GRATEFUL thanks, Sir... I am a non-Muslim, listening and learning from all your profound videos and sharing with others so that Malaysia can be a better place. We are different but we find our similarity for humanty. Yes the Youths are very IMPORTANT. I work with youths on remand in the asrama akhlak since 2016 till covid19 in 2020. The government needs to put more effort to nurture the youths and not just lock them up at such a young age. My message to the youths they are not bad children but mislead.

Thank you for your answers and explanation for the second question. It does give some glimpse of ideas to me to pursue what I should achieve after this. Be patient while seeking knowledge, knowledge that can make you a better person and to give good impact to our civilization. Thank you,Dr.

  • @ashaariimranbinazmanshah6948

That first question is indeed alarming. I have felt till now that at least on a superficial level that my fellow young peers have quite a good grasp of islam at least compared to our granparents and even parents who grew up with quite openly secular education due to being colonised etc etc. But it seems like our islamic education has proven to be cursory at best. This is worrying.
Regarding the second question- perhaps the Dr can recommend a couple of basic books/resources to start on how to understand what knowledge is.. I personally found reading the book ‘How to read a book’ by Adler helped to open the doors to reading other books.
Thanks for the videos.. always great insights

All religion are use to control human behaviour in the past before law had been enforce. All religion are teach to be good and kind to people but we do had a small group of people using religion to controlling those weaker mind people. Education is the only choice to make people to be smarter and think correctly and not blindly follow on others.

    Thanks for this.
Our ulemas claim that you need an 'Ijaza' to talk about Islamic rulings and sharia. Any ijtihad involves 1. Factual analysis and 2. Understanding of Quran & Sunnah. One of the major problems we have is our fuqahas are not capable of doing factual analysis though they may have a lot of information on Quran & Sunnah. This problem can be appreciated when we look at fatwas the grand mufti's and ulemas have been giving favouring the Muslim rulers or western powers in the matters of politics and economics about which the fuqahas got little idea.
Over hundreds of years, the Ulemas have been used by Muslim rulers and western powers to cause division within the Muslims. All these happen because, as appropriately identified in this video - we Muslims allow such ulemas and fuqahas to take the pedestal as we do not know much about the 2nd part of the Ijtihad process.
If you read books on how the western powers colluded with ulemas and radical Islamists over the 20th century and still ongoing, you cannot help but think - is the concept of 'unity of ummah' so difficult to appreciate? Yet you have Muslims fighting Muslims and both sides got ulemas to back them up.

Ban Islam is the most right decision, if you ask my opinion. Why do we need that kind of religion to impose bullshit rules, aggression against disbeliever, intolerant of other ideologies that are not suitable with Islamic doctrine. We don't need to reform Islam or whatnot, just ban it for the sake of humanity

Can the human mind, even if it is a Prophet's mind, capture the fullness of the mind of God. If the Prophet (created) knows the mind of God (creator), is the Prophet not equal to God. Therefore all sacred texts cannot capture the mind of God, in my humble opinion. I would appreciate your views on this, Sir.

With due respect Sir to u n all malays in general n no offence intended.... i hv mix with every top to bottom malay meaning from the intellectuals to the uneducated to even the religious scholars etc.....i see most of them hv the tendencies to explode emotionally or perhaps physically when race or religious issues r debated or question. Thus althought i hv seen melayu baru n lama in their speech n perception which is impressive at times but the above explosive attitude are somehow ingrain in both of them. So personally i feel their obsession with Islam especially those fanatics at times restrict them of transcend boundaries .....look at the history of China n why Chairman Mao turn a religious China then into a Communist state. Bcos the religious chinese then wete too obsessed with their religion. Pardon my ignorance, just hoping everyone comes to a better discourse n progress. Tqvm

god has no human helper. keep the religion to oneself. there are many verses similar to these. I called them not to witness the creation of the heavens and the earth, nor (even) their own creation: nor is it for Me to take as helpers such as lead (men) astray!
(Al-Kahfi 18:51); Say: "Praise be to Allah, who begets no son, and has no partner in (His) dominion: Nor (needs) He any to protect Him from humiliation: yea, magnify Him for His greatness and glory!"
