    Kapil in 1983, Yuvraj in 2011, Hardik and Axar in 2024. All rounders always give that EXTRA edge to winning matches and tournaments. From an English perspective, you can think of Stokes 2019. India should concentrate on the development and grooming of all rounders, pace and spin. Its what South Africa, missed yesterday. Pretty confusing for a country that boasts of Kluesner, Kallis, Pollock, Albie and Morris, to not have a quality all rounder.

    Summary of world cricket: India currently is the best, most consistent all format, all surface team. For the last 1-2 years.
    They beat almost everyone in bilateral series , reached the finals of all ICC tournaments.

    RSA had been known for their quality allrounders but they're missing in their these days, especially fast bowling allrounders.
    Jenson is a bowler, who can bat a bit. A proper all rounder is missing, Markram can bowl a over here ans there but they need a proper allrounder at 7.
    Jenson is not fit for white ball, a. He had to overpitch balls to make it to hit the stumps.
    b. If he hits the good length, batsmen so often get under the ball, because the ball bounces more. He is great against a defending batter, but worst against 6 hitting. Hope RSA gives a thought.

  • @adeadgirl13
    @adeadgirl13 Před 4 dny +1

    Not that this is a big point or anything but I think South Africa should have sent in Rabada in front of Keshav Maharaj. That last ball off Arshdeep's over was basically a free hit for Maharaj and he tried to play it sensibly. It was a very good ball but still what was Maharaj attempting on a free hit? A single down to long on? He's too sensible for that situation. I think Rabada would have swung his bat and either gotten out, which would have resulted in the same situation as what happened in the match, or a boundary, which could have changed things in the final over.
    Related point is that Jansen's playing style is also too sensible for T20s. South Africa are missing anyone who can drop bombs after Miller.

    Before 2007 Inaugural World Cup, India was quite reluctant to participate in T20 format of the game. Indian Cricket Team after winning the 2007 Edition T20 WC, IPL emerged as wholesome Sports Entertainment on similar pattern like Aussie Rules Football League in Australia, NBA Basketball League in USA and English Premier League Football tournament, which are globally watch. Kerry Packer revolutionized ODI Cricket during 1970s. Similarly IPL helped in growth and development of T20 Cricket across various part of the world along with various other franchise leagues. Yes too much of T20 Cricket would definitely impact both Test and ODIS format of Cricket. I personally feel both T20s and ODI Cricket should be played like Test format with 4 Innings (25 Overs each side for ODIS and 10 overs each for T20s), so that both batsman and bowler get equal chance to outplay each other. I Saw similar T20 format played in Indian Celebrity Cricket League (Featuring All Indian Actors from various film fraternity) competition, where both side played T20 format in 4 innings (10 over each side in one inning). It was more exciting and thrilling to watch. This year IPL introduced Substitute option (Impact Player), which is very good concept in similar fashion like Football and Field Hockey. Regarding standard of Pitches, ICC and Every Country Governing Cricket Boards must invest their money, so that quality pitches are prepared in every Cricket playing nations, so that nobody complains about Pitches in major ICC tournaments. IPL brought cross cultural friendship among players across the globe and led to minimization of racism and sledging, which we witnessed frequently during 1980s to early 2000s.
