From the get go, The GVM upgrade for us has not just been hard yet it's been super confusing. Id love to read your stories on your GVM upgrades and what your process was.
Thankfully though, the GVM upgrade process is almost done, Only 2 more days until we head to Brisbane and finally after a long waiting pick up our Y62.

Stamp duty is killer! Government has to take a cut of everythjng. Hopefully no more extra costs for yas. Best wishes & cant wait to watch your adventures❤🎉

Hey family, it's me you're friend in the US... West Virginia.
Just letting you know that the government screws ya at EVERY CORNER! We purchase a car and pay taxes... then every year we have to pay taxes on the car again in order to get a sticker to be legal, then the car has to be inspected to have another sticker to be considered legal. We also have to show proof of auto insurance before either of those stickers can be released. I never quit understood why we have to pay taxes when purchasing and pay taxes every year, ( and it's not cheap).

While you're in Brisvagas, watch the footy played in heaven, Rugby League and the Broncos play. They always fleece you with extra this and extra that in fees. You must be excited about getting the new van (chuckle).

@@thatfalzonfamily I am well thanks. I'm just a little surprised that you hadn't researched months ago exactly what the Rego, insurance, stamp duty etc. costs for your rig was going to be.

also i believe she has registered the vehicle wrong. its any vehicle OVER 4.5 Tonne is classed as a commercial vehicle in Queensland. therefore it still being classed as a passenger vehicle. the price was still close to $5000 for it. as the way she has registered it actually requires luke to have a Light Rigid truck license
Yeah that's exactly what I thought..
I would definitely look into that before hitting the road because you don't want to be stuck on the side of the road with a licence for a car you can't drive because of their stuff up

Weight is everything guys so make sure whoever is driving has the appropriate license weight class. and have a great date night .
Its still a car license needs to be over 4500 before you needs a LR

Hey Luke and Alex, hope you don’t mind me asking but how do you guys afford all this stuff. Considering the new baby, the big lap, the the new vehicles etc, don’t tell anything your not comfortable telling but how do you do it as I would love to do the big lap one day

It’s a air bnb apartment 😊 it was in south Brisbane called 270 river view
If you bought this car and drove it away from the dealer you would have paid the stamp duty then. So it's no different, you just paid it later on. Also the company dealing with the gvm should have done it all for you, that's shithouse that they made you guys deal with registering it all.
yes but you still have to pay it?
@NXT STOP - Falzon Family yes, any new car still has the stamp duty cost when it gets registered. Dealers usually call them "on road costs"
