Supposedly "original gangster”, can be seen as “old generation", personally viewed as “old-school”.🤓
I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Korean and rap music were my coping mechanisms from the bullying I experienced in middle school through high school and my love for the genre has stuck by me ever since.
Unfortunately, I took a huge break from Korean music around 2015 when I was officially diagnosed with lupus nephritis and seizures; I was receiving and battling years of chemotherapy and dialysis along with taking 32 pills a day, so I had no mental/emotional/spiritual room to keep myself updated with the genre. Luckily, I'm in remission now! Doesn't mean that lupus and seizures are gone because I am still very capable of frequent flare-ups of I don't take care of myself, but I make sure to do so enough to manage and live as "normally" as possible.
When I made this CZcams name, I was thinking from my graphic-design-major perspective of a brand that will not only describe what my content will be about but will also align with the times, and y’all know that “Kpop stans” have been a thang for awhile now so hence the cringe-worthy title, OG KPOP STAN. (My love for Eminem is also relevant.😂) ALSO! Just to be SUPER clear- me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" does NOT mean that anyone who's listened to kpop after me is inferior or less-than. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time. Please don’t get that sh*t twisted.😛

I love listening to dancers' analyses because they always catch things i missed. I don't mind the pausing, you're just doing your thing. Thank you so much for the reaction and yes they deserve all the hype they are so amazing and they're only a 'rookie' group (in name only imo)

I Remember what bang pd said that he was looking for a group with members having a lot of potential rather than having all the skills of an idol and i believe enhypen is really that group in just a small amount of time they really have grown and able to showcase the potential they have and looking at it they seem to have not yet reach their limits.
each member have different personalities and skills and the way they present their skills but them being together no one outshines another because they all shine together when performing its as if the members really solidify their team rather than having a certain member the only one who shines and is recognize. in enhypen you can't overlook a certain member because there is nothing to overlook and ignore they all are worthy of recognition

I have been listening to this song nonstop. It is so hypnotic. The choreo for this song is so frickin good. The boys all execute it individually and as a group perfectly. I also think these boys are gonna go far. Both their albums are non-skip.

Yess! You affirm my opinion about their character in choreography. They dance not just in synchronization, but telling stories. That has been from the beginning of their debut, "Given Taken" era. Watching them dancing, it's like watching theatrical performance. Love it!
I swear you are one of the only people that notated that in the second chorus how they broke it into grouped sections dominio-ing basically so many people don’t talk about it!

FEVER is amazing because in that phrase before fever (x3), you can see that each person has added their own personality into it. Jungwon pops a bit more, Heeseung looks crazily masculine, Niki flicks his fingers elegantly like a ballet dancer, Jake looks swag.

They entered the chart late because of the late shipments of albums to the US. But still hands down! that was great for a rookie group. Their label might let them have a showcase in the US soon!

Hi I don’t know your name but Im always looking forward to your analysis. As a pre debut engene, I appreciate your comments to these boys. I have seen their struggles and hardships through their survival show I-Land I’m very proud of their accomplishments so far. I agree with you that these boys is “the group”. I’ve never seen a rookie group like Enhypen. I’m not a teen ager I’m actually a mother of 4 adults who got me into k-pop about 2-3 years ago. Since I-Land I could not seem to like any other group coz no group can be compared to these boys, their team work and chemistry are awesome. Don’t be apologetic if your voice sound loud when you giving your comments it’s actually good and I like what you’re saying. So I hope that you will continue to support these boys coz I’m pretty sure they watch and hear your honest opinions as well and they appreciate that. Hello fellow Engene Mom! I feel the exact same about Enhypen. They literally tug at my heart and I love these boys so much since I-Land. I started with BTS last year and stumbled upon TXT’s Blue Hour MV premiere, and then came across Heeseung’s Fake Love performance. I was so happy to find them before they debut too and was amazed they were already so good on I-Land. Super proud and happy for them. It’s amazing to watch their dreams come true through their hard work and determination.
It was Jake and Ni-ki for me from the very start. I just love Jake’s politeness and respectfulness in the very beginning and as soon as I saw Ni-ki dance my heart just melted for this two. It broke my heart when they got low marks and sent to the ground but I just kept on encouraging them in my heart. I was so happy and glad when they made it to debut. Then when I saw Jake started praying after each performance I love him even more.. I just feel like proud mom , we really need to protect these 7 special boys. They are my happy pill during this pandemic.

@@cindysalandanan1397 oh yes! When I started watching I-Land, Jake immediately started loving Jake. He is so sweet and kind. Despite having one of the shortest training periods and moving to another country where he barely spoke the language, he seamlessly progressed so quickly. Plus his natural charisma on stage and adorable laugh. Oh, Ni-Ki. I feel the most proud of him because he had so many adversities on I-Land and overcame them all. His dancing is unbelievable and I don’t think he has even shown much of what he can do yet. I could go on and on about all of them. ❤️

at 7:44 the part where you mention that they move out in a circle and when they turn its a new formation; its actually very literal because during that part the lyrics go "even if you push me away, the fire inside me is still alive" and the members on the outer circle move like they're pushed at the stomach, and then they move like the fire is eating them up while getting into formation. also like you said how they portray "fever" in a very theatrical or graceful way.. that's something i really love about enha's choreos. the fact that most of the times the dance is very literal and is often a direct nod at the lyrics, but not.. tacky or cringey (for the lack of better words)
plus you always get these moments and it makes me so happy to see that they get noticed by many others too T.T i really love your reactions, and thank you for making these cool videos !!

I loved your review on this!! Your videos are always a joy to watch because you don’t just say “wow, that was cool” over and over like a lot of reaction videos are. You do a great job of breaking down the moves, formations, and vibe of the performances. I hope you do more Enhypen like the MAMA, MMA, and TXTxEnhypen Collab dance practices. The live stages for MAMA and MMA were nice to get the “feeling” but the camerawork did a terrible job showing the choreography, so please watch the dance practices. Love from the USA 🇺🇸 to Enhypen and Engene! I am a multistan but BTS, Enhypen, and SKZ are my personal favorites so I hope you do more of their reviews!
i think you described jake’s movements perfectly. i came to realize that his dancing style is very fluid. i’m ni-ki biased so i often look into his dance techniques as well as the others, and i’ve gotta say, jake really impressed me. he has his own way of dancing where he just allows his body to move to the music while not being too loose. it’s nice to see each member hone individuality in their dance styles while still keeping in sync with the rest of the group :)

This choreo is SO satisfying to watch, it's so clean and synchronized, really impressive how good they are already. I have to say tho..... I can't make myself feel entirely comfortable w it? Or, at least not with the music video. I just feel like they leaned into Sexy Concept just a tad too much considering the members' ages, esp Niki. I get that a big part of the fandom is gonna be teenagers too but idk. Not entirely at ease.
