This genre of metal (with Bands like Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, Malmsteen, Helloween) uses to have powerful and melodical vocals, which also you can hear from a lot of pop artists (Like Celine Dion, to put an example). Thats why some people calls it "pop metal", but who cares?
Gotta admit, this is probably the best I've ever seen them play live. Maybe their newer guitars are just that much better at staying in tune or they're not buzzed, but either way, their act is definitely improving.

I usually find live versions to sound like they're lower quality. Probably because to need to filter out things like the fans making too much noise, the volume from the speakers, and various feedback. Really, Only live RECORDING I can't think of off the top of my head that sounded better then the studio is Hendrix at Woodstock. But I'm sure they'll figure something out when they release the DVD, they do have high quality sounding albums.

Metal comes from the blues (like most of American music). Fusion is the only genre to come from jazz. Obviously there are metal guys out there who incorporate jazz but the genre itself comes form blues and rock. And let's be nice, especially if you don't know what you're talking about.

Just think, why would Dragonforce put this news on youtube before their website? I hope Dragonforce release a live DVD soon, but these videos are not real.

I think it needs to be sharper, to be honest. For example, in the bridge of this song it sound a lot more deeper than in the album. But it's amazing.
