The Magnolia Cemetery is also in the area, deep in the woods. Had a rusting iron fence around it 40 years ago when I was out there last.

It is still there. Tours are done to it now and then.

I couldn't find it! How do you get back there? Just go through the woods?

@@cherrysoda3427 yes, it was deep in the woods when I visited, a long time ago. I'd go in the winter when there is less brush and snakes

We have swam here several times. Sad to hear about the bacteria one time there was a little girl drinking the water like it was soda. Have seen several people washing their dogs here. Once we me and the kids were privy to a folk concert by the locals one song in particular was about the spring! The fun part was swinging in from the ropes and making a splash into the refreshing albeit stinky water. Such wonderful memories here. It’s a gorgeous place!

We used to swim here back in the sixties...all the locals referred to it as Maples pool

I've heard that it used to be a really popular swimming spot.
