If you’ve read my recent community post, I’ve just sat in front of a camera for a few minutes to give some context… I’ll put that out later this week ❤️
Hope you feel better soon, Jen!
Hi Jen, hope you will be well enough to get back to your Happy Self...find yourself a nice stretch of water to aid your recovery...x
Take care,
Jon B.
Jen
trains usually help me
Acton has seven stations. North, East, South, West, Central, Town and Main Line.
I remember when the North London Line went to North Woolwich. It was a slow and dirty line at the time but there was a good railway museum at North Woolwich station and from there you could (and still can) walk under the Thames or take the Woolwich Ferry. The line is much better now the Overground have taken it over.
And the alternative docklands light railway route offers a much better service plus connections south of the river
I wonder if there are people who refuse to use those brightly-coloured trains. Can't say it would make me unhappy to learn that there are!
Definitely better off travelling without those people 😂
Even if I don’t like the design, I would use it cause it’s unique and I need to get where I need to go.
So glad youtube is showing me your video today! A Jen video brings me joy :)
The A41 goes all the way into Liverpool via the Birkenhead tunnel. You’re dead right, it travels some. Cracking film, really enjoyed seeing you sucking up the calm on your walk.
Thanks!
Thank you _so_ much... that is beyond generous!
North London Line is a good commuter route, great video Jen
I commute on that line it's great 👍👍
I did a few years shuttling between Hampstead and Richmond; generally pretty nice - although when it breaks it breaks pretty spectacularly.
This used to be one of my local lines many years ago, back when the service was a two coach class 416 every 20 minutes. I've lost count of how many times West Hampstead station has been refurbished / rebuilt since then.
It's a pity you were only on the Pride train for about 30 seconds, as West Hampstead and Finchley Road & Frognal are very close together
Last time I was in the London I did the entire Overground in a day! Of course, I didn't get to see many of the stations like you did Jen - that's for another time. One that comes to mind is Crystal Palace. There's a lovely privately run cafe inside the grand old station building so, when you finally get down that way be sure to stop for refreshments. I found myself at Willesden Junction a LOT on that trip! It's not pretty but I finally came to appreciate it - like you appreciate your washing machine really - it's there, it does a job, then you ignore it for a while.
I have been on the North London Line. And very soon the North London Line is to be renamed as Mildmay Line from Autumn this year.
The Gunnersbury Triangle Nature Reserve looks great. Lovely solitude with passing trains. Couldn't be better! Hope you are doing ok x
Willesden and Kensal are very handy for accessing our narroboat when it is moored in that part of That London
Hi Jen, jyst watched your North Londin Line vlig, I assume it was made before you felt unwell?
Be reassured that we're all hoping to see you back to your happy self soon...
Take care,
Jon B.
This was filmed back in April (The day after the Marston Line videos to be precise!
I'm making some changes, things will pick up!
@@JenOnTheMove Ah, as long as you're heading the right way health wise. x
Should have visited the Park in Acton Central. It's got love pary and mini golf as well.
Brilliant video Jen, I've still not been on that aprt of the North London (soon to be Mildmay) line yet. The Overground Pride unit is awesome. :)
I absolutely love that dress!!
o recently did Wilesden Junction its great for trainspotting trains on the WCML the North London Line & good for freight & its prob one of those places you need to spend hours there trainspotting & im loving the Pride train & it looks amazing & i recently had a ride on that train & loved every minute of riding it & even got a shot of it now brilliant vlog
Such a gorgeous woke train, I absolutely love it. I feel a series coming on 😂
Great as always Jen.
X
Jen you can see voyagers at Wilsden junction.
I love your dungaree dress! It's awesome 😁
I stayed in Brondesbury Rd, beside Queens Park station, for 3 years. It was pronounced the way the on train did it.
Great video as usual Jen! So many Actons!
I like to visit one randomly once in a while. I call it Acton on impulse 😂
@@dazzlingdaz187 'Long groan'
@@dazzlingdaz187 If that was said in a video, I'd dip to black and overlay *tumbleweed* on the screen 🤣
I've only been on it once when in 2014 when I was staying at a friend's flat in Tufnell Park. I got the train from Gospel Oak to Barking but I came back via Waterloo.
I might have been on the district line through gunnersbury in 2003. I can't really remember.
