Barry’s still right, what Godspeed did to Bart(killing Jay who Bart was extremely close with) is nothing compared to what Thawne did to Barry. Thawne murdered his mother, got his father sent to prison, made him the flash, befriended him, trained him, became a father figure to him just to betray him, caused Eddie and Ronnie’s deaths, Barry was even forced to beg Thawne to kill his own mother at one point, Thawne also caused Barry’s daughter to be erased from existence. When u compare all of that to simply killing Jay(which is still sad) Barry is right to tell him not to throw that name around lightly, he’s not saying Godspeed didn’t hurt Bart he’s just saying that u have to know the weight of throwing out that comparison

Exactly, when I saw this scene I though of Zoom just cause he killed Barry’s dad in front of him and in this timeline how Godspeed killed Jay in front of Bart. I wouldn’t go as far to compare him to Thawne or Zoom besides that. What Thawne did was way bigger than what God Speed did. You just can’t compare them.

How do we know how Godspeed is just as diabolical as Thawne is in the future. Barry in the present doesn't know what the future holds yet. Nora is angry as well, but she tries her best to keep everything in check.
While true, Godspeed could have done some similar stuff to Bart. Who knows how diabolical Godspeed is in the future. All we know is that he killed Jay in front of Bart. It could have been a situation like Arrow and Slade where Godspeed forced Bart to choose who to save between 2 love ones and he didn't choose Jay. I'm sure Bart and/or Nora knows more than enough about Reverse Flash to know how evil he really was.
Imagine if Father and son talking to each other both relatively closer age, both having similar rage problems, similar traumas... Beautiful Dad son scene this was... Good one CW, Grant Gustin one hell of an actor...
yeah, I think so too that Grant Gustin is a good , even brilliant actor, but CW, intermixing other shows on CW, with/into the Flash shows themselves, switched up the pace, tone and characters. Disruptive and distracting. All the great characters too have left the show, it’s on a slow death march. The show was a great study on social norms. B/W race mix, gay couples, adults in important roles then being dimwits……….how entertainment is delusional in the making. But, the show go down as legendary.

Not gonna lie. It kinda bugged me when Barry and Iris went straight to “We’re your parents and what we say goes”. Like, they didn’t even entertain the notion that Nora and Bart might know things they didn’t. I was glad when Nora told them that they barely knew them.

This scene was such a joke. It's sad and all what it turns out godspeed did that hurt bart, but comparing what he did to thawne, who quite literally ruined flash's entire life, can't seem to ever be fully put down (gone from existence in Season 1, killed original harrison wells, hatched a plan that led to original nora being erased, crisis on earth X, and more), etc. It was ridiculous. Zoom would've made for a better comparison.

Does anyone agree with me in saying that, at the moment (until we know more about Godspeed’s interaction with Bart), that Godspeed is Bart’s zoom because until we know more, zoom is the more accurate comparison for Bart than Thawne.
But Bart did say he does understand who Thawne is to Barry but I until we know more I’m unconvinced.
Seeing what happened in the latter episode, Zoom was a way better comparison.Comparing godspeed to everything that Thawne has done was disrespectful even if Bart was trying to be that way, and was just pissed and trying to make his father "get it." The scolding made sense.

The first time I saw Nora in Season 7, i just realized that she is more mature than in the 5th season
I get what everyone is saying, even though it's ideal that Barry should automatically assume that since Bart is comparing godspeed to Thawne he should know he killed someone close to Bart. But Barry really had no way of knowing since the last Nora didn't know that Thawne killed his mother until he told her while they were on a mission. Barry didn't know if his future self told them about what Thawne did. He thought Bart was comparing his and Thawne's dynamic not the situations.
I wonder how happy Barry is to see his daughter again and I haven’t seen the season so sorry
