In this travel video I explain why before I book a reservation at a new property, I anonymously call the front desk and ask a few questions. This hotel tip has proven especially helpful if I am on a road trip. Here are the questions I ask...
1. Is the hotel under any construction or renovation? If so, please explain.
2. Is there any sizable construction in the neighborhood? If so, please explain.
3. Are there any security concerns in the neighborhood?
4. I am considering a stay over (insert date range), are there any large groups or wedding parties staying at the hotel during that time?
5. Are pets allowed to stay on the property? If so, what is the separation for other non-pet bringing guests?