All manner of crazy walkways and freight connector lines around Willesden Junction, almost worth a video in their own right - Hampstead Heath a good place for the next clip to start - thanks for the summer vibes \m/
So, so many stations that are NOT wheelchair accessible, and even those that are, the trains are NOT! Heavens above, London, get your act together!
There are surprisingly many green places
in the great metropolis.
Thanks for sharing these locations,
Great video Jen, hopefully one day you do stations on the Sussex coast, Chichester has a canal i can show you it 😊
Back in the late 90s i used to go between Willesden Junction to North Woolwich quite frequently
Loved your comment about annoying the Gamons!
Thank you for this great video ! I also really like the colourful Overground trains. I use the East London line of the Overground daily, and the names that have been conjured up for the various lines making up the Overground system are absurd, and just political nonsense. The name coined for the East London line is the Windrush Line, which is daft. The Windrush refers to the ship Empire Windrush which used to dock at Tilbury - miles from any station on the East London line ! My fellow passengers and I will continue to refer and use “The Overground” ! Enjoy your walks and I look forward to your next video!
Great video, Jen - you know it wasn’t filmed recently as you were complaining about the heat 😜
The Rainbow taxis in Manchester were great! Yes, I'm that old.
Great video, Jen
May you always be in your happy place Jen x
Jen that hill you walked up is part of my local park
I love this one as have travelled on the NLL many times but never seen outside many of the stations. Love the Pride train too , what’s not to like ?
Some stations are OK, and some are in urgent need of rebuilding
Very nice, Brondesbury, just a fancy word of Kilburn.
Giles, Giles and Fripp? Brondesbury? (Anglo-Irish prog fans?)😅❤
6:13 Tram R.O.T.F.L
That nature reserve triangle was only lacking a proper water feature (lake/pond/canal) for it to be perfect, right, Jen?
Pride train, pride train!
That train makes me happy 🙂Doe's that annoy you? 🙃
Is the Trainbow the "correct" colours, cause they've had the oppertunity to use the TFL colours for each of the lines but I'm not sure they have. and it'll be such a shame if they haven't used the TFL colours
Confused myself, saw the black line on the map and thought that itwas the northern line...is this what was the District Line?
This has always been national rail to my knowledge
@@JenOnTheMove Don't know what was wring with me, somehow I just got it into my head at the beginning that you were travelling on a Tube Train and couldn't shake it off. What was I thinking?
Jen didn't the old network south east tiles at Willesden Junction made you at least like the station?
You could just make videos about nature reserves. I’d watch them!
Yay! Pride Train! ❤❤❤❤🎉
Girly! You should be drinking water in the heat! Not Coffee & Coke!
I do have a water bottle too 🙂
@@JenOnTheMove ok good :)
Nice to see you finding joy.... that's it really. rather a boring comment really.
Why is that train particularly “the best train” did it have more comfy seats?
Content-plation
I find this Overground line boring after I used it thousands of times to go to secondary school, the only routes I like on this network are the ones which both go to Walthamstow
7:29 I like seeing the Pride flag too. And art that incorporates it. 🏳🌈🏳⚧
Have you ever lost anything on train like coat phone or bags
My local line
9:55 the best train again :)
Its pronounced bronsbury park
Brondesbury*
Would i be right in thinking this is the video you were off to make when i bumped into you at Piccadilly station, early the other Saturday morning Jen 🤔
Not quite I'm afraid, this was back in April. The day you saw me is part 2 :)
@@JenOnTheMove looking forward to seeing it Jen. Hope you're feeling more like you're normal self 🤗
7:30 the best train
London Overground Class 378
That’s not Hampstead it’s Parliament Hill. Named after the Gunpowder plot, it was were they supposed to meet to witness the explosion of Parliament.
Parliament Hill is in the southern part of Hampstead Heath; and that's the station she stopped at.
@@spacechannelfiver 40 years living in Gospel Oak Postman in Hampstead for 25. I know the place like the back of my hand.
@spacechannelfiver Best not to argue with the “I think you’ll find” types in the comments, they’ll never be convinced 😂
@@JenOnTheMove you got off a Hampstead Heath and walked up south hill pk. You stood on Parliament Hill also known as kite hill! Correct a wise man! And he will thank you.correct a fool and they will despise you.😂
Case in point ^^
