The product is made of plastic and very flimsy! I bought a pair of these for my JDM Toyota (in Florida) and it broke a day later when I went through the car wash.

I’m sorry you had that experience, to be honest it’s not something I ever even considered, because I don’t take my cars through car washes, they’re always vastly too low for it! Hand wash only for me! I have had it on the car now for quite a few months and it’s held up great for me.
