I was ther last week and this development projects is meant for low cost housing which is good for young professionals or students. Studio 4500pm. 1bed 5700pm. And 2bed 7500pm.
I initially applied to live there before they opened this year and once i saw the completed units i was just so shocked. Its low income housing at a high price. The units are not pretty, at all. It looks more like CBD living. I hope the newer units will be more aesthetically pleasing.
Lol that place is Sandton, those apartments are the lowest you will get if you a new graduate working in Sandton. If you looking for aesthetically pleasing ones you cam find them in the Sandton CBD but they gonna cost an arm and leg😂😂
We need more of these large scale housing/mixed use developments in Cape Town 😅 hopefully that'll help to bring the property prices down this side of the world?
This project is for young professionals who need affordable place to stay in the city without paying too much these places are beautiful if you are still building your career i visited most of their development in the JHB CBD those who have made it in life they know where to go to get the lifestyle they are looking for. This one is for us 😂
Sandton is the ghetto now lol anyone can afford it. Guarantee this place will be noisy and childish like their last building The Onyx in Joburg CBD/Maboneng where they had to implement visitor curfews and treat adults like students. Move to maybe Waterfall, Fourways or Sandton Central if you want something serious. If you enjoy peace (being able to sleep at night) don't live in places where a 1 bed starts at less than R7k.
This is low cost and affordable housing for young professionals who are just starting their careers in their employment as explained in the video. Its meant for inclusion. It not meant to be sophisticated, if it was made sophicated it would be expensive and defeat its purpose. As for the pipings lets wait for the construction to finish first before judging it.
@@lebohangmokheseng9250 Ok thats Fair, but it does Not have to look like grey Prison Cells with narrow hallways just bcs it is low cost, I've seen Rdp buildings in Carletonville that look much better... Just saying
those units are meant for new graduate students, if you looking for better(& EXPENSIVE) ones you can find them in Sandton CBD. The aim of the project is low cost housing. As a student after graduating and possibly working in Sandton these housing will really help a lot and cut down on travel costs
I am not very impressed. In fact, this is AMAZING...........LY pathetic for 3 Billion-Rand. I was in Kenya 2 months ago and saw property developments there that would put this Barlow Park to shame. This is not what I will call 'Transformation', this is more like a renovation done by someone who thinks duct tape is a design feature.
It's low cost housing don't forget, it simply means they strip off everything that makes the building expensive, even walls outside are not plastered but backwashed; it reduce costs.
We don't want it! It ruins the character of our beautiful neighbourhood!!! Should've built this in Braam or some other irrelevant area. Not our Sandton
I agree with you. I was Ther this week and it gives me Ghandi square vibe and worse part they use facebrick😢 why they didn't use steel and class to meet international standards?

Rondebosch is much better than this, but you're right about the prices!!! Gauteng is much affordable
Harbour Arch is a recent one I can think of
@@hydromic2518lol a studio at Harbour Arch is R11k pm in rent
If you go to Parklands on the northern outskirts of Cape Town, there is a lot of large scale housing developments there.
Great job, i love what I'm seeing.

In the US they call these The Projects aka Government Housing. Modern Squatter Camps.
@siyabongakhulekanilionelnd3041, that is why they now have Skidrow in the US...Good ol' squatter camps

Looks a bit UnSofisticated, Poor Quality Finnishes for Sandton, Exposed Painted Bricks, exposed Plumbing etc...

@relaxingsleepaudio2320, better than living in a shack...and yes, expensive finishes make for expensive rentals, don't they?

Bad finishes especially ceilings cheap bad workmanship
Yeah I saw that too. The ceiling already looks bad , I can imagine how it'll look after a couple of years.
@@thabisothejane5328that ceiling looks good
Thin walls too, can hear a neighbour breath.
Also didn’t like the finishes in the bathrooms.
They called it New York style industrial look most of their development are like this even in the JHB CBD ABSA building
The views are unreal!
