PRINTIFY IS SH*T!!! I have orders that I now have to refund of customers who ordered back in NOVEMBER and are still waiting OR was sent the wrong items!! 😣😭 Printful actually sent all orders out ON TIME!!!

I was waiting the most basic comparison that just showcased the mechanics of each website but instead I got the video of the year. The fact that you bought each shirt with a design that easy showed each producer's flaws was amazing!

Teespring’s prints aren’t very good anyways! I might of gotten about 10 washes before the graphic started peeling off lol

Hey everyone. Shane here from South Africa. My 14 year old son wanted a side hustle so after watching this video, I helped him setup his Bubble Acc. Wow. That boy has sold over 200 products in only 2 months. So proud. He does all the designs himself and setup a fb page as well as other social media accounts to help on his marketing. Wow wow wow wow

This was really helpful! I was drawn to Teespring because of the youtube creator integrations, where you can advertise your store directly to subscribers below each video. However, knowing redbubble does in-house advertising and printful provides the best quality, does give me options if I decide to branch out in the future and create more stores!
"Advertising" is a strong word for being somewhere among the 200000 search results 😩
I've had pretty poor experiences with quality on print on demand sites. Washed out colors, not sharp and off center items. However, they are GREAT for ordering samples at low cost.

What would have been more appropriate for comparing the different T-shirts from the various suppliers would have been including the T-shirt manufacturer and fabric composition. These affect the print quality immensely! But overall, great video. I’ll be taking a look at Printify.
Thank you for being the only CZcamsr who doesn't say MY WAY IS THE ONLY WAY. I've been so confused about the different sales avenues and this cleared much of that up. Now I know I'll start with Redbubble just to get started and then grow as I learn to do more.

I tried Printful, ordered 10 + merchs to test quality. I would skip them. It came smelling like vinegar and milk dew. The printing was already peeling off. Misaglinment. Mind you 10 different item each has some kinda of issue. not sure about Spreadshirt though.
@@wenliang4757 WOW. A bit shocked to hear that! Did you test Printify or Redbubble? How do they compare in your experience? I personally am very sensitive to strong odors, (too good sense of smell), so, I wouldn't want what I hate for a customer, no way...
19:39 Absolutely correct. In fact Teespring has now rebranded as Spring and pivoted their business model to cater directly to "Creators", aka any entity with a sizable social media following. This channel ought to do a video on that tbh.
The ONLY game in town for just starting out if you have no money OR social media clout is now Redbubble--they have won the war. So start there, save up your, and eventually move on to your own private website.
Random art from an Etsy designer is most likely going to be a JPG - made with pixels. Enlarged, the pixels WILL show. You must have vector artwork created in something like Adobe Illustrator to get a great image print.

Good thing about Printify is that they have ratings for each provider. Plus you can see which include tracking. My store is doing pretty well on Etsy but nothing on spotify :(....randomly teespring deleted my account so no idea what that is about. Redbubble I use just for overseas but Etsy so far has been my best outcome

I wish I had understood TeeSprings marketing before I spend the time to set up a shop on there. Also I love Printify! I’ve had great results with The Dream Junction - they’re quick, the packaging is nice, the shirts come folded neatly & not wrinkled and the print quality & prices are great. Highly recommend them!

I use printful linked with my Etsy shop! How would you say that compares with printify?
Printful is great. Based on the comments here, I really should have reviewed Printful, so I regret not doing that. I didn't include them because I thought the video was too long already. That was my mistake. Printful is fantastic, it's incredibly consistent with quality and they have so many items, it is my #1 favorite provider, but they are more expensive, so you know, pros and cons!

