Would love to see Olympic qualification become based on individual performance instead of nations having to pick a limited number of people.
Individuals are willing to join the competitions organized by schools/cities/countries, if they are really good enough, mostly. The pick mechanism is more efficiency. But we have to acknowledge that some top athletes maybe never show up in Olympic due to they are no.2 in the world but not no.1 in their countries.
