When I notice huggin and munnin I lost it, I knew I had to get this set once I really started noticing all the mythology
love this set. the ship is quite a decent size
and lego sets with a connection with history are almost always cool. This is set is, because the shape and the minifigures. THEY MUST BRING HISTORY LEGO SETS BACK, like knights, and vikings.
I love seeing older ppl play with legos its so cool to see how ppla are still into them like i am ur a great dude man! Iam 14 and i tucking love legos i always tot picked on in school for thqt and lots of other reasons i love wqtfhing these so i could see te sets like this cuz i dont have the money to get them my self lol

nice muisc for this set. cool to listen while you are building it. if you think on vinkings while building it, it's amazingly nice.
Little expensive, I think lego 31109 pirate ship is best and they should not retire it , they should manufacture it more
Do you have the old 7018 to compare? I think, the ship itself looks almost as good, despite only basic elements instead of the fancy parts back then. The serpent however has a difficult stand against the old Bionicle based beast.

The problems I have are the horns on the helmets and the sails id rather have them been fabric like the old sets

Build the main set first, think about alternative builds later

Lego is a danish company right? So why oh why are they still pushing the idea that vikings=horned helmets? There are very few surviving helms from the Iron Age and none have horns. Yes some warriors of the time were known to have worn horned helmets but they are typically the exception rather than the rule.
Even the National Museum of Denmark says as much “In a battle situation, horns on a helmet would get in the way. Such helmets would also have caused problems on board the warships, where space was already at a premium. In addition, none of the contemporary sources mention Vikings wearing horned headgear….However, there is some evidence to suggest that certain warriors wore such headgear. The horned figures on the Golden Horns are berserkers. These were wild warriors, who threw themselves into battle in a trance-like fury.”
So why is LEGO perpetuating this stereotype? 🤔🤷
And whilst the vikings did use siege weapons like ballistas, it’s unlikely they be used on a ship like some form of ancient ship’s artillery.
About horn helmet,I think just because it looks cool.
