absoloutly! saw this awsome work live in Denver last month when i made my trip to the USA
This video came out awesome. This is easily the deepest dive into my story, my 86, and my shop set up on the internet and it was so much fun to film. Thanks guys.
Saw your build at Sema. Very interesting work!
Great job on the car. It’s unbelievable what you accomplished.
I find you more interesting than the car itself.
@@sonnychhuon2694 thanks dude
Cam you are such an inspiration👊
This is why i take pride in my build, You do it yourself and do it right and it feels so much better showing it off. GREAT BUILD!
Man wtf!? This is absolutely epic. At 21, this dude is going to go seriously far in this game. So awesome to see what young people are capable of and are doing. Best of luck man.
he probably gets all the money for it from his rich dad. no way a 21 yo with maybe 3 years of job experience is going to be able to afford this.
dude isn't even collage graduate age.
@@darkshadowsx5949u don't have to go to college to make money 😂
@@ARCbirdman Darkshadow is right tho he started saving for it at 16 and by 17 he had saved up enough average cost is 21k what 16 year old you know can save up 21k for a car and lets not forget the massive amount of tools and parts he had to buy for his build and the show he got when he was 19..... there is no way dont get me wrong its a beautiful build but he defiantly got the money from his rich family
@@Cryptonationxyzbs that guy is probably a couple k’s in debt
@@Cryptonationxyz debt is somewhat likely. And seeing as I'm working part time as a recent high school and I make 23k a year part time...I kinda find it hard to believe that someone who has been saving since they were 16 and now 21 wouldn't have enough money 🤷
Love his enthusiasm. Sick build, Dude is proud and you can tell
Kudos to this guy for being motivated to finish his vision/idea. Most of us just say, meh it’s too hard.
Most of us don't have tens and tens and tens of thousands of dollars, property, tow trucks etc lol. Kid is talented but so was I and all my friends, one of his wheels cost more than most of our entire builds in the 2000's. Videos like these need to make clear that none of this would be possible without being born into money. He's lucky as hell.
Dude parents are millionaires he gets cut a check every month for breathing lol
@@shane864 how many of us would even kill for a lift XD
@@blanchimont5587 My brother in christ I have dreamed of one my whole life lol
Probably has a lot to do with wasted money in turning a usable car into a show princess? just guessing though....
This kid is legendary, he's going to shine in the auto industry for years to come. Goes to show if you put your mind to it...
yeah that and thousands of your parents money plus all the support and equipment needed for that kind of work
@@Chubby_Lemon You must be the "victim of your environment" guy.
@@ECAConcepts i mean he saved up for an 86 in one year as a 16 year old thats pretty damn unrealistic
@@grqfeshe saved over a lot more than a year to buy the car. The guy was building skate ramps and decks for neighborhood kids when he was a kid himself. That takes grit.
Sounds fantastic with those headers. Mad respect for this young dude and his talent
Mad respect to this dude, deserves to win an award at SEMA 🙌

@@darkshadowsx5949 Okay, ill sponsor your car. Lets get a SEMA award.
Incredibly inspiring story man. This kinda shit takes tremendous willpower and determination. I'm not even a huge car guy myself but I couldn't turn this video off. Being totally self-taught in every aspect of developing, prototyping, and building an entire car so robustly and clean says things words simply could never express. Generation-defining guy right there.
i wouldnt really say is inspiring he has all the money and time in the world to learn every skill and all the tools to make his wants and need for his car to become reality.,
@@Cryptonationxyzfr, people really have no idea how much money helps...along with the internet. Anything you could EVER want to learn is at your finger tips, all you need is time and to get more time you need more money.
@@MrSirGiuseppeou still have to plan it out, you can't just put time and money without having a plan or structure. Knowledge, experience, and motivation is still required for it to work. Think of businesses, just because you bought it doesn't mean it'll succeed even in the long term and throwing money into, you still have to run the business for it to function, you also still have to make a structure, a plan for it to actually succeed. People fail, they give up, it doesn't need to be just money alone, can be a mental thing regrets etc.
@@MrSirGiuseppeyou might have a point if he won the lottery and funded a team to build it, but he didn't. He built it himself. Making it real takes a staggering amount of willpower and dedication, in addition to the actual money to purchase tools, supplies, materials, parts, _the car itself..._
@@EnhancedTrashBin all of that is included 'time'. Typically if you have enough money to start a business, you have enough to succeed..its ultimately up to you whether you do or not. Most people I've ever known personally or heard about who owned businesses and lost everything, had plenty of chances and warning to get out or fix their issues.
