  • I take apart the silverback tac 41 sniper to fix a problem where it won't shoot. I remove the tac 41 inner barrel and hop up and swap out the stock 60 degree bucking for a 75 degree bucking and clean the inner barrel and all the other moving parts.

    Next time, try holding the hop-up chamber under some hot running water for a few seconds. That will expand the aluminum slightly and expand the ID of the barrel 'hole'. Can't hurt to try...

    Best resources out there for the tac 41, many thanks. Do you know what's a good spring to use in this to get under 2.28 joules/ sub 495 fps with a .20g bb?

    Hi Connor, I've looked and looked and haven't been able to find a video on removing the orange tip. Is it a simple heat and pull for the plastic? I have a solid pin in mine not a set screw, and I didn't want to damage anything.

    • @airsoftconnor
      @airsoftconnor  Před rokem +1

      As im not sure exactly what the new tac41 orange tips look like i cant give you an accurate answer. If its anything like a jgbar10 orange tip you would just use heat and unscrew it. Then pull the pin out with needle nose pliers!

    I'm going to use a 150N spring, which of 70 degrees and 80 degrees of hop-up rubber is appropriate?

  • @ruslanclark5272

    I've ripped two buckings already trying to push the hop up onto the rubber but the crappy teflon tape just bunches up and prevents me from being able to see the flat face witness marks so I have to repeat the process. I'm pretty mad about just burning through £15 of 70 degree SRS buckings. I have one left, should I just install it without the tape?

    Thank you so much for this video!! I actually watched this because I want to clean my barrel without getting any oil/ residue on the hop rubber during the cleaning. At 0:54 you take that little red rubber thing out, is that the part I don’t want to get the cleaning stuff on? I want to dissemble the gun as little as possible (because I don’t want to shred the bucking) when cleaning the barrel. Many many thanks!! :)

    • @airsoftconnor
      @airsoftconnor  Před 2 lety +2

      You should only clean your barrel with rubbing alcohol. Now you need to be careful when running a cleaning rod though because you can damage the bucking lips. So if you want to clean it without taking it all apart, just take the barrel off with the 3 hex screws. Then id run the cleaning patches from the end of the barrel to the hop rubber (don’t force it all the way through). Once its clean enough, you need to use a q tip to clean where the bucking is because you will have pushed some dirt to the front of the barrel. Avoid oils because they will attract dirt.

      @@airsoftconnor Thanks for the quick reply pal! I’m glad I asked then because I was going to use my Power Pull Through Kit for my air rifle, in which you use Napier air gun oil in the barrel! Okay brilliant, thanks ever so much. It sounds like I’m probably better off just removing the hop up when cleaning. In which case, would you recommend having a spare bucking to hand in case it shreds when removing? Many thanks!

    • @airsoftconnor
      @airsoftconnor  Před 2 lety

      @@christophersummers790 yeah have a spare if you take it off. If you have dry lube like i had just soak it before you take it out. You can clean it without removing it though. You just need long q tips
