Did he really just say Brian Urlacher only has a 50/50 chance to get into the hall of fame ????? Get the hell out of here man
Also how is "The Kansas Comet" Gale Sayers not on this list?
didnt sayers only play like 5 years tho? and he never ran for over 1k yards
+Kobe24 Bryant He did only play 5 years and he rushed for over 1k twice, but keep in mind they only played 14 games. He was elusive like Barry Sanders and would have been at the top of the list if he didn't blow out his knees.
100% chance
Probably going to be a 1st ballot hof even
Top 5 Bears of All Time:
5. Brown Bear
4. Sloth Bear
3. Polar Bear
2. Black Bear
1. Grizzlie Bear
Best comment ever.
Lmfao
W
false black bear is best
Wheres the panda?
Man Gale Sayers definitely had a shot on this list
he probably wasn't on the list due to his career ending injury
Still a HOFer.
true
gale and hester, mention....
I'd like to know why Ditka isn't on this list. Ditka was idolized by those SNL Bears fans for a very good reason.
has anyone noticed that the bears have a long history of really good defenders.
GummyDummy everybody knows that
All-time Vikings, Lions and Bears defenses would be absolutely filthy. Those teams have a lot of historically great defenders on their teams.
GummyDummy they forgot about gale sayers, he could've been the greatest running back ever. they didn't even say his name as an honorable mentions
True. If him and Butkus played full careers they would have been the two greatest players in NFL history. Better than LT, Barry Sanders, Ray Lewis, etc.
super old comment but they did mention gale sayers lol
Walters the best of all time rbs
@Born again exactly and this man said he thinks he might be top 10 hes top 5
@@nihilist2434 Well, Brady, Montana, Brown, Rice, and Taylor are actually greater than Payton.
Franz Aren Reyes Brady and Montana are qbs
@@franzarenreyes8195 Could they punt, block, catch, pass, and run though?
@Master of Disaster 🐐
im a bears fan
1. payton
2. butkus
3. Nagurski
4. grange
5. sayers/luckman
Red Grange, one of the original Big Ten greats.
Top 5 is impossible but you're list is as good as any!
@@concraft9040 went to same college at Butkus.....which also happens to be MY alma mater
idk about luckman being so low but im not a bears fan so
Walter Payton > all Packer players....
+RedX165 and thats the truth
for sure
yeppp
ur such a jerk
+RedX165 Walter Disney < Julio Jones
Interesting that Mike Ditka received no honorable mention. Especially since he is one of the best TEs in NFL history and even led the Bears to their lone Super Bowl victory as a head coach.
Mike Ditka was Da Bearz!
Finally one of the few great historic teams. Now we need the packers, steelers, raiders, niners and whatever team I'm missing.
The Browns
+Brett okay gotta give you that one.
+Tom Shady #cheater #12BestCheater #ScumOfNFL lions
+Tom Shady #cheater #12BestCheater #ScumOfNFL vikings
Not really the niners. Eagles, Giants. redskins are missing
Here's my Top 5 Bears post Payton/Singletary era...
5) Mark Carrier/Mike Brown/Charles Tillman
4) Devin Hester
3) Olin Kreutz
2) Lance Briggs
1) Brian Urlacher
Honorable Mentions: Neal Anderson, James Williams, Barry Minter, Roosevelt Colvin, Marty Booker, Tommy Harris, Thomas Jones, and Matt Forte.
What about peanut?!?!?!!? A bit premature but I'd consider putting fuller up there already
Gale sayers was the OG... He deserves to be on this list
Same with Hester
Sids jump throw looked absolutely perfect
whoa whoa whoa wheres PAPA BEAR!!!!
The Chicago Bears hands down have the best defensive lineage of any NFL franchise. It's not even debatable.
Wilbur Marshall,Bill George,Doug Buffone,Doug Atkins ???
Sweetness is the GOAT!
Skuse me But refrigerator perry is at least #2
Agreed most complete football player ever
@@alexthomas3930 yes......but only if he ate the 4 players ahead of him
Devin Hester has to be an honorable mention. He should be a first ballot hall of fame since he is the greatest returner in NFL history.