@@sycofya1677 ive been researching this for a while now. my conclusion is to use redbubble but try to sale only the higher quality fabric shirts. alot of people are deleting their teespring accounts bc its poor quality shirts considering the long wait times and high shipping cost. bigger profits on tspring IF you have alot of buyers. but like i said alot of problems with tspring. less profits on redbubble but happier customers and WAY more sales. im going with redbubble, then once i have a good following im gonna try merch by amazon.
So... start with RB and expand from there. 👍
This has been so helpful. I've had trouble with Teespring designs with faded quality. I do like the ease of setting up the store, however, quality and vibrance is more the goal I'm going for, will have a look at Printful. Thanks for this video.
Okay i started a Redbubble account after watching this channel cant even remember how I came across it but it wasnt for T-Shirts originally but now im obsessed but not only that all design and art really. I've sold a few to family members but made a proper sale yesterday after a month on a t-shirt design I made as a joke really but thanks for all the advice. @H R that's just not true? Who said that? They clearly aren't using Printful if they said that recently, because if so, that's slander & not true. They are shipping out my orders within 1-3 business days. It sounds like you're watching an old video from the start of 2020 when covid-19 hit and they had big delays! Before saying a supplier is having "massive delays" based off of what you're reading, I strongly recommend looking at the time stamp of that comment, to see if it's from earlier in the year when covid-19 hit Printful (and almost all the POD companies) because of forced government lockdowns out of their control. This was super helpful. I've been wanting to create shirt designs for a long time and when I finally discovered "print on demand" I landed on Teespring. Ugh....now I'm going to have to redirect some of my efforts. Thanks for the great comparisons!
Well Sarah, you just sold me! I just set up an account on Printify (using your referral link of course) and getting it straight now. I plan on starting with Monster Digital also as you suggested. I currently have a pretty good Etsy shop where I hand make what I call "Road Sign Art", making about $15k last year and looking to make more this year...not bad for a side gig that I didnt see coming! I figured I would see if any of my designs would work on shirts and other items for some extra upsales and link through my Etsy store. Im excited to see how it goes...thanks again for the info, your videos have been full of inspiration so far!

I tried printing a sample with Monster Digital today based on one of your videos I watched last night. One thing that is important to note on your videos is that each company on Printify also has a different maximum print area. I was disappointed to discover that Monster Digital had a maximum print area of 15x17 when another company was offering a 15x19 option. So since my design was a 19 inch tall design, I tried another printer out of the UK. Hopefully the quality is superb. Those extra 2 inches make all the difference in the world for the types of designs I make. If I could go as large at 17x24, that would be perfect, but I know that’s a tough ask, even for traditional screen printers.
I didn't even know about RedBubble. I've been using Teespring. Though Teesprings sticker & mug printing was great.
I started with great eagerness, but soon found my graphic skills and file handling skills are waaayyyy below average. So I've pulled way back, and I'm concentrating on putting product onto Redbubble, so I can learn those skills.
When I get some foundation skills, I'll be back in the Ecomm Clubhouse, ready to scale up!
One thing to note...with any POD service, it is best to upload an image in CYMK otherwise the image will look "washed out" like you mention. If exporting an RGB, best to convert to CYMK work out the color changes and then convert back.

Also depends on the printer they use. DTG printers use RGB instead of CYMK
I thought this was a really valuable video. It confirmed for me that some of Red Bubble's stuff is sub-par. Specifically I have ordered a sample cap - not good - my logo was not embroidered just "stamped" on the cap and it came out looking very faded and kind of small. I also tried my design on their mask and socks - blurry design on both and I thought the mask was not very high quality. Finally I tried out a mug. I put my design over a red background which actually looked great but the paint on the red background started coming off after just a few hand washings. On the other hand I have tried their stickers and those came out great - very high quality. It was good to have you confirm that you really have to check out samples to make sure the quality is there. It can get expensive though! So thank you for recommending a good t shirt company with Printify. I ordered a sample sticker through Printify and wasn't too impressed compared to Red Bubble. Anyone have any good recommendations for a mug company to use through Printify? Thanks Sarah.
Unlike most people, my compliments tend to be rather specific and direct. I would like to compliment you on your "Blink to Soul Piercing Stare Ratio" (BSPSR). I haven't done the math yet, but I'd say you're in the top 3 percentile. Way to go!

if you order from different suppliers again i would love to see how other people react to it. maybe Mimi would have preferred one of the shirts that have a thinner fabric or she thinks the washed-out prints are cooler. Redbubble! They just need to improve the quality of their shirts and their prints. You even can pay more and get a Tshirt with better quality!
@@rezav2062 all pod is a hit and miss. it depends on if they will edit your image or print as is. what you see on your screen is not what they see on there's. specially if there monitor is calibrated and your is not. I think redbubble didnt edit your design and printed as is. and thats why is washed looking although that how dtg is. another reason lots of companys dont print that vibrant is cuz the ink cartridge cost $240 each and the white goes out faster and at the sametime so your paying $500 to replace everytime it goes out and thats basically every day lol. I print so I actually knowthe prices.

