- Decided to do a proper nitro drift build and try and make it as scale as possible! The rc realistic exhaust along with the many aftermarket and custom modifications combined with the original tamiya 2 speed turned out to be a wonderful package! You can tell I've been watching too Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift too many times. Going drifting with this 1/10 scale nitro rc car is so spectacular to watch it just makes me smile constantly! The way it drives is so rear wheel drive bias even though it is a modified and nitro. Hope you enjoy the video :)

These are so dope I think I want one ..I've always like drift cars but had no idea of a nitro version..pretty cool bro
the real drift is rwd though, but this is still pretty cool for a parking lot but gets too fast on a track and you cant maintain those nice angles

Thank you ! The diff in the front makes an incomplete rotation for every full rotation of the rear ! my estimate was 70/30
@@carbonelement77 So you have different gearing in the 2 diffs front to rear that you specifically tailored to achieve this 70/30 ratio ( approximately)?

Came to the comments section to see how many people were triggered about 4wd being called drifting... I was not disappointed lmao
10 years ago, every drift chassis was 4wd,50/50 or not. And no one relied on gyro. Just pure skill and setup. Gyro was even banned on comps
Have you tried drifting this on synthetic grass - such as hockey field?

I want to get into the hobby but every single time I would break something.
I got it secondhand from a guy who competitively raced it in the Victorian nationals in Australia back in 2004.
Everything it custom and parts are really hard to find (GS or RS RACING?🤔) I had it looked at years ago because it would randomly turn into gutters.
I think it would act up because it's the old crystal fatuba receiver/transmitter.
I've got a digital transmitter/receiver replacement and I'm hoping that fixes the problem.
What tyres do you use? 🤔
I used the electrical tape but want more of a clean look.
Surprisingly out of the 30+tyre's, nothing slides and this thing won podium consecutively over the year's so it's more than fast.
I was told 160kph in 2nd in under 2 seconds...
Any information and help would be greatly appreciated. 👍

The fact that we have people calling this “drifting” still to this day, is just a huge disappointment.