SO GLAD TO SEE THIS KID GET A FULL LENGTH SHOWCASE FOR THIS BUILD BRO! KIDS DEFINITELY HAS SOMETHING SPECIAL AND I HOPE HE CONTINUES BUILDING💪
I've wanted a full feature on this car for a really long time I have the video that Larry Chen did a while ago on my favorites playlist and actually watch it quite frequently this is literally the ultimate project car for me I hope someday I can create something half as cool as this
Better hope you have bucket loads of money too
@@blackpanda7612 If you happened to watch the video the guy worked his ass off to buy the car to begin with. And when he hit that point where the money was obscene he shifted his focus to writing sponsor proposals. If you work hard enough anything is possible
This should be in a future Fast & Furious movie!! 🔥
Something is up here, how tf is this dude affording a shop just starting college? What am i doing wrong in life 😂. Huge congrats to this guy!
He’s not. That’s daddies money lol. 0% chance he didn’t have help. You don’t buy a $20K car at age 17 unless you have significant help yet alone a freaking SHOP.
@@ChristopherGuilday not difficult to save up enough for a down payment on a $20k car at 16 lol.
@@zane812 you don't really cut up a car you have a down payment on.
He saved up enough and his grandpa was proud of him and bought the car for him, I believe was the original story.
Not sure how he afforded the shop. Rent?
If you work a $20-30k/yr job while living with parents and no bills, that’s a lot of money for fucking around.
@@MajesticHF 20-30k/yr who is getting this money at 17-21. My country is famous for its relatively cheap work hand. I make 20400 country currency when you convert it to dollars is 11212. The good paying jobs are mostly occupied by people put there by others like ( close friend or boss that work in the same company) there are always exceptions of course.
The coolest bit to me is these cars are normally Form > Function but once Cam started talking about all the stuff underneath you can really tell that it is all about the Function and the From just comes naturally from Cams style. Super sick car.
On that first sound clip.... I put on headphones, closed my eyes, and a single tear ran down my cheek. (wipes tear).... Beautiful.
That first full rev from the first sound clip was something I’ve been waiting on for SO long since seeing this car and god damn it sounds incredible
Amazing build by an incredibly inteligent and talented young man. His enthusiasm, creativity, ability to learn and decisiveness in his build is so impressive for anyone, let alone someone his age! I look forward to seeing his future projects...
I praise this young man, it's not everyday you see a person who wants to learn, fabricate, and take chances all because they absolutely love their automobile. "Enthusiast" doesn't do any justice for this man. Keep pushing, I can't wait to see what you come up with in the future.
Trulia mad scientist torn everything that you did and create a vehicle like that. I can't imagine how much work you put into getting sponsors getting money and being able to do what you did congrats and thank you for sharing it with us and I can't wait to see what the future brings for you.
I see a lot of negativity, claiming he’s a spoiled rich kid, which is how this dream build for him, came to fruition. Honestly, where are the funding came from, is irrelevant. Who cares if he earned and saved, had financial aid from the family, provided parts from sponsors, credit card, debt, all of the above, etc. The commitment, knowledge/experience gains, ingenuity, hard, work, passion, etc., deserves nothing but absolute praise. There’s a unbelievable amount of kids with financial privilege, that aren’t even scratching the surface of their potential, and are wasting their lives away, partying, and playing video games. I’m not a fan of this particular car scene, but I have nothing but respect and admiration, for this dude 🙌
Amazing story and personal character glad you made this video with TRC. Personally I Completely understand the situation of commitment and having doubting parents..... mine kinda did the next step of communication doubting to attacking the person's value till they give in or failure then commence to kick when down for months and years. Any new project to rebuild personal growth.... repeat. It's encouraging to hear your life experience, insight and vision throughout the build. Thank you 👍
I was a few years later than him. Did it in my early 20s. Bought my first car with paper route money. The main help from parents was living at home cheap, NOT FREE. didn't do suspension but i did buy welder and teach myself and installed roll bar. A lot is possible on your own.
You can hear his passion for creativity in his voice when he speaks about his car. So awesome
My favorite part is the resourcefulness! And he’s outfitted with top-of-the-line, harbor, freight tools! So sick
He seems like he is driving it for the first time
I'm 62, and the opening scene. Commitement. I got commitment is what I need. Thank you for teaching me something new.
That’s pure talent, hardwork, and vision at its peak from one man.
No this is definitely a little more the pure talent. I’m 25 and I do a lot of custom fab and have done many engine swaps but even I will admit it would never be possible without my dad…he help me out like crazy and just looking at this guys shop and tools…he got way more help the even I did. This guy obviously has all the support from his parents. Can’t knock the guy for it but at the same time it should be stated and recognized.