On 2/4/23, I ordered two shirts on Spring to test out their customer service. This is what they sent back: Expected Arrival: Fri, Feb 24 - Tue, Feb 28. They have not yet arrived. When I checked the status today, I saw this: Your order is in production now. They will not be getting my business when I launch later this year. On the other hand, maybe they meant that the expected arrival date range is: Fri, Feb 24 - Tue, Feb 28 2034 or 2040...

fantastic advice and very thorough and informative video! I got so much value out of this. Thank you so much for your time end effort! I was stressing out on the costs of selling merch. I basically gave up after I went through Teesping awhile back. Little did I know there were other companies out there that had better quality. Their print quality was horrible and I was embarrassed as I seen one of my coworkers with my hoodie on. This got me really excited to try again with the merch! THANK YOU AGAIN!

@@gemini_ai4168 Organic sales are basically the ones you didn't have to pay money to get. Organic is not the right word here, as Haris wanted to say that Teespring has a couple of flaws:
1. You need to get your own sales in order to even hope to sell anything with your store (build an audience on social media ect).
2. Doesn't give you flexibility like Printful or Printify to have your own store which is not really beneficial for your branding.
3. I heard that quality is not impressive.
Same. I had a friend purchase one of my Teespring account shirts so I could see what the quality was like. I had selected one of the most expensive tees because it was supposed to be higher quality, better fit, softer, etc. They send a Hanes V-neck.

Wow, you answered so many questions that I had about Teespring and red bubble. My shirts are going to be just text or music notes on a staff. All white silk screen mainly on black or other dark colored T-shirts. In that case it seems likeTeespring or red bubble would be the best fit for me, as most of the traffic will be driven from one of my three CZcams channels. I've tried them all and agree with Sarah 100%. Unfortunately I wasted lots of time setting up those shops before getting the product samples. Redbubble and Teespring might still be worth it for black and white text shirts.
It's true that black & white designs will not be as impacted by the lack of quality printing as a color design!
Thanks Sarah, I am so glad you did this review, especially Teespring. I was selling through all 3 of these companies, but don’t sell Teespring now due to my experiences. I purchased a design I did for my daughter on a hoodie and some socks. Shipping to Australia took months and cost me way too much. Teespring were not helpful when I was trying to track it. However, when we finally got the products, the socks were quite significantly different sizes.🤷♀️ so much for quality control!
The print on both hoodie and socks was quite good from a photo of her dog, but the customer/seller service was pathetic. I could not have customers going through that experience. They did eventually replace the socks, and they even sent another hoodie, so with the cost it ended up not too bad, but like you said, when you are starting out if you can’t get that trust score, you don’t get seen, so what’s the point?!
I have never sold a t-shirt through Redbubble or Printify, only facemasks, but the quality of Printify printers definitely seems better as the facemasks through Printify get 5 star reviews and great comments. So good to know which printers to go with for T-shirt quality.

Sarah, thank you so much. I am a longtime subscriber and have always loved your fair and honest presentation's. I did not know that about Printify! That is pretty amazing. I AM on Teespring and Teepublic and MBA as well as Redbubble (shotgun approach, LOL!). I agree with you that RB definitely has it's place, but as you said, it depends on what your initial goals are. I am a huge proponent of quality and efficiency and may end up shutting my Teespring and Teepublic stores - I've not put a lot of work in them, just about 10 design's each. I like the market reach of RB even though I've not sold one thing on there! I am still drawn to it. I had a Shopify store but I didn't do it right back then and you've made me rethink this and focus on just 2 or 3 items. Anyway, thank you very much! By the way, if you ever think about it, I would love to see how MBA stacks up against Printify. I know the process for MBA is different. Thanks again! 👍😉

Awesome, The number one priority once you are up and running, before a soul buys anything is for you to buy your own product. Why? Watch the video and find out ✅ This is my own opinion and no this won't be for everyone as some only want the sales. I personally want to test the companies that will be printing for me.

T-Spring is now just "Spring" and some things have changed, but my question is does Printify also have the range of products of Spring? In particular, their embroidered items like ballcaps and regular printed cups are really nice.

i love monster digital. i've never had a disappointing they've printed for me. and the thing is, if i sell it, i also own it myself. because i want to know first hand the type of product i'm putting out. so i always order myself an item as well.
if i'm making the item myself then thats one thing, but using a company to help, thats different and if i won't wear it, then i don't want to sell it. i've managed to many times find quality printers doing that.
it's easier when you can order just one item and not have to order a set amount.

I was considering teespring until I watched this... I have enough work to do already with online content... Any more marketing is just NOT possible.... As for Redbubble.. I just watched a video on how POD shirts stand up to multiple washings... Redbubble failed miserably... Looks like I'll be staying with Printify, and Monster and Dimona..... Really good video, as always!!!

