Now this one took me all the way back to my childhood! My grandfather used to make sweet lemon tea every Sunday for Sunday dinner. It was always so good. It just had a different flavor than your normal everyday tea.

Mrs Mae Mae, mother passed in 2015 and I try to make her Sunday tea several times I thought I had it, so i took mother a jar of my tea, fixing it the way i thought she did and she told me, it was bitter and that i squeezed the tea bags and i shouldn't have squeezed the tea bags it cause your tea to be bitter and i try her way and she was right so when i drank bitter tea I think of my mom ...ps why do you put baking soda in your tea I never heard of it, what does it do?
My mother taught me that it cut the bitterness of the tea and keep it from being cloudy, that’s what she told me and that’s what I believe 😉 it have worked for me for over 50 years and l’m sticking to it 🥰 thanks for watching 🙏🏾

The baking soda helps cut down the bitterness of the tea. No you boil the water first then add the tea bags and let it steep

As a kid, I called this "chunka". I don't know why. Glad it actually has a name (or two, actually: lemonade iced tea and Arnold Palmer).
I never heard it referred to as that. Tuck had to tell me who Arnold Palmer is. Lol
