    Hello this looks great but when you say 'old jeans' do you mean 2 pairs of old jeans, the instructions don't say if you need 1 pair or 2 pairs - looks like 2 pairs required. Thanks

    • @FashionWanderer
      @FashionWanderer  Před 5 lety +1

      I only used 1 pair of old jeans to refashion this denim mini dress. The denim jeans were fairly large, so there was enough material for me to construct this dress pattern from scratch.

    How do we make this to our measurements?

    • @FashionWanderer
      @FashionWanderer  Před 5 lety

      In this video, I was making for a size Small/Medium or dress size 6. But if you are smaller or bigger size, then you can increase or decrease all the measurement in this video + or - 1/2” based on your size. Let me know how it turns out! 😘

    How big do the jeans need to be? I used a size 10 in women's and I feel like something went wrong for me around 3:45 in the video.

    • @FashionWanderer
      @FashionWanderer  Před 3 lety

      Great question! I used size 20 women's jeans that I found at a local thrift store. To give you a reference, I am size 6.
      I believe that the jeans were too small, and that's why you encountered a problem when making the top bodice. To make this denim dress, I recommend extra large jeans so that you have enough material to work with.
      I also made a guide to help take body measurements for clothing so that you can accurately resize my measurements into yours:

    Since I dont have a seam ripper can I use scissors instead?

    • @FashionWanderer
      @FashionWanderer  Před 4 lety +1

      Hello! Yes you could definitely use scissors to rip open the seam. I recommend very pointy scissors rather than a round tip. Slide the tip underneath each seam to snag and cut the thread.
      I have accidentally cut through fabric before when using scissors, and that's the main reason that a seam ripper is useful. Just take your time, be careful and it should work out just fine.