Who else was expecting " The Fridge " to be on here ?
me
No bc he wasnt that great of a player. He was good, not great, and certainly not top 5 all time for the team
+CalebGVS Perry is overrated...
You sir are ignorant
Julian Lester CUSTOMS How? I like Perry but he gets name too often.
These players did way more than Perry did in his career.
Glad Sid Luckman is on list best Bears qb ever
1.Sweetness
2.Butkus
3.Gale Sayers
4.Singletary
5.Urlacher
1) Walter Payton2) Butkus3)Sayers 4) Sid Luckman5) Singletarey,& Devin Hester , honorable mention ; Mike Ditka,Bronco,Red Grange,Doug Atkins & the 85 defense!
I know Brian urlacher! he was one of my friends in 6th grade's uncle
That's so awesome
1. Jay Cutler
2. Rex Grossman
3. Adrian Peterson
4. Aaron Rodgers
5. Calvin Johnson
Walter payton???
Weapon X28 lol
Jman he's talking about players who have had history against the Bears lol
1 has to be Jay Cutler!!! I mean COME ON!
haha
nah he is the 4th beat quarter back
did you live when Walter Payton was playing??
Best Bears QB of all time. Better than Sid in many ways. But no, not top 5. Maybe number 6 or 7 on the list.
Cutler can’t hold a candle to Cade McNown!
YOU FORGET MIKE DIKTA
+RG3 #smokingthat3 #10hunnit #seantaylorblock Decent player, better coach.
***** lmaoo but as a coach he lose so many game
+RG3 #smokingthat3 #10hunnit #seantaylorblock
How old are you?
Jake F 26
You'd have to make a top 15 list cause there's so many
That throw at 1:34 might be the most insane throw I've ever seen. Seriously.
You shouldn't be able to throw with that much power and velocity after leaving the ground. He wasn't even in throwing motion until he was off the ground.
You're not supposed to be able to do that.
Walter Payton is the Greatest RB in NFL History
All these legends, 1 in madden. Come on EA
Devin hester cmon not even an honorable mention?
he is not even a top 10 bear of all time. He had one great return year in '06
if gale sayers couldnt make this list, Devin doesnt even deserve a thought
+Aaries Harris 1 great year? Dude is the best returner of all time. He had 2 UN HEARD OF years for a returner, had a great 5 seasons in stand point of a returner
+? ??? the hell he has only played two friken years with them? do you know your football????
+? ??? too much madden mobile
Without watching I know Sweetness will be on here. Rest In Peace man
Walter could fly over that O line for the TD.
I appreciate mentioning that you made choices from different time periods. Sayers and Atkins should probably be in top five below Payton and Butkus. The reason Payton is greatest player of all time is because of overall skill. He is the only player in history who could play every position on the field. He was their third string qb and could throw 65 yards accurately. Check out his td pass gainst Saints to Willie Gault. Great receiver who could go long as well as take a screen pass for a td. No player in history had more tds jumping over his linemen from the one yard line. That could not be stopped. He had more ways to make a tackler miss than any player in history. He could break tackles in a variety of ways with a straight arm, a shoulder dip, a forearm shove, and his legs were so strong defenders would bounce off of them. He also had deceptive speed and quickness and could use that to make moves and then use his after contact skills. His yards after contact must be the most in history. His speed evident when in his rookie season he led the league in kickoff return average just like Gayle Sayers did his rookie season. He could also punt and kick extra points if needed. That leaves what could be his greatest skill which is blocking. Coach Ditka called him the best overall player of all time mentioning his blocking prowess. The most important ability a player can have is availability and Payton never missed a game in his 13 year career because of injury. Only game missed was one game in his rookie season which was a coaching decision.
That guy at 3:30 lol
Without Sid Luckman and Halas' T formation their would be no Tom Brady, or any modern qb. To back up to go foward seems normal now. But it was revolutionary in 1940. Amazing that the modern passing game derived from the Bears right.
