      Maybe bcs he is the WORST.
      He dosen't care about his workers, he cares about them making HIM money COMPLETELY different.
      If you truly care for someone, you try to make sure they are safe, he does not.

      If confronted by anything obvious, they will just lie about what has happened Starting quite calmly but working themselves up as much as they can in the process whist manically telling you more lies & off topic arguments often using dramatic language, and by doing that they turn themselves into the victim they feel like & use some type of emotional extortion bcs they hope you won't go on with any argument without feeling and to them now looking like an a******, bcs they are now in tears SO worked up. Indicating is your fault.
      If you still do continue, they WILL explode as an immediate reaction bcs now they are angry, offended & really feel like a victim when you don't follow their rules & shut up. Don't notice reality.. just let them continue with their self galning BS - or else..
      Taking any responsibility is not possible. Not even for their own actions..
      They will always use that tactic to deflect, to get out off any situation they dislike & to make others do & act as they want them to.
      Incredibly immature bcs every toddler knows that game- feel sorry for myself & get angry when it dosen't work - bcs I have no coping skills.. it's one thing when a toddler does it, it's undefendable when a grown, senior man does it..

      they do have a point though. Many of the people talking about these EPA regulations are people with multiple cars, multiple homes, jobs at tech companies.
      If you were really honest about your position, you would say 'fine let's kill coal jobs. And we will share our money with people who lose money because of it'. IS the government or you willing to do that? No. So let us feed our families the best way we can.

      @minirock000 Před 3 lety +16

      @@jamesgarfoyle3188 "Many of the people talking about these EPA regulations", that was all of the people interviewed. Now, if what you are attempting to say, in general, is that the rich, techie, nerd people are trying to kill blue collar jobs. That would be the people 'endorsing' EPA regulation.
      Let's be honest, I would wager not one person endorsing stricter oversight of the rules, made a statement that was anything like "Let's get rid of coal jobs." The problem is they are heavy polluters and they don't care and they attempt to shirk the law. The EPA does not write laws just to be punitive, they do it because we must keep the waters and air and ground free of as much pollution as possible. We share the planet with millions upon millions of other species that evolved along with us. Yes the surface is covered by 3/4 water but only a small fraction of a percent is fresh water. To see what happens when a planet's atmosphere goes out of control look to Venus.
      You say that the people are just trying to feed their families the best way they can but that is not a true statement. The best way you can is to do good by people, society, and the planet. You just meant the most convenient way. Also those families, all families are an issue. The population is too great to be supported by the natural process of the planet to feed everybody. Every person does not require a many copies of themselves to ensure our species survives. If the population stays the same or reduces then the need for the rising demand of power and resources and the levels of pollution and waste will follow.
      I have always been a blue collar worker, except when I worked with mentally handicapped and mentally ill people but I was still assisting them in their jobs in the community, And frankly I do not think the government is doing enough to get us off of fossil fuels. Petrol needs to be exorbitant to get people out of cars.

      Like every other industry in America. Show me one industry that is in the business of growing jobs. The business community has, as its number one priority, always sought to continually reduce expenses in order to boost profits, show false growth, and reap their bonuses at the expense of labor and the consumer. When Pruitt said Trump resisted the influence of the special interests, I almost choked. If Murray Energy isn’t a particularly “special” special interest, I don’t know who is.

      Yep, Republican corruption and greed r destroying this country thanks to the Republican majority Supreme Court making greater corruption in politics legal, gutting the voter rights act disenfranchising young, minority, disabled, poor, mostly Dem voters but some republican voters too, refusing to make a decision on gerrymandering bc they r well aware it’s unconstitutional, anti-democratic, and disenfranchises many M&L class voters, etc. By the time M&L class Republican voters figure out the Republican Party and their donors r leading us right off the cliff and advantaging our foreign adversaries, it’s probably going to be too late. China, w/Russia’s help, is determined to become the world leader. Autocracy w/CCP ideology will become the dominate ideology throughout the world. The Republican Party and their wealthy donors don’t have a problem w/this bc it’s primarily the M&L classes who r going to lose most all their rights, including the 2nd amendment (most, if not all, citizens can’t have guns in autocracies), and have to live as low paid slaves for the oligarchs. We’ll see even more socialism for the rich/corporations and harsh capitalism for the M&L classes. If greedy corporations continue their capture government and pushing for policies which benefit the those corporations regardless of the price the M&L classes and the country as a whole will pay, we’ll be returning to the US similar to the beginning when we were controlled by a king on another continent. Republican voters will then learn it’s not going to work out well for anyone in the M&L classes and since we will have already lost our rights, like our right to vote or for our votes to count, we won’t be able to change the situation. We’d have to elect a bunch of far-left politicians to reduce the income and wealth inequality, legalized corruption, and corrupt republican judges and I just don’t see that happening. The wealthy and corporations have far too much $ and can use as much as they want to drown out the voices of the M&L classes and Dem politicians, especially the far-left progressives. This is so depressing!

    The gas price issue is perplexing: gas in Europe universally is four times the cost of the U.S and many large cities in Europe require huge fees to drive within certain city limits. Why do Americans feel entitled to gasoline that is cheaper than listerine per gallon? Perhaps because GM bought Denver and LA's rail car systems so that oil and car dependence was an outcome?

No, your electric car does not yield a significant net loss of a carbon footprint, as your fuel comes from burning coal. Americans can vote instead for football stadiums a comprehensive train system. But they won't, and that's historically true in Dewnver and Seattle. The Sports stadiums came first. Well, when the planet is uninhabitable in 20 years, I hope you enjoy your stadium.

    • @Johnhamsta
      @Johnhamsta Před 3 lety

      @@atomariola6410 I certainly don't enjoy the propensity to construct entertainment and monopoly over infrastructure and education. Electric cars are certainly not a substitution for effective high-speed mass-transit.
      You may be mistaken in your assumption that U.S. voters can meaningfully impact our city design through voting - as most infrastructure choices are deliberated by unelected appointees and special interest groups - the average voters has been massively disenfranchised by Gerrymandering and vote suppression, coupled with misrepresented choices to vote on.
      The money primary may not be on the lawbooks - but it is indubitably in effect due to campaign and initiative finance policies - taking public decision-making from a democratic forum and placing it into the hands of those able to afford the arachic and lengthy voting cycle.

We need to solve the issues of climate change, and in a democracy, you need to recruit as many people to your cause as possible. Most EPA issues didn't seem to involve pivoting communities out of Coal jobs/energy dependency. I agree with you. If they had better outreach and more comprehensive marketing to target consumers, not just B2B. They are in charge of regulating companies but these companies employ regular people who don't understand or care much more than "you're agency wants to kill my job and give me nothing to replace it." It's a bad stance to take in the face of a community that is focused more on providing, right now, for their families, not for the environment of a planet they have no control of.