Would testing a shirt design on Etsy or Redbubble before making your own store be a good practice? I’m hesitant to run ads for tee-shirts.
A lot of people start that way! If you'd prefer to do that, go for it.

I've watched all your videos and I love your channel but for this one, just a few things... On Redbubble, instead of turning off products that the image doesn't "fit" on, you can resize the image to fit all the items. Also, this isn't quite a real price comparison as Redbubble's price contains advertising, customer service, shipping & handling, taxes, returns. For Printify, you mentioned that the t-shirt price was for your premium subscription. So there's also the cost of your subscription and your website and you have to do customer service (which I know you hire a VA for - but most regular people will do this themselves). So, although this is a good video to show the print quality of each, it's not really a price comparison.
I have to sort of "gloss over" some aspects of the platforms in my videos, just to keep the videos snappy. I could definitely have resized that image & had it fit on some of the products for sure 🌞 my point wasn't to say that it couldn't have fit on all of those products, sorry, my point is everyone can pick/choose for themselves. I could have made that much clearer 🙏
It's true that I gave the Printify premium price. The non-premium price is only $1.20 more 🌞 it's still significantly cheaper than RedBubble if you don't want to buy a premium subscription 🌞
I do mention that the RedBubble price is all-inclusive. I spend the first few minutes of the video focused on that point, to give context to the the price I state so that people don't just balk: that they understand what you get, whereas with Printify they only make the shirt 🙏

just got my samples from teespring - the prints came off after first wash
My redbubble samples - prints look pretty bad - but they didn't come off after the wash though

I heard the worst is Printful, but your video shows a clarification note saying "Printify, not Printful, sorry!, Then you said the best is Monster digital, which in fact is also named Printify. I suppose I'm misunderstanding your clarification note, and so the worst is -Printful- since the best is -Monster Digital Printify-. Am I right? Regards!
A further warning on Teespring: I had Teespring print about a half dozen shirts, and less than six months later the designs on all of them are basically illegible. Comparing the Amazon Merch shirts I've had made, THOSE have lasted over three years. The initial product from Teespring is decent enough, but just basic passage through the washing machine a few times will absolutely trash it.
Spreadshirt is a better quality option, in my experience. You might want to have a look at that one.
(My ongoing quest: to find a print-on-demand supplier with an integrated storefront that pays regularly through PayPal and can print a decent-quality 100% cotton shirt that I can sell for $15 and put about $5 of that in my pocket.)
I agree, I have some online shops and hope to get more passive streams as I build. Can you comment or look into the American Student Debt criss? We have an entire generation bogged down with debt that they don’t allow us to pay to principal, only say it goes to interest rates. It’s very cumbersome on many graduates. Any thoughts? Thank you.

Hi would you like an easier income than this lol, how does a 1-1.5% a day return on your outlay sound? From a 1 off payment, you will never have to pay again in your life thats a promise, so as you earn more your returns get greater, its a win win.

That is exactly what I did. I'm having trouble though in general I am Very computer illiterate.
Teespring has much higher profit margins and you only have to make the first 1-10 sales on your own until your trust score goes up, so there is much more profit to be made. Why not post on them all though :)

I have been watching your videos since you came up with your first video "Ebay final value fee". your content has been great and I have learnt some valuable information from your content. you're the reason why I have stayed away from dropshipping lol.
from my experience so far I feel Print on demand doesn't make you good passive income. if you're making $10 profit on one t-shirt which is usually the case if you go with "Redbubble" or "TeeSpring", you will have to sell 100 of them to make $1000 profit.
if you go with Printify and have your own store in Shopify then you will have to rely on Influencer marketing, FB/insta ads or SEO.
1. to be realistic FB/insta ads are never profitable with print on demand.
2. Influencer marketing is a hit and a miss.
3. SEO is probably the only organic way but could take upto 8 months to 1 year before you start seeing results.
What are your thoughts about it?

1) When you say "could take up to 8 months to 1 year to see results" as though that's a long time... That is a very short time for a business to be successful. So many people seem to have really unrealistic ideas around how long it will take to get good at building a business: czcams.com/video/L4R9Om57zag/video.html
2) If sounds like you have unrealistic ideas about profit margins. A 10% profit margin would be average, especially for a business selling physical profits. The profit margins in POD are actually above the curve because successful stores usually achieve at least 15% even with paid ads.
However paid ads aren't passive, they require management, so saying "passive income" and paid ads in the same sentence isn't really fair. If passive income is the goal, I recommend treating your business as a long term project and invest into building up your SEO presence: czcams.com/video/3SigfkatIuk/video.html