Wished Ditka had let "Sweetness" score his Super Bowl TD. :( :( :(
loved seeing Singletary shove that o-lineman
Sweetness is without question top 3 players of all time. Nobody ran like him
Gotta put Aaron Rodgers on here, since he loves to throw to Bears players (Tracy Porter) so much.
You mad because you have Cutler?
+James Brown You gotta put jay cutler in there cause he always throws to Trufant c:
+Julio Jones #tdboss #bestwr remember that time da bears smoked the Falcons? Trufant got burned like... The whole game. They didn't even need to pass at trufant they could have thrown at either Jeffery or Marshall. Whoever Trufant wasn't covering.
+James Brown ? that joke goes the other way with jay cutler, not so much for a guy that throws 5-8 INTs a season
no but jay cutler is definitely a top 5 packer, he always helps them win
Ya ya wtf. How is Mike ditka not on this list?? Not only was he a very good players, but he was also one of the best coaches ever in the nfl
Bears pls return to glory
My thought is Holmes Campbell blitz is going to be an ongoing factor I think back of players like Fencik and Singletary and all out damage to the opponents running game in every highlight reel EVERY GAME coming up from our LIONS DEFENSE
In my opinion, it takes a great linebacker in the middle and a great safety in the backfield to make a great defense. That being said, who woukd you say is the best linebacker/safety tandom?
mike ditka??
Honestly Gale Sayers and Doug Atkins deserve to be on this list
Thank you!!!
Atkins & Dent,no one even mentions these monsters of the Midway!
My favorite team #1
5) Ditka
4) Ditka
3) Ditka
2) Ditka
1) Ditka
I'm calling it before I watch... Walter Payton, refrigerator perry,Mike
What Ron Rivera could of been on this list, he was a great linebacker for them for 9 seasons and helped win that superbowl and also helped the bears set up the greatest defenses from 2004-2006, can't believe they let go him for that, well good thing the panthers picked him up later and gave them a great season this year, and 3 straight division titles, and helped them rebound from the 2-14 disaster John Fox did, wait fox is on the bears now, LOL
when are yall doing the Houston players !?
They're doing it by division, didn't you see the pattern
elliot harrison is a bop
He's too young to evaluate a team that's been around 100 yrs.
I'm surprised there's no Gale Sayers.
I was thinking the same, I feel like a lot of people nowadays don't even know who he was
Jack Fleming Amen
Gale Sayers and Mike Ditka he messed up big time on.
Anton Ton, Gale Sayers was one of the most spectacular open field runners in league history. Electric. The kind of player who filled you with anticipation whenever he touched the ball. Only a handful of RBs (e.g. Barry Sanders, Jim Brown, O.J.Simpson, Adrian Peterson) have had that quality. Knee injuries shortened his career. Unfortunately Butkus and Sayers played at a time when knee surgeries were far more invasive and career threatening. I think Sayers could've been ranked ahead of both Singlerary and Urlacher.
1.fridge2.dan hampton. 3.jim mcmahon. 4. cedric benson 5. rex grossman
bears are my favorite team
Congratulations
I agree with everything but would put sid luckman at 5 and take out urlacher and put it sayers
Jay cutler believe me or not he was just hated but good some good bears players are Brian urlacher, jay cutler and Mitchell trubilisky which let’s see how he does
Walter Payton would be in the top ten of all time??? I dunno - as far as all around football players I'd find it hard to argue he' wasn't THE BEST in the NFL's 98-year history. Running - blocking - throwing - receiving...the HITS he put on GOOD players... he was even the emergency place kicker and teammates said he could nail some pretty long FG's in practice... pretty hard to argue he's NOT. I know us Americans are obsessed with ranking things to the point of top ten lists of things you can't even really compare, but the lists I've seen tend to have a QB as no. 1 because he did what his position called for extremely well but I dunno man, as an ALL AROUND Football player, Sweetness has MY vote
Gale Sayers above Urlacher any day of the year. The 5 year HOF wait was waved for him. Hell, I'd rank him #2
I liked it then I watched it, go Bears!
