- On our trip to Ethiopia, we traveled to the Amhara region with our family. We spent the first day exploring Lalibela and its rock-hewn churches!

you should wear netela and kemesi at lest respect our culture and religion when you got to Ethiopia Orthodox Church but other than that is all good keep going

No Lalibela have nutting to do with current day Ethiopia, The people who currently inhibit Lalibela have no connection what so ever with Lalibela or the people who built this church.

Thanks for sharing the video. Was this the same day after you fly in? We are going to Ethiopia next month but have a very tight schedule. I am trying to figure out if we could make a trip to Lalibela for 2 days and 1 night, which means landing around noon and flying out late morning the next day. Did you use a guide where you were there?

In the future we plan to do vlog. I've been there as a kid a few times because my dad is from that region, we just did not make it this time. But we plan to during our next visit.

Please do not mingle European culture to Ethiopian, you shall wear netela and Habesha Qemis or just females clothe but you didn’t that ,so you don’t get spiritual benefit rather you get penalty from Lord; isn’t it? As i look ur video I shall advice for all those who visit this Holy Land St. Lalibela and other Ethiopian Spiritual Monasteries, they shall follow rules and regulation of the Church and Priests advices also from I saw you are doing that announce and every one may see and may u invite others to see. Other thing is that not only Europeans and others Ethiopians should not wear shoe around the Churches and Dejeselams or in general every activity shall be by the advice of Priests.

Hi there. I think you know that too, since your wife is of Ethiopian descent. That above Lalibela is in the mountains in the temple of Asheten, the gospel of Mary, the mother of Jesus, described on hundreds of pages. It is a four hundred year old copy written on goatskin in Göz language. I think for an enlightened person in Ethiopia is much more than sitting in a few restaurants and eating. Of course, eating is also part of the culture tour, albeit a weak documentary theme. If you were already in Lalibela, you could have gone down to Saturday’s big market to see real faces. Damn bro. I know all that you're talking about but to be fair, these two generally do an amazing job of balancing the theme of their channel(their relationship) with the contents they bring us. Were some things overlooked? yes! In fact, a lot was missed. But, I guarantee you that if you did a deep dive video on Lalibela, you'd still miss somethings. Plus That wasn't their goal in my opinion. I think some slack is warranted here. lol
