Nice Farmers Market. I go to them when I can get the chance and I usually bring my Golden Retrievers along with me. The ones I go to are just for the things that's in season. Right, there is no need for companies to make such huge profits. keep things manageable for the average person. The sheer amount of products that are made in Russia and only sold domestically is amazing to see both in these kinds of markets or even supermarkets. Russell.
Those fruit, veg, cheese, meats, and nuts are super cheap compared to the US. And, the quality looks much better. So,are Farmer's Markets in Russia a better economy than shopping at large commercial supermarkets? In the USA,it's the opposite.Buying locally grown or organic products is more expensive than buying corporate.
Lokal food is cheaper, and also farmers products are better. Sometimes if it is very small farm, and they have not a lot goods, the price could be higher. Strawberry in Moscow in season is really cheap, we have a «Sovhoz imeni Lenina» (state farm named after Lenin) near Moscow (and it is not far from my home), and they grow strawberry, soooo tasty and sweet…

@@TravellingwithRussell that is “watchman syndrome”, people who have little power begin to consider themselves in the right to dictate laws, although it is most likely possible to make video in the market freely.
@She Billings How didn't you get taken to a local food or farmers market? If you ever make it back to Russia, for sure it needs to be on your list. Russell.
Great to see that markets are well stocked and ordinary people are not affected much by the sanctions. So, there is still potential for increased sanctions without hurting the wrong ones.
The markets you see here are all but not affected, slightly higher prices. But with markets like this fruits and Veg will always have seasonal pricing. Russell.
For sure. This place in the video was very large, we have a small more local once up the road from where i am living here. So many nice things to buy there, much better than a supermarkets as well. Russell.
Thanks Russell for very nice and informative vlogs you have produced - let's just hope this is not the last one you can send to us... But sanctions will definitely hit also for these market prices - all the farmers are using tractors and other machinery, so just to do the field works, it will be very difficult without spare parts. Also the transport of all these goods will be more expensive, due to the fact that all the cars are already 30% more expensive by now.
@@RealMoscowProject I know I know, we have here Belorus-tractors, too. But as a ex-farmers's son, I think I also know what a modern farming - and modern harvest machine - needs. If just after a month of sanctions Lada Niva is the only model those guys can still put together in Toljat - the product of all other models has been suspended due to the lack of components. This lack of spare parts includes the Autovaz factory in Moscow, too...

Do you notice anything different making English language videos in Moscow now then you did a few months ago?
Not really, of course you always get people looking around, because its not Russian they are hearing. these security guys are always like this in older places like this. I can actually film there, but they seem to think differently. In and around Moscow and Moscow region where i live i don't see a difference from when i made videos months and months ago. Russell.
Orange ? Where it from?..
Most of the ones you saw in the video were from Egypt. Russell.
Hi Russell, tell the audience honestly, did you have any problems with the police or harassment in Russia?🍺🍺🍺☺️
non what so ever. today it was just the local guard at the gate of this market. it was only right at the end, luckily i had filmed everything baring a few more minutes i could have added in. they really just tell me that filming is not allowed, and i stopped. yesterday at the electronics market, no worries at all the entire time i was there. I am planning to make a video answering few of these types of questions in a later video. Russell.
@@TravellingwithRussell 👍☺️
@@TravellingwithRussell that is “watchman syndrome”, people who have little power begin to consider themselves in the right to dictate laws, although it is most likely possible to make video in the market freely.
So Russians are not starving!
Lot's of choices and variety. I am just waiting for summer to arrive for my beloved strawberries to come down in a price a little. Russell.
@@TravellingwithRussell I was in St Petersburg in May a few years back and it had a heatwave. Never got to see any markets sadly
@She Billings How didn't you get taken to a local food or farmers market? If you ever make it back to Russia, for sure it needs to be on your list. Russell.
@@TravellingwithRussell I doubt I will return sadly. But who knows...
Well, if only without jamon and burger🤗☺️
There’s more food there than American food shelves🤣 which is 😢. Thank some current president for that 😠
He worries way too much about places other than where he lives.
@@TravellingwithRussell agreed
Great to see that markets are well stocked and ordinary people are not affected much by the sanctions. So, there is still potential for increased sanctions without hurting the wrong ones.
The markets you see here are all but not affected, slightly higher prices. But with markets like this fruits and Veg will always have seasonal pricing. Russell.
REMEMBER THAT SALARY IN RUSSIA IS 3,5 TIMES LESS THAN IN ITALY, SO PRICES ARE VERY EXPENSIVE.
I completely agree with you. Prices of things her are all relevant to salaries. Russell.
*THIS IS L8KE A USA FLEA MARKET...*
For sure. This place in the video was very large, we have a small more local once up the road from where i am living here. So many nice things to buy there, much better than a supermarkets as well. Russell.
Normal Russians are good with me👍
Thanks.
In Ukraine it’s the same.
these markets will continue to operate no matter the conditions.
We have a lot of our own russian technics. And also Belorussian.
@@RealMoscowProject you can have all the technicians in the world, without foreign parts you can't repair.
@@maximusasauluk7359 You are very stupid))) All equipment is made from Russian and Belarusian parts.
@@maximusasauluk7359 we do not need foreign parts to repair the tech that is made in Russia from Russian metal and on Russian plants.
This lack of spare parts includes the Autovaz factory in Moscow, too...
не показывайте этого дядьку киевлянам, обзавидуются.
Мне очень нравится этот рынок, временами он может быть немного загружен, но все равно очень интересно прогуляться. Рассел. У меня есть гораздо меньшая версия этого места недалеко от моего дома.
That's not a lot of people. Why is this guy trying to cheer on the enemy?
If reality is hurting you -- watch CNN. ))
@Eric "last I heard 1 USD was 120 rubles..."
Last I heard pigs can fly!
Could you do another video to update which Western companies are still trading in Russia please. We’re a group who have found your videos very useful. We are lobbying and companies we can influence to pull out of Russia. In one of your videos it was shown that L’Occitane were still trading but now after 25,000 calls for a boycott of the brand worldwide they have closed. M&S you show as still trading but they have promised that their supply chain has been cut off, what are the stocks like in store? Do we need to apply more pressure? Auchan want to remain but have now vowed not to make any profit and so not pay tax, how are the stocks of imported goods in Auchan? Who else show we be targeting? Thanks for your help Russell.
I was at a mall today filming an update. Showing how it looked and feels right now. As for L'Occitane, they were still trading ands open, as was Marks and Spencer's. Also LEGO was open as well. The video will be ready in a few days hopefully. I like to spread out the uploads so i don't put out too many at the same time. Russell.
@simon Chapman I have just uploaded my newest video showing Europe's Largest Mall (which is in Moscow) during Sanctions. czcams.com/video/_AF_ElHxaTc/video.html
