I don't know how many people in the US would have seen Iwan Rheon pre Game of Thrones or Robert Sheehan before The Umbrella Academy amongst others but both are on great display in this series
I've watched and loved your reactions for a long time and i was beyond excited to see you react to this. I can't tell you how much this show meant to me and a lot of teenagers growing up in Britain at this time, it was our generations version of The Young Ones I think. I was 14 when this first aired and growing up during a time where a lot of the media was hyper focused on the 'youth' being nothing but anti-social no good 'hoodies' this show was like no, you've misunderstood them. This is what teenagers have always been and are supposed to be. Rebellious, counter culture and different. If you don't understand you're the problem not them.
They made a comic to promote the first episode was given one by the creator of misfits , Howard Overman for my 21st artworks amazing!
This show has had such a hold on me. I used to rewatch my DVD boxset religiously 😅 looking forward to watching more eps with you!

I liked this show, reminded me of Misfits Of Science from the 1980s but without the supes being government agents, maybe had a bit of Heroes inspiration too but I didn't really follow that show after the first season. This show was grittier and had some great special effects as well as some well written humour, Joe Gilgun as Rudy was my favourite character, he was also perfectly cast as Cassidy the Vampire in 2016-2019's Preacher.

Keep in mind, even though the superhero genre is kinda overdone by now, this came out when it wasn't.
Only Heros was iut by that point.
So it was very fresh and unique for its time.