With almost 98 years of players to consider, 'Top 5' is hardly enough spots.
I don't want to pooh-pooh anyone's list...but as much as you want to cover different eras and as great as Brian Urlacher was...I think we can bump him out so that we can include Gale Sayers.
Sayers only played like five healthy seasons, and he was competing with Butkus during that period of time for who the face of the team was. Urlacher was the face of the franchise for over a decade and was the best player on a team that went to the Super Bowl. Sayers is a legend but he just couldn't stay healthy long enough.
GO BEARS!!!
Devin Hester deserves an honorable mention or a #5 spot. He is the best punt returner of all time.
WALTER PAYTON IS THE GOAT
Lmao look at the quarterback at 1:35. Like wtf.
Incredible, maybe the greatest ive seen
I know, I'm just now seeing that. It's absolutely nuts.
Richard Dent definitely should of been considered as well..
Richard Dent ?
Lers GO CHICAGO BEARS 💙🧡💙🧡💙🧡
Walter Payton #1 all time.
Sayers
Ditka
Tillman
Gault
McMahon
Mcmichael
This seems like a conversation that Jim would have with Dwight
um is it just me or am i missing my fridge. come on The Fridge really belongs here, no doubt
The bears have had so many good players but the fridge wasn't that good
do top 5 coltss
No Mike Ditka? Played Tight End AND was the Head Coach in the future.
Top 5 Ravens PLEASE
🐻🏈💪🏾👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🏃🏾♂️

Butkus
Sayers
Payton

1.walter payton
Sweetness better be on here. And RIP Will Smith
y do people keep saying" RIP WILL SMITH" can someone please tell me what it means
+John Doug Doug Dog He got shot 6 times and died.
+John Doug Doug Dog Go on your browser and look up will smith death
DarkDenDan ok thanks
+WhoDatTheBest Chill out w/ saying "RIP Will Smith" on very video. It's a tragedy that he died, but it's just annoying now.
Gale Sayers I think should be here!
The Fridge
Dent
Atkins
Perry
Didn't watch yet but #1 Walter SWEET Payton
#BEARDOWN
Urlacher was a better all-around linebacker than Singletary. Could Singletary pick off passes?
Agreed, and I don't think it's really all that close. Singletary was an extremely intelligent, over-achieving north/south run stuffer. He played to his full potential, but his potential just wasn't nearly as high as Urlacher's. Urlacher was a much better blitzer and infinitely better in coverage.
How bout Devin Hester's Super Bowl return?
they forgot gale sayers and mike ditka
Mike ditka
I'm 20 seconds in and already know that I'll be disappointed in this list.
No way Jose. My top five are Grange, Nagurski, Butkus, Sayers and Payton (MAYBE Sayers could be swapped out, but I don’t see it). You really need a top ten, not a top five as there were so many players over so many years to consider. Sure, I would put Urlacher, Singletary and Luckman on the top ten. Walter Payton is the greatest FOOTBALL player of all time. He could do it all. Block, run, catch passes, throw the ball (34 throws in his career 8 for TD’s), kick and punt). Then Atkins and George?
Charles Tillman deserves to be in the top 10
Dan hampton was the first ever and one of two players to make all
pro at DT and DE. Singletary was great but not top 5 great
#1 and #2 are pretty easy.......no complaints there but Singletary was not better than Dan Hampton.......not by a damn longshot.
Or Richard Dent.
Agreed. Singletary is, unfortunately, one of the most overrated players in Bears history. He was a very good football player with a very high motor and IQ, but he was just too physically limited to be put ahead of so many of the great defensive players that people put him ahead of.
SWEETNESS#1..
I got everyone of the number 1 players on these and before I watch Walter Payton HAS to be #1.
Walter Payton best RB of all time IMO
Walter Payton is the best running back of all time even Emmit says it
Jim Brown ,but he's top 3!
Forgot Devin Hester
Many Current Chicago Bears will join this Great List!!!
