#MarioAndLuigi Superstar Saga was the start of brand new series by #AlphaDream continuing what Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario were doing, while having its own identity. Before this, I had only played through half of Bowser's Inside Story and was loving it. Going to the 3DS remake + Bowser's Minions, I can totally see why the series is so beloved. I had an absolute blast playing through it and can't wait to see how the rest pan out!

For the Luigi Princess thing, its a callback to a 1993 comic where Mario got captured and Luigi snuck in while wearing a mask to save him, while Peach was knocked out. I cant remember what its called but it's really funny

Bowser's Minions reminds me of those "See the events from the side characters' perspective" plots in cartoon shows/movie franchises. Like, the ones that nobody really ask for, but they make them anyway and they end up being really hit-or-miss as a result because you're either going to love that your favorite side character gets more screen time or hate the way it's written because the character wasn't really made to get a starring role.
Just something I noticed from the way they were edited together in this video.
its a neat idea, and the Inside Story remake does a little more with it, but yeah the gameplay is very lacking and they should've just made it a turn based rpg instead of a crappy minigame based on luck
at least the writing is still consistent and they try and give the minions fun personalities.

You could have it be the same style it is currently, _but_ with the difference that you can actually _control_ your army and command them to attack enemy forces instead of it being done automatically. You'd use the stylus to "draw a line" between who should attack and who they're attacking, which can lead to many different strategies and it'd make the Effectiveness Triangle more important to remember, since it could lead to better approaches for different enemies. Everything else would be the same. The Captain Actions, the Special Skills, the way you set up your team for the next mission. It'd all still need to play a part, because it would no longer be based on luck, but rather skill. That's what I feel was the missing piece of the puzzle. When it's all based on luck, the puzzle just falls apart. All of the other aspects are in place, and Minion Quest could be a great side game, the _only_ thing that would need to be changed (at least to start) would be what I just brought up.

That and while Superstar Saga (GBA) is an amazing example of how the GBA can hold a special place in many’s hearts at best, the only thing about it that rubs me the wrong way is Princess Peach. Not only because she pronounces “fungi” like someone from The Last Airbender (2010), but also because it would be awesome if she weren’t a damsel in distress (not to mention she got kidnapped several times in Teehee Valley which does have an amazing soundtrack and graphics, which makes the scene a lot more enjoyable besides the Mario Bros. being both witty and super-skilled and cutely designed enemies)
