- I FINALLY was able to take my wife out flying as my first official passenger since getting my private pilot rating! I've been waiting for this day for a long time and I'm so glad I got to share it with her! Can't wait for all the flying adventures that await us!

Haha her face said everything about that touchdown, congrats!
Amen! That's the look every guy wants to see from his girl......
I took a girl from my college dorm for her very first time flying EVER. Her reaction was priceless as well... as soon as we left the round, she turned to me and said “I don’t feel any different”. The only thing I could think of was she thought she would be weightless?? My landing was horrendous, but she said “that was pretty good”, like we just aimed at the ground and hoped for the best?
Haha that’s awesome! 🙌🏻 thanks for watching!
😂
Great video. I like first time flyers. Her facial expressions are so sweet. She did well with ground identification. Good job man!
Thanks for watching, David! She did do a great job :-) Thank you!
I did my first flight this Sunday. Lumberton, Nj. We flew just in the area. I loved it. The look on your lady's face was the same as mines. So cute! Best of luck dude. Congrats!
@@lpst0xich3art11 that’s awesome! Welcome to the wonderful world of aviation and be sure to let me know how you’re progressing! Thanks for watching!
Nice video. The aircraft on the ramp is a Beechcraft C-45 otherwise known as the Beech 18 in the civilian world. A good friend of mine's grandfather flies one.
You forgot to taste the tire for freshness during the preflight. 🤣
Lol 😆 dang! I knew I should have used my checklist!
Good video...thanks for not making it boring too..the gal was a real trooper too..
Danny W. Haha thank you and yes she is! :)
The Beech 18 is not a C-45 but an E-18 with the raised cabin. My friend owns it and the Cub next to it. T he Cub has been inches family since the late 50s or early sixties!
So fun!! I remember that feeling when Tango took us up for the first time after getting his private! Love the reaction Brandi ( hope I spelled that right) has on her face. So awesome to see another couple enjoying some fun in the sky ;-) ~Juliet
Tango and Juliet thank you! It is so much fun and always nice to share it with your favorite people! And yes, you spelled it right ;-)
ASEL Aviation Yes agreed! My actual name since my husband and I use the phonetic alphabet for our channel, is Joylani and people mess it up a lot so I like making sure I get other people’s name right 😊 It is definitely awesome to share flying with those you love! Hope you two have a nice weekend ✌🏽
Love the video - Awesome job and congrats on your ticket!
@The AV8R's thank you! It was a lot of fun, and just passed my instrument ticket today! So more fun to be had! :D
I have never flown in my life to scared but i think i would be fine flying with you my friend i think i would be so relaxed 👍❤❤❤
Anytime! Let me know! :D
The aircraft you saw parked on the ramp looks like a Beechcraft Model 18, but I'm not 100% sure about it.
Cryonic thank you! And yes I have since found out that that is indeed what it is :-)
@@NorthwestAeronaut, if it had USAF on it, then it would be the military version which is C-45.
@@bartgoins1782 god to know! Thanks Bart!
How does this not have more like its should have 1 million or more it was my favourite yotube video
Lazarbeam 27 haha thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed it. It was fun. Maybe it will get to the one million mark someday ;-) haha
ASEL Aviation hahah yes I’m going on holiday In 2 days to 🇬🇷 Greece and keep up the great content are you flying at a uk airport

@@NorthwestAeronaut Yes! In Québec, it was a very good day to flight
Nice landing!!!
That’s db Cooper territory!
Haha sure is! I met you last time you were out here at Victor 23. 👍🙌🏻
@@NorthwestAeronaut OK Im coming out again soon.
Great video! Nice flight!
Hm. The sun is up, so it has to be (at least) the middle of the afternoon. So it can NOT be early. The day starts when the rooster crows at O-dark: 30
Well it was a little after 7am and last time I checked, noon is at 12pm… so definitely not the middle of the afternoon :-)
I genuinely laughed when you were intensely checking the prop edges as well as your pax face when you closed her door. #just152things
Also… are you using regular Bose with a mic boom as your headset?
Haha 😆🙌🏻 yes she has great expressions. And yeah that’s just the nose quiet comfort 35. With the uflymike 👍
how much did ur plane cost? Becouze i am looking for a plane
Official_Redastylee this plane isn’t mine it’s a rental. It rents for about $100/hour. If you were to buy one like this that is similarly equipped you would be looking to spend around $30,000 - $40,000 or so.
@@NorthwestAeronaut okay thank you for the awnser ill look arround for that type
~8:10 --- Union Pacific Rail Yard???
Probably :)
Awesome Video! I´m from Germany and have relatives in Olympia WA. I also worked in Vancouver, BC for six month last year. I really love the area from Vancouver down to Seattle to Portland. So happy for you that you got your licence! I´m also working to get my licence this year :) I remember a lot of Portland from your areal footage :) Stay safe and healthy!
That’s so awesome! Thanks for watching and have fun working toward your private!
Someone may have already got it, but that's a Lockheed Electra.
OK, I take it back. The landing light made me think Electra, but the windshield I think says Beech 18. I think both used the same engines. They're hard to tell apart at a quick glance.
thk u nice pdx area video
Thank you for watching!
i didnt know Bam flew airplanes.
Twin oaks?
Yep!
I think that Air Force plane was a C45 - Not sure.
Thanks Ron! I found out it's actually a Beech 18 :)
I'm more wondering about that yellow biplane at Independence. I have no idea what what that was, but it looked like it had a powerful engine.
@@skyhawk_4526 not sure but I think it was either being used for crop dusting or towing gliders lol
@@NorthwestAeronaut The C-45 was the World War II military version of the popular Beechcraft Model 18 commercial light transport.
@@jerryv9138 ah ok! Thanks Jerry!
