- On Saturday 20th May 2017 we held an event at Alton Towers allowing fans of Theme Park Worldwide to join us for a day of fun at the theme park! Join us in our vlog as we share all of the fun we had throughout the day, including group rides on a number of the parks fantastic attractions! I would just like to say a huge huge Thankyou to all the members of Theme Park World Wide for such a fantastic day, it was amazing to see such a huge crowd with so many differences come together, the atmosphere was electric and everyone had so much fun, I was mesmerised by one particular girl who was actually dressed up in the smiler costume I thought she looked absolutely amazing I was really quite envious, such creativity needs to be celebrated I do hope we see her on your next Vlog as I would love to see her next costume just fantastic guys well done to each and everyone who attended. Such an amazing day which made so many people so so happy Thank You Theme Park World Wide can't wait for the next one ....... soon I hope ?

Shawn, have you ever considered making a Patreon to help you pay for some of the costs of making these videos?
I am sure people would support you. Thing's like 4k cameras which you will eventually want to move to are expensive.
You could offer a £1 a month tier which people get a credit at the end of the vlog.
You could offer a £5 a month tier which you send people a lanyard and pin badge and a £10 a month tier where you allow supporters access to a link which lets them download the unedited raw video footage that you would normally delete if its not included in the finished vlog.

I´m way behind with watching all the TPW vlogs, just finished this one. It´s great to see so many people having fun! No matter if they are kids or adults, male or female, quiet or outgoing, they all had a great day and it´s so refreshing to watch it. Thanks to everyone (!) who appeared in this vlog for making me smile! TPW is in my Top 3 of favorite channels on CZcams and I know what they say about us Germans, that we don´t have any humor at all, but the fun fact is: I love this channel for its humor and its passion, nobody does Themeparks like TPW does. No wonder that you doubled your followers within only one year! :)

I've been a follower of your channel for about a year or so now. I have managed to see about 90% of your all time vlogs (some effort) haha. I must say that turnout of different ages on this is simply incredible. Cracking to see so many people having a great time. That must take a bit of patience and a great deal of organisation. It's channels like yours that will help the theme park industry for generations. Fair play cracking channel.

I can't believe some of the comments on here... don't be rude towards some of the people that appear in this vlog, They're so unnecessary and petty, leave people alone at least they've all had a good day.
This is a family channel and targeted at everyone so there's really no need to be targeting hate comments towards certain people, especially knowing they will probably see this vlog and those comments, is it really that bad that you need to make a comment about it? There should be no hate, anyone who loves theme parks and rides should be welcome, why should you in the comments make judgements about some people you've seen a few minutes footage of, especially if you weren't there on the day. So uncalled for..: another great vlog and I hope everyone there had an awesome time, it looks great!
It's not hate as such.. it's more the fact just because you have something, doesn't mean you should abuse it. There were so many more people with things to say that were cut off by the reoccurring two people, if they had fun and Shawn was alright with it then it doesn't bother me but I feel it must of caused some annoyance and understand the "anger" of some fans

Ok... new vlog suggestion...... Mr Lee wood, in a random theme park, starts getting chased by some girly fans, legs it, cue benny hill music, as they make their way around the park (giving us some nice off ride shots of course) the chasing pack gets bigger and bigger until there is literally thousands of girls chasing him, then he jumps into the log flume splashdown with a breathing tube to escape them...

I am that person in the bottom right at the start of the video (no, really, can life get any worse?) as my parents dragged me to alton towers for this event after going every saturday and sunday since the start of may after getting back our passes

There were many children and people there, with special needs, ie Autism, ADHD, and many other's. This was their opportunity to feel a part of something. They were no different than those who do not have a disability, they share a love for theme parks and roller coasters. They were happy. Some interacted with others, which is a huge positive, because for some, interacting with people is very difficult because they have trouble with social skills and interacting.
Sadly, many are bullied, but here, they felt safe and accepted. How do I know this ?? BECAUSE many of you have mentioned our daughter.
So, she was not bullied that day at the park, but; you have decided to bully her through your comments. HOW DARE YOU do this to a child.
She is hurting now, and sadly , your heartless words carry more weight than , any positive's that I have been trying to remind her off.
Steven Young Sorry to hear this. If your daughter is the one I think you're talking about I had a chance to speak to her on the morning of that day and she seemed a really nice person. I believe everyone who was there that day that spoke to her would agree.
Coaster Guy, thank you for your comment. I think everyone that was there had a good time and enjoyed spending time with like minded people. Our daughter said it was the "best day ever" it's the negative comments that got to her and I'm sure most of them (if not all) are from people who weren't even there.
Here here! I think it's great that events like this are happening thanks to Shawn's channel. It gives enthusiasts the chance to get out there and meet other like minded folk and just have a fun day. I hope that your daughter feels happier now and that it doesn't stop her from attending future events. She seems sweet. People will be thoughtless online and often it won't even enter their heads that the ones that they're insulting might be reading their comments.

I love watching the vlogs, but these meet up videos are hard to watch. Too much attention seeking and random shouting/screaming /jumping about in the background. It's like someone filmed a vlog in a mental asylum after giving all the patients a bowl full of smarties mixed with LSD

Well, I admire your patience with your fans, your dedicated to giving back to them, and I'm sure they all loved spending the day together, and meeting the TPW crew and regulars. You're doing a great job Shawn and Charlotte 👍
I really wouldn't enjoy one of the meet ups I couldn't be bothered with all those kids, it sounds terrible but I just want to hang out with the adults so I can swear and be my usual filthy self, I'd have to filter otherwise and that's no fun.
Agree,, Shawn must have the patience of a saint, all them kids would have drove me crazy!
I can completely understand that, we do get a mix of age ranges coming to our events though which is great!
Theme Park Worldwide Oh I think stuff like this should absolutely be accessible to everyone, but the guilt I'd feel if I used a terrible word or made a really crude joke and seeing little innocent child eyes widen in shock at the filth, it'd make me feel so bad and inevitably ruin my day as I do reflect on times when I haven't been as nice as I could be so I'd be annoyed with myself about it.
Anyone fancy a 'grown up' day at Alton Towers? Wonder if there's a way to organise this on the least busy day with 2 for 1 offers, any tips TPW?
KartRacer 01 beginning of scarefest is quiet, or failing that September just after the kids start school for the year is always quiet and it might hammer down with rain but for the most part there are still loads of warm leftover August days.

I must say this.
I usually really enjoy the Vlogs on this channel. They're entertaining and packed with interesting facts about the park/s, this one however i turned off within 5 minutes.
I admire the followers you've accumulated over the years but this with the amount of people, is just too much.
The amount of Vlog bombs, kids who just want attention and the sheer noise has took away the normal intimate 2/3 regulars that we normally see.
I understand these don't happen often and like i said i enjoy your Vlogs and respect the work that's put into them but this was too much to sit all the way through.

I completely agree. It's nice that the fans get to meet the TPWW group, but certain people just abuse the camera. If Shawn was happy with it then it's not my concern but I feel it must of been annoying have the same people stealing the spotlight when there were 100's of other people. With actually intresting things to discuss. Not "pony express is the fastest ride"