@@TheOnlyKontrol pure talent and help are not mutually exclusive
Met cam this past weekend, really cool guy and his build is absolutely perfect!
I’m so envious of this kids determination. I’m affected by adhd & it is very hard for me to stay committed to something. This truly makes me feel inspired to try more
Get some dopaminergic stimulants in you and focus away. I have Asperger's which comes with ADHD and other free sides that I wouldn't wish on ANYONE. Making things even harder than having ADHD alone, though some days I only have ADHD symptoms that chewing coca leaf while on 7.5-12.5mg dextro amphetamine 5-6hrly makes me hyper focus on what I need to do (I often have no problem hyper focusing on what I don't need to do without supplements 😂) .
I feel your pain, but also know countless people with ADHD who can focus and stay on track with the use of dopaminergic stimulants, namely various amphetamines. Some run businesses, let alone do trades such as fab and mechanical work with deadlines for paying customers.
I believe in you mate. Wishing you all the best. Have a great day or night wherever you are. Neuro divergence is the new neuro typical. Psilocybin is great for the neuroplasticity it causes, leading to rewiring and a hyper connected brain. It's done wonders for me and millions of other people at flood down to microdoses worldwide for millenia.
G'day and goodnight from Australia. 🤟
this mans looks 30 and acts like it too. i just turned 29 and i still feel like a kid, i wish i was as smart as him
He’s very smart, hardworking and extremely humble! Great job on that build because it looks fantastic!
Many ppl here calling out his rich background, but that makes it even more awesome. Rich kids always get what they want by buying it ready. This guy has crazy motivation and enthusiasm to work up his skills even tho he could just stack cash for some1 else to make the build for him. How many ppl are willing to cut out the front end from a 1000usd car just to rebuild it better? Mad respects for the guy!
Super inspiring, Always enjoy seeing someone confident in their ideas and willing to try and fail!
Dudes gonna be doing great stuff in the future if he keeps it going
This guy is amazing. He’s only 21. Hope he becomes a legend and continues making amazing cars.
Dude! That’s an awesome build, this is what custom imports was all about at its highest back in the day. Awesome.
I absolutely love the look of those headers as a pipe welder. it looks absolutely bat shit crazy and the welds also look really good! well done to the guy who made that idea into reality!
I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for him, if this is what his 1st build looks like, I can’t imagine his skill set in 5 years or so. He’s the next Chip Foose, Ring Brothers, Kindig-It. I’ve been waiting to see this car on the road, great video!!!.
respect, he did a lot work spend into that car and absolutely did great even without following the usual rules of calculateing and engineering. he defnitly have a passion and you can see how much time hes investing into it. great work, hope you keep up the good work, and your selfmade parts wont fail ❤

Amazing car and guy, met him the other weekend. Also so proud to see how far Charles has came as a videographer and following his dreams to cover crazy shit like this!
Insane skills, enthusiasm and pride went into that build.
And I love the face hugger headers.
this is hands down the most insane, creative, amazing build i've ever seen....ever.
loved watching this car be built overtime! so glad to see his hard work paying off!
This is super cool. I was rebuilding engines for my cars at 16. Good to see young people doing things.
Where there is a will , there is a way. This kid killed it
Not taking anything away from what he's done but man, the stuff you can do when you have financial aid and sponsors. I dont even know how he had the time to do all this with college.
Rich parents goes a looong way. Not as fortunate on my end, but Im still happy with the Broken Honda Pilot i got from working minimum wage over here. Cant even afford basic tools to start working on my car.
His paren't didn't help him. He did this all himself. He got sponsors BECAUSE he was doing cool stuff and showing it off.

Wow an 86 I actually like. It's a work of art for sure.
This car is freaking REmarkable...... Extremely clean. What an incredible build.
His passion & drive are thru the roof for a young fella. Such a badass car. Im genuinely excited to follow his journey. His level of talent is just insane.
This is super cool throughout the car front and back! Good job it shows your hard work!!
The haters just wish it didn’t run. Crazy amount of respect for tackling this build alone. I do all my work transmission and engine swaps, but this fabricating is on another level. Keep killing it!
This guy has crazy a natural aptitude for mechanical inclination paired w work ethic and dedication, but Self taught doesn’t mean the same thing it did when i was a kid. CZcams info is more comprehensive than any class i ever took, and it offers way more techniques and opinions than any one master could ever teach. Better described as an unconventional, purposely directed education.
That's a trophy car, what a beautiful build and amazing vision. Some give this guy a contract, this guy has talent!
Damn. Dude is the ultimate example of what you can do if you just get off the couch. Congrats man
This guy is truely inspiring personality. MAD RESPECT
What a nice combo, it can blurb like a cruiser but also scream like a track beast.
