I watched the video, followed the instructions, and had no problems. It's physically a bit of a chore but if you take your time it will work. I had installed a couple of toilets before, so that helps.
If you buy this toilet make sure to replace the champion flush valve with a normal one so it uses more water and has a good strong flush
just installed one today. Replaced an older Cadet model. Went in no problem. No leaks and flushes really well. Fills pretty quick too.
Very happy. Will use this again if needed. Having everything in the box was a huge plus. Im not a plumber but was real happy not calling one.
Hi There - We are so glad to hear that you are happy with your Champion Toilet, and that the installation process went smoothly! Thanks!
@@americanstandardis the ADA compliant? How high it?
My God, the music. I’ve never been so relaxed in my life 😆
I just installed three of those toilets and I was wondering if you could tell me why the front part of the toilet does not touch the ground.
Okie dokie. My boys and I just installed this toilet. I think it turned out okay. Don't see any leaks. The lid is a slow closer. No more slamming toilets lids now. This toilet is a all in kit. I would give it a full flush rating.
Music to our ears, Graham! Enjoy your Champion!
Easy to install, czcams.com/users/postUgkxjA-hDN2m8_mi0Dg0JD8U6QiArozIAc4I and comfortable. No idea what other people were talking about when they said it was difficult to install or uncomfortable.
This toilet uses special rubber nuts (shown at bottom of frame 0:08) that are tricky to install. This video shows convention nylon nuts being installed. Do you have a link to a video that shows the installation of the nuts/bolts that came with the toilet?
0:56 looks like you did some magic trick right there! Me and my son couldn't stop laughing while installing the toilet tank lol 😂😂
LOL! Definitely some fancy finger-work going on there ;)
Please tell me the right way. I don’t understand how he was able to tighten bolts from the inside. I have to replace the flush valve today, and it’s quite similar to installing everything but the base.
I put the toilet tank on, but it wobbles a little. Is that normal? I’m afraid to tighten it too tight and crack the porcelain. All the washers are lined up, and nothing is cracked.
I just installed mine, it flushes really weak and not all the way, any idea why? Thank you.
Hi Aston - Hmm, that doesn't sound right. Please give us a call at 800-442-1902 so we can get some details and help troubleshoot. Thanks!
No adjustments after installation? That's why I'm on CZcams right now, because American Standard doesn't seem to care about the customer after their toilet is installed
Hi Jason - We apologize for the inconvenience you're experiencing! Please give our team a call at 800-442-1902 so we can get some more details and help address your issue. Thanks!
Brand new tank bolts are leaking
Hi John - We apologize for the inconvenience, and appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback with us. Please give us a call at 800-442-1902 so we can get some more details about your experience and make things right. Thanks!
Now to wait a few years before it cracks :/
First off if you install it by this video you will for sure have leaks. The toilet flange is incorrect it's suppose to sit ontop of the finished floor not below or flush, you would think they would have at least did the video with correct flange location, second your better off putting the wax ring down over flange because it wants to come off if you try to put it on toilet . Third when you put on the flange to toilet bolts you need to measure from wall over to each flange to get the same distance otherwise your toilet will be crooked. Also your better off removing the junky tank bolts and installing new tank bolts and good thick rubber washers on inside tank and bottom of tank this will give you 100% leak free tank. Also you can buy a flapper style flush valve to upgrade the junky canister style that comes with the toilet, the canister style will give you Nothing but issues due to the round silicone seal Constantly going bad and ghost flushing in middle of night or throughout the day, Believe me I know I am a licensed plumber and have experienced all the down falls of this toilet and many other toilet brands i installed over a 1,000 of this model and had many call backs because of the canister style flush valve after many call backs I did some research on a company that makes and upgraded flapper style flush valve that fits this style toilet, the upgraded flapper style is worry free and gives you a better / stronger flush because it will empty all the water in the tank . It's a shame you have to spend more money to make this toilet operate properly, and you would think American standard would do away with these canister style flush valves due to all the issues with ghost flushing and the seal going bad all the time but the truth is they just don't care. Another hint and trick is when you install the tank on the toilet tight the bolts alittle on each side so it is even when they get snug on both sides then push down on top of tank white tightening each bolt nut , you want the tank bottom porcelain to touch the toilet bowl this will insure no leaks when you flush toilet. Be carefull not to keep tightening after you make contact or you will break the tank .
You don’t understand how much I appreciate you thanks man I will definitely fix that
Can you or anyone else reading provide the name/model of a better alternative flapper/flush valve and better bolts/washers kit? I’m going to be installing one of these soon.

I am 0 for 2 with this toilet as well. They leak from at least one side (first toilet leaked on the left, second toilet leaked on the right) where we attach the tank to the bowl. My brother is a licensed plumber and a plumbing inspector. Poor design. Textbook engineer designed with absolutely no filed experience. School can be a waste of money. No pun intended.
We're sorry to hear this, Craig. Please give us a call at 800-442-1902 so we can get some more details and further assist.
