XD Nice vid Pekin, keep up the good work. Viktor has never interested me as a champ until about a week ago, and it's honestly because you've made so many videos on him. The first two games on him were rough for me, but in one game, I was able to go from being 0/3 to carrying the game just because he is so good in teamfights. The enemy team would engage, put themselves in a corridor, and I would just pop Ulti and kite. Such a good late game champ. All thanks to you XD Good vid again 👍

Cait as a champion is sorta like that. Crazy early game, solid late, terrible middle. Ofc the player was also unstable.

i keep want to pick up viktor again since i think he is giga op ( I played him a decent amount in s12 but didn't enjoy him that much), barely has any bad mus. like irelia, xerath and maybe a few assassins (but most assassins u can just take bone plating + shield bash + build crown/zhonyas if needed). His landing is good, his late game is top tier.

Anyone remember when Viktor’ ult had a silence and gravity field had a knock back to the center? Shit was so OP and no one played him.
You also need to buy your Hexcore in order to upgrade it, which means that you will be behind in items even when ahead. Was it Season 6 or 7 when this happened? I think it was. It's also the Ardent Censer meta, which to my opinion, is one of the most toxic metas right before the Tank meta. That's why Viktor was not a popular champ during that time since he can't get to his late game without the game ending too fast.
why not take biscuits? especially when you don't even have manaflow band, even then biscuits are better than manaflow imo. And! Future's market always seems so useless to me, just losing gold. I guess I don't know how to use it properly to get the spikes faster.
Why not go Morellonomicon instead got the anti heal and a little pen over shadow flame? Is potentially 10 pen really better than the healing reduction?

I don't get why people don't buy Tear first item. Even if the item not gonna be built, I think the amount of mana you get back super worth. Specially when you don't have kill pressure early like in this game.
I'd say Scepter is too expensive an item to be built on Viktor. While Doran ring gives you the mana regen you need plus a little bit of HP and AP, Tear doesn't give you the damage you need for early CS-ing. Later on Crown is a better option due to its cheap price and huge stats that it offers, especially the short tankiness and the bonus movement speed for kiting can give you kills for snowballing the game.

The AP antiheal items are awful and are never worth it on Viktor. Your other teammates can buy antiheal.
The one thing I hate about Viktor is how much of a pain in the ass he is to trade with early game just for him to smack you even harder in the mid game. Champion is really good at all stages of the game.
I wasn't shocked your damage was middle of the team for this, Pekin. Love your videos and normally you're super on point, but this game was a bit rough. Your positioning was off a good bit and you were focused out of most fights. Also, several largely unimpactful ults didn't help. Not a terrible game, but those reasons do explain why your damage was mid on this match. You definitely made up for it in the last team fight.

Hey, so, im a viktor main and I would say that your build and runes could have been better. Against melee teams like this I really like cosmic drive; imagine if you had the cdr and ms instead of a shadowflame in that dragon tf that you barely lost, just as an example. Also, first strike is good, but i personally don't really like the rest of the rune tree, so i don't usually take it. Obviously you still did good on the mechanical side, but hope that you appreciate some insight into the builds i've prefered over time.
BTW, i find the galio matchup very hard for viktor because you struggle to disengage, so i take phase rush and maybe even cleanse depending on the rest of the team, and just play it safe until midgame.
have u tried Lich bane much? it also gives cdr and ms. Also oneshotting with each e + q + aa is pretty funny imo
@@dustyacer I have tried it, specially last season while it was busted. I don't usually take it because you have to expose yourself a lot in order to fully use it, and in this game you don't wanna go near the k6 or the galio. I do agree that it is really fun, and if i feel like I have to carry really hard and they are all squishies I take it, you 1shot everyone unless behind.
Pekin missed manaflow band so hard this game imho. And Liandrys was the mythic to go here 100%

Man, your team would just NOT stop fighting. They have a bunch of scaling champions and were just going HAM the whole time instead of playing macro and scaling up. They played right into the opposing team's strategy and only won because they threw.
I feel like it wasn't your best performance, to be honest. There were a few times when I thought "He has to know that Kha'zix is coming for a gank, right?" and you didn't respond. Still, it was a good example of late-game team fighting, which still makes it a worthy video.