Proves anything is possible..Absolutely excellent video... Especially the last 2 minutes. Very important for the younger generation to watch..
I watched every single minute of this video strictly because of how diy this was. Amazing and inspiring!
Really sick build. The fact that he did it himself makes it even better.
Video doesnt do it justice at how immaculate this car is, in person its a whole different world, amount of attention to detail that is in this car is amazing
I followed this build for some time already and for the reason, that cam is as old as me, he is a true inspiration. I have some dreams for all the cars i have, but i will have to pretty much reorganize myself. I will have to get to every one of my 6 cars that i own at this point, but as you showed us, this is very much possible
What an absolutely amazing achievement, regardless of age, it's awesome. Great freaking job man. Mind blown.
MASTERPIECE! its tru they say LESS IS MORE... so clean. The Kid DESERVES MAD RESPECT - the drive - the dedication - the vision - the finished product -------------- what a story ! inspiring!
Some people are just unique, Cam, i’m lost for words, geniosity, if it’s a word is mild, phaakin brilliance
I’m glad you made this video telling his story. As much as I love social media because I get the chance to see amazing people do amazing things, I hate the downside. Horrible people talking down on people being negative. People were saying that he got Wealthy parents dumping money on you. Or that he was faking it and didn’t do it himself and couldn’t have the knowledge and skills to do it. I love his story and passion. He’s very talented and I can’t wait to see his next project 🙏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Holy hell THAT SOUND!!!! What a sick build!
love the sound the doors make when they close. years apart but has the same sound as my 1989 Subaru RS Legacy.
This is guy is the definition of an autodidact. I love the story and ambition behind this car!
Great video! The amount of dedication to his craft and the extremity of this art piece is utterly inspiring. What a machine. It needs to be suspended with walkways around it for people to look at it from every angle lol
Imagining this is already amazing but executing it to highest level at his age is truly remarkable
Mad Respect!

That thing is RIDICULOUS. I LOVE everything about it. Wow
Jeeeezus... Cannot wait to see what he builds as he gets older!
So much attention to detail 😮❤ 👍 👍 Form and function come together with his own style. That is what custom car building is about. Great work.
Dang!!! This awesome. I loved this built so much!!!
DUDE!! 19? And such determination? This man rocks!
mind blowing! what a wicked build! congrats
This car is a sick bit of kit. He is a legend in the making
This car really shows how simple cars can be. Yes they are harder and harder the deeper you get into everything, but since this car is largly modularized and has minimal crossovers between the compartments that make it up it's pretty simple. What do you need: an engine, a gearbox something to connect the spinning thing at the end of the gearbox to the wheels and tires, you need a box to sit in, you need to connect the box to your wheels, you need brakes to slow down and that's pretty much it. The engine for example: it most certainly becomes a harder subject the deeper you get into it but if you look at it like a blackbox with wires, it really isn't connected in a whole lot of places; it needs fuel from somewhere, it needs exhaustgasses to go somewhere, it needs to be connected somewhere to use the power, it's surrounded by air, it needs a digital signal and it needs to be held in place. How that's done is a different question but you can see that the engine is a thing of it's own and not connected with wires going everywhere and while that's an art of itself it perfectly portrays how when you go the "simple rout" with something you can then build on it with great details like the 8 in 1 collector for example to polish it to make it something truly great.
i remember seeing this, the absolute work involved is insanity. let alone first time ever doing it
Man keep on it ! Make a check list of all your little issues that hamper drivability and knock it out 1 by 1. I have worked on countless vehicles. Getting things totally fine tuned is fulfilling !
“My knowledge, my skill……my family’s money.” 😂
All realities aside, that’s a sick ass car!
He probably had a little money from his family but he sounds like he works hard as shit for everything he does.
That guy has a lot of self taught custom car building that car is badass absolutely love it
That exhaust is a whole vibe.
this kid is absolutely unreal. so much respect
Congrats cam! Fire build bro🔥💯
14: I feel like walking us through what you said and how you went about getting sponsors would help a LOT of people out. That seems like such a huge and luck driven step but you got it and knowing how would be amazing.
I'm more of a prerunner/offroad guy and that bumper/ front end made my pants tight AF. Beautifully built car.
Awesome video, I'm impressed with his god damn welds let alone anything else! Instead of hating on this guy for having an awesome build, why don't you draw inspiration and make your own reality better? I probably won't ever have anything like that equipment let alone ability, even just a hoist is a dream for me, but still it doesn't stop me from making my own project build to the best of my situation. Way to go young man, shows what time and focus can do.
This thing is insane! Awesome!🤘
