    This is something really promising as technology, i mean this pure video, color restoring shows good resaults, the only thing that annoys is this color glitching from greenish to bluish, but overall camera looks amazing :) Great boost for industry. Thanks for a review

    Personally, I feel that the post-editing my X3 is super tedious too. But I am not yet ready to go back to point and shoot with something like this AcePro, nor do I envision carrying both cameras around.

      In 2021 I was uploading every single day, and it was possible because was filming with a simple action camera (GoPro 8). Then I got X2 and started struggling with daily uploads, because instead of 4 hours of editing it took a couple of hours more, but the footage was amazing compared to one I was dealing with before. With X3 and Ace Pro is the same principle. They are completely different cameras. It’s like filming an episode with one camera or camera and adding drone shots to it:) X3 gives a chance to be very creative in post-production, for Ace Pro there should be some plan or idea for editing :)) I just thinking from my perspective:)
      Thank you for your motivation to keep going!

    You mentioned X3 but is the footage from it usable though in the dive case? I remember from your earlier videos it was super blurry except the very centre of the video in the X3 footage? Unless you have figured out the issue with it?

    • @MartinSlisans
      @MartinSlisans  Před 4 měsíci +1

      It's wide angle camera so edges gonna be blurry anyways. But because of wide angle visibility looks better than it is. The only way to fix blurry edges is to film 5.7K and then to zoom in during the editing, so edges are moved out of the frame.

    hello, thanks for the video, i am eyeballing this camera for UV filming on the reef which gopro struggles with, was wondering during editing if you happen to see if the on board AI picked up schools of fish as noise and tried to "fix". I've seen one CZcams review that had it and its making me a tad hesitant, also curious did you have any overheating at 4k120? how long did it record for at that rate if i can ask. thanks

    • @MartinSlisans
      @MartinSlisans  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Hey. Thank you for good questions. No overheating whatever settings been used. Honestly I never tried to film 8K underwater simply I don’t see any reason to do it, but 4K 120fps works perfect for any length of recording time. Usually I never record longer than couple of minutes, because otherwise it’s complicated to find anything during the editing process. For the AI staff. I’ve been filming schools of fish and no problem at all, so most probably it was some unusual glitch.

    Hey, I'm planning a trip to Bali and would love to take pictures and videos while traveling there. I'd also (hopefully) take some shots in the water (snorkeling and less than 10m at first) but I'm kinda torn between the Ace Pro and the X3 as the 360 seems nice (not closed to other recos). Is there anything that you could advise?

    • @MartinSlisans
      @MartinSlisans  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Good guestion🙂 Gas narcoses is an issue for any deep dive, and it doesn’t really matter which gas causing it ( CO2, N2 or O2). It’s more about personal tolerance to it and ability to solve problem by using other mixes to eliminate narcosis effect (helium or hydrogen). As we know max air Depth is 63 m (PO2 1.6). In my case I can eliminate PO2 by adding into loop less O2, to prevent O2 toxicity. Don’t know your background in this theme, and not sure it’s interesting to those who reading comments. @@mattvish2591I’m not sure why you’re “schooling” him about his dive. Obviously, he knows what he’s doing. Are we to the point in society where we feel the need to warn people of the dangers of being bad influencers to those incapable of making rational decisions on their own? If I decide to jump off a cliff and post it on CZcams, is it going to cause other people to follow my example and jump off a cliff? At some point, people have to use the brain that God gave them and make sound choices. If they are incapable of doing so, perhaps they would be better off not watching CZcams videos. I’m watching Martin’s video purely for his review on the Ace Pro. I couldn’t give a rat’s ass about how deep he goes and whether or not he’s being a good influence on those who might not be capable of rational thought.

      hey @@bruceskousen5451, I'm not trying to 'school' Martin by any means. He's an experienced technical diver and instructor, and since this is also a diving channel, it seems reasonable to discuss diving-related topics. So, let me share my thoughts. I'm quite interested in deep air diving, but most agencies cap the 'recreational' depth at 40 meters and, in technical diving, at 30 meters. These limits are there for good reasons, though they might seem conservative.
      However, diving to 70 meters on air, or even on a CCR, appears to be quite risky from what I understand. But exactly how risky is it? Is it on the level of free solo climbing, or is it more akin to base jumping without a backup parachute? Neither of which I would personally consider taking on.
