13:08 To be fair, Hal literally can’t smoke in the same second after he got invisible walled. The smoke is blocking sight, and he did swing right to get vision almost immediately after it.
If Hal did re-smoke at the timing Gen and Zero want, it would barely be useful since you can’t guarantee the smoke will hit where you want, especially for a controller with a drift.
13:18 And also, Zero clearly didn’t listen to the coms from Hal, he just climb it straight after, and even if Hal “successfully” re-smoke immediately, the smoke wouldn’t even make it on time since it takes half the second to actually expend.
But even if Zero climb up at that timing, Hal still should’ve smoke it again to buy some time from those nades

Hal did made a bad call from there but Zero made a mistake too. Hal messed up his first smoke (with a bad call) and Zero is already trying to climb before hal could re-smoke. So Hal decided not to smoke since he saw Zero already climbed the wall.
Just for my perspective, I think Hal doesn't want to mess up the smoke again so he tried to peak on his first smoke (because he can't see the path clearly) for him to align his second smoke better for Zero (that's why Hal is going on the right), but didn't worked because Zero already climbed before that even happen.
Zero just needs to wait for Hal to say I smoked it instead of just yoloing it
Zero and gent low key always team against Hal . Bc yes Hal messed the smoke up but zero clearly could’ve waited a few seconds for the second smoke and that would’ve solved that whole initial damage problem which led to nade stacking, being swung, and dying. However, both gent and zero kinda ignore that fact which could easily turn around the result of that play

Hal: Smoked the wrong area anyway even if there weren't an invisible wall there, and even the invisible wall is technically his mistake for not knowing it's there.
Zer0: Decided to be impatient/vindictive of Hal's mistake and climbed up into 150hp of damage, killing his whole team.
Gen: Baited Zer0 into not healing in time for the push by giving a Pheonix.

@@hisnameisbass6405 Hal doesn't expect Zer0 to climb the first time after his smoke mistake and doesn't want to use both smokes that short of each other to have a long cooldown before another. Plus, Hal couldn't see where to smoke after the first one hit so why risk missing two smokes right after each other when you are stuck in a bad position to begin with and rely on cover.
@@SnowStreets again, both parties in this scenario messed up. yes hal did go to smoke a second time but regardless of when zero decided to climb he still should’ve smoked them its still the better decision. he still knew exactly where the team was after whiffing the first smoke. although zero did comm like 3-4 times he couldn’t climb and needed smoke its best he should’ve been patient in that situation knowing the danger.
@@KalexVII no matter their position smoking off the team shooting them is always the better option. even if the first smoke was blocking his vision he knew where the team was shooting them from to smoke their direction instead of nothing at all. even gen said “just smoke it anyway”. also instead of comming he hit an “invisible wall” which tells zero nothing he should be yelling at zero to not climb until he can properly smoke them. bangs double time would also allow him to quickly run out to see them better to smoke and get back. hal just tried to smoke from that corner for some reason lol. but again both basically did their own thing and threw so both were responsible here.
From the angle to which hal is aiming, I think he's trying to smoke across to avoid zero from getting shot while he's climbing. However, he hit an invisible wall, which is definitely his fault on that, but given the fact that he's on this character for not too long, I think it's understandable. He could've smoke again, that's true though. Zero could've waited before he climbed, from his POV it's clear that the place where he's climbing is not smoke and he still climbed, and to make things worse, he chose to climb on the left side which requires a longer straight line which rises the risk of him getting beamed. So I'll say Hal should take 60-70 percent of the liability but it's definitely not that bad. Hope the boys well.
To be fair,... Hal and zero have there rolls backwards, if your playing bang your the first man into the fight and controlling angles with smokes and Hal is like anchoring? Zero on blood in theory is great but he can't play like he's infantry fragger. Zer0's ego probably thought he could've done better even though Hal has been playing Blood fine. I doubt their coach would be that dumb to think Hal on bang is a good idea going forward. It's just never going to be better than what they were originally playing. Don't get me wrong Zer0 can pump out damage but it's more of a problem of who's on bang, not Blood.
Craziest part about this video is them putting Hal on Bang and not Zero. Man plays Bang far better than most.

Idk man I think most pros would understand the smoke didn't go where intended if the bang player is saying anything at all about their smoke. No one says ''Good smoke''. They just say when it's bad. Zer0 knew he messed up but still went for the climb and a very risky bat cancel while stuck in a corner. Zer0 100% got mad at his two mistakes in a row that got him downed and killed and his ego took it out on Hal.
Gen also backing up Zer0 like that is just weird. The same thing happened today with Zer0 saying some shit and their coach didn't say anything about Hal when he should've.

Hals biggest weakness has always been invalidating his teammates and not communicating properly. Everyone in here is pointing fingers about where the play went wrong in game. It honestly doesnt matter as much as hal just owning up to the situation so they can move past it instead of denying the fact that hes a flawed human like a complete child. He straight up lied about using his second smoke so he wouldnt have to take criticism, which is hilarious given that hes just getting a small dose of his own medicine.
Its a good thing hes a top apex pro because he would be pretty much unemployable in a normal job.
It's simply two players that have never been frequently called out on their mistakes teaming up and overcoming issues. They both see every issue, not tiny ones that 99% of teams wouldn't know they even did. So when two players see every issue each other make, no one is safe from being called out.
Didn't watch the entire clip but Hal should not be playing Bang, and Zer0 should not be playing Blood. I'm guessing Zer0 wanted to try out Blood since he hardly ever gets too and he still puts out insane damage on Mnk.

They were dead because another team pushed, and it should have been the other team if they just sat back where they could have retreated.
