruction - wonderful work.

Awesome job bro 🙏🏻
Thank you 🙌
Little fingers. This type of content is fantastic! Thank you!
Glad you enjoy it!
This is great work
I’m new to microsoldering, barely two months old, I was wondering how you’d sandwich them back together without stencils while also using a flat jig.
Beautifully done!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the video and we need video for CPU reboiling
actually, I dont want to re - boil anything on this motherboard,
Very informative appreciate the video❤
Glad it was helpful!
Good job , thank You

That would be amazing 🤩
Yeah it should, really useful video
Nice work 🙏🍻
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you very much sir, you are the best
Happy to help!
You need anti reflective lightning, with all reflections seen when you apply flux, is a better way to be sure you don't bridge! I have seen it at another channel that shows work with normal and anti reflective light and the difference is a big change.
Little fingers
A professionnels job❤
Thank you! Appreciate the support!
Would going in quickly with 500 or 550 degrees celcius on the Iphone 8 and newer shield removal make a difference?
Little fingers. Love the video. I think I’m going to start doing iPhone board repairs. I do game systems but I want to get into the Apple products
Little fingers! haha. Thanks for watching
what is your temp on the universal preheater while desoldering the bals with wick?
very nice...the best bro..
Thank you so much 😀
Can you please try reball the A17 Pro chip?
Wow what a work you put in bro, great fan of your videos. According to my research you split the 15 model even before Rewa Technology. Thumbs very up bro. Your details helps a lot to all viewers especially technicians. Keep up the good work and thanks once again for your work you put in.
It's my pleasure

Do you have a link to the DT880 dc power supply you're using in this video, or are there any alternatives to it that also have the test button?

Gr8 work as always, one question only. I have fluke 17b+ that will noot beep on diode mode , while your 15b+ beep, is there some trick or thats the way 15b and 17b made?
I have a Fluke 115. The beep is one of the features of it.
@@VCCBoardRepairs On diode mode not beep mode? It will beep if there is connected to gnd when the red probe is on gnd ?
Great skills
Thanks 🙌
What happens to those big non-circular pads that didn't have any solder applied to them, do they just stay unconnected after the reballing?
Yep!
What soldering station and tip you are using and what temperature? Thanks
Aixun T420D with T210 handle and JBC Knife tip. You can find a review of this station on my channel

little fingers. watching board repairs in my new therapy.
I love it!
CPU replacement. The main CPU, RAM, and UFS memory were transplanted for data recovery. It is Z Flip 3, S22, Fold 3, and model CUP memory, but the password has been changed for all of them, so unlocking the lock screen is impossible. Why?
Hi there, I came across your iPad error 9 video and thought I’d ask on your latest video of you don’t mind.
From my understanding, and error 9 means that something called a “Nand” has failed? Which is a component in the iPad? My iPad 6th gets this message after it went into a boot loop, I’ve tried different cables and computers and it won’t work, so is it finished? Thank you
That's correct. It's all covered in the iPad 7 Error 9 NAND replacement video
@@VCCBoardRepairs sorry, I also forgot to ask, do you know what causes the component to fail? Thank you
Awesome .
Thank you! Cheers!

