Drummer murdered this song. I remember this song when I was a kid, wishing I could play half as good as this cat. Hats off to Rudy Brown from Richmond Virginia
@@kemperbrodie1461 Tell Rudy he changed my life when I heard this song. John P. Who? This was Rudy's introduction to the world, and thank God he went in like he did.
That drummer is a BEAST!! And I had no idea that Donnie McClurkin wrote this song! We sang this all the time when I was a kid in church back in the late 80s, early 90s. Love it! JESUS IS MINE!!!!!!!
I have posted John singing much earlier than this. Go to my homepage and search John P. Kee and you will pull up the earlier things that he did. God bless.
It is actually Southern Illinois State Choir. The album is entitled "Joy Cometh In The Morning". I am ripping the album as I type. You can look for that track and a few others from the album the next day or so.
***** I remember it like yesterday. These days don't hold a candle to those. I thank God I have something of substance to hold on to, instead of today's fluff.
I totally agree my brother, but I have noticed an healthy increase of ministries in my area who are either transitioning to or have already gone back to the old school! I love it!
***** I'm holiness, so we have maintained (locally) the old school tradition. I just don't see it going mainstream. The people in this age (generally speaking) just don't want it.
John tore it up, buuuuutt...the drummer made this song pop....lol. I remember when I was 12 or 13 this was the song that made me start playing the drums for the church. And even to thos day, hearing in 2023 this dude was amazing. I believe this was the first gospel song that the drummer actually stole the performance 😂😂😂 amazingly unbelievable
Donnie Mccurklin is a great songwriter. I admire him and honor his giving contributions to gospel music over the years. He's another one of my vocal and musianship influences as well.
It saddens me when I turn on my television, and I see all the evil things that some men, and women are doing to harm each other. All of the senseless killings. The violence against one another. I hear people say there is no God. This is what the devil wants us to believe. I tell you, do not believe it. God is not dead. He is yet alive. He is still saving souls, and working miracles everyday. I am living proof. I have struggled with depression since I was 13. I tried to end my life once. I was crying out for help. I prayed to God to help me, and he did. He is also helping a good friend of mine to rebuild his life as well. I double dog dare anyone who reads this message to try God. If you've tried doctors, and you've tried medicines. Try God. You will not be disappointed. God bless everyone.
Yes thats so true America has left God and has forsaken his commandments towards us. We have taken on another man to be our god. So many people has rejected him for something they can receive quick.
