Nice luggage bag Rick! Looks like it is quite spacious and should keep your gear dry even in a hurricane! Any bigger than you could sleep in it! I haven't used my luggage rack and my crossbars aren't even on my car. We'll have a great week Rick looks like some hot weather is in store for us before the cool fall weather is here to stay. Cider and apple time!
Thank you Dave. It is a big one for sure. Are you still under 8,000 miles on your car? I am catching up to you on the new bike. :) Have a great my friend.
Hard to say Al. I didn't drive around with it up there long enough to know at this point. My guess is it would be a few miles per gallon on the highway. How did your trip go?
@@AZdroptop Still on the trip. In Duluth, MN at the moment .. so far I’m averaging 28 to 30 mpg .. had one at 32 mpg but that was wind aided! Will be heading home after my son’s wedding on the 19th. Up and back I have been camping out of the Trek .. my bed inside is very roomy and comfortable.
That is great Al. What a fun trip and I hope the wedding is great. Nice mileage as well. What kind of speeds are you averaging? Seems like 65 is the break over point for good mpg for my car. Have fun!
@@AZdroptop I usually just set it at whatever the speed limit is and go! Most of the freeway speeds were 75 mph. I’m heading back on the 19th with a day layover in Omaha .. so will get more info. Only have 7500 miles on it so far.
Howdy. Nope, I don't have a phone mount currently in there. With apple cap play it is almost not necessary since I can control my music and texts on the screen.
@@AZdroptop Thanks for the input! I got a 21 Crosstrek recently and the head unit will sometimes freeze, or crash randomly, so I sometimes need to use my phone as a backup GPS. Might just be an Android Auto problem, which gives me more incentive to switch to iPhone, haha.
Oh bummer! My 18 had similar issues with CarPlay for the first year or so! Subaru did a few updates and it was finally fixed thankfully. Might not be android after all. :) I love apple products, but they drive me crazy too. LOL Best of luck.
@@s4iL_ I have a 2021premim manual, I have a galaxy note 9 that is a few years old, it has not crashed, frozen or anything. Its worked flawlessly for me. the only thing I dislike is that music on the media stick plays alphabetically, not numerically and there is no way to change that.

@@AZdroptop I have just over 7600 miles. I have over 3/4 of fuel and got gas last on 6/10. So by Thanksgiving I will probably fill up!
Wow! :) That's awesome. Time for a cross country road trip.
Fan not that loud. Great video thanks
Thank you!
What does that do to the gas mileage? My Rino rack empty costs me 1 to 2 mpg .. depending how the wind is blowing.

Cool! Thanks Al Safe travel to you.
Unrelated question, do you have a phone mounted in your Crosstrek, and if so, how did you go about it?

Do you connect it through a cable or bluetooth? Thank you.