If you want to buy a new board instead of repairing the board. Is it possible to swap main board?
The cost of a working replacement board is usually near the cost of a fully working iPhone
Little fingers, lol. Nice job!
Thank you! Appreciate the support!
i needed a logicboard switch and a website has the lower and top separated cnc cut for cheap would it work to solder them back together
i dont understand. sorry.
can i buy the top and bottom of the 15 pro max cnc cut logic board and soldered them together will it work@@VCCBoardRepairs
I do still have note 9 super excellent condition😖😳👍👍👏👏
Fantastic!
Love them Little Fingers 😁
haha great!
Could you please tell me why, after watching several videos by different experts on disassembling the iPhone 15 Pro Max, there were several messages appearing in the videos as if the camera, display, and battery had been replaced, although all the parts remained the same and were simply disconnected and reconnected? Moreover, the front camera is not working. Why could this be happening?
I can't tell you because I don't know what videos you're referring to
@@VCCBoardRepairs It's shown in a video from the Ifixit channel, the video title: iPhone 15 Pro Max Teardown: Big Phone, Microscopic Scratches. Look at the fifth minute, they demonstrate this moment. Or did Ifixit just disassemble the iPhone 15 Pro Max carelessly?
1st time come to know sandwich bread
Hahaha great
Is new logic board of 15 pro max more durable , longer lifespan than motherboard of 14 promax
Only time will tell
I’m looking into how to potentially improve the thermals on the 15 pro through either thermal paste or pads… I know the board is sandwiched which makes it quite different. Is there any way in what you see that makes this kind of mod possible (even considering using the internal aluminum frame as heat sink material) or is an attempt at any level a no go? Btw I’m new here so don’t know any history of your videos but if possible I’d recommend making content as such for that as I know that type of content gets decent amount of views…just my 2c. Anyways, …Thanks!
That's a good question. I'm not sure how one would achieve that
@@VCCBoardRepairs thermal paste even a no go just between the IC and the shielding 🙁…?
I mean, can you add it? Yes
Is it going to change anything? Not sure
@@VCCBoardRepairs I see, you’re not.. HIM 😑!
i have xs that keep restarts like some times! not boot looping !

Why dont you repair MacBooks. However you’re doing amazing repairs 👏
I'm too busy fixing iPhones
Greetings boss do you accept students for online teaching
Yes to anyone. You can start here: www.vccboardrepairs.com/solder-course
✌️ If that esim is swappable now or even after a firmware dump hack. I guarantee Apple will lock it somehow. But I hope that this would work. Won't fix iCloud lock but one issue down.
Yeah! I wish I had more time to experiment 😅
Little finger, 👍
Haha. Glad you watched the full video!
Yeah. What I learned is - don't break you phone. It's going to be expensive to fix that thing.
It looks harder for u to put the phone back together than reballing the sandwich! 🤣
💯!! haha
Little fingers👌
Thanks for watching all the way through!
👌👌
Thank you! Appreciate the support!
The student comments don't match the cost with talk of x making 3 repairs at £125 and now only £25 short of ROI so that's $400 and not $1000
We charge $200-250 on PS5/XBox Series X repairs. 4 of those and the course is paid off. You just need 4-5 in the 30 days and you're all profit from there.
Plus, all the other board repairs you'll be able to do after taking the course, like iPad Ports, Nintendo Switch Ports and other straightforward stuff
👏👍
My pleasure 🙌
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

but i don't wanna talk about little fingers
big work ...
Appreciate it! Thank you so much
Lots of conformal coating and foam. Apple is actually trying to make the board water resistant.
definitely!

looking at the number of components in this phone, its structure resembles an old Nokia or even two 🤣 because there are two discs full of it 💩. It all looks like electronics from the late 90s 🤣. And as everyone knows well, when all the elements are separately and not integrated with the processor, it increases energy consumption and slows down the operation... increases production costs and so on...
👌👌👌👌👌✌️👍

Don't you feel awkward working with gloves?
No
Very good work., but I cannot understanding why are you working on a Apple Warranty Product. Let Apple take the pain, why are you killing your precious time. Give the phone to Apple for Warranty Claims.... Good work though
It's for research and development
Also, Apple doesn't offer data recovery
And they don't warranty physical damage
If customers want to pay me to work on their phone, I'm not going to tell them no
Can you please share a link for the soldering wick?or the name??
@@spirostsoukis4398 Here you go: amzn.to/3POCy82
You didn’t understand the scope of the video , the phone had no issues. He opens up the phone for everyone to see how it looks inside and then puts it back together. Fantastic skill and great view of the inside and what it takes to do something like this for anyone that wants to attempt something similar in the future when a phone breaks and someone wants to fix it.
Little Fingers? Why fix it and not ask for refund the phone less than 1 month old
I'm not fixing anything. I'm showing everyone what the insides of the sandwich looks like for research & development.
