From a dark - skinned, Black, Londoner female - I smiled from ear to ear throughout this interview. We are SO PROUD of your growth, John. Our ancestors are proud of you, too. Excellent interview Breakfast Club! You're GLOBAL!
As British Nigerian super proud of his achievements and how he conducts himself. 👍
It feels good.
From a black British londoner female I did the EXACT same thing 😃
As a Black American women I was 😊...great to see a young man still got love for us...he seems to be a good guy!
@@robinlynn5686 Lots of young black men love sisters.....its just you ignore and dismiss most of them until they become rich and successful then you demand loyalty.
So proud to have John represent South London, everyone here loves him and what he does for the black community regardless of the repercussions he may face.
What does he do?
Great actor but he does nothing for my community
He doesn’t represent me
The irony is, he represents the slave trading king the British forced to stop slaving!
@@josm1481 I'm blck and live in the UK, a lot of blck people here don't support the royal family, and are pro banishing the monarchy!
This is a man that loves black women. Everytime I see John Boyega I smile. He has consistently spoken highly of black women. He's also a really good actor.
I speak highly of black women also, but i'm not rich and famous , just saying, you and every black woman is valued and appreciated

He also said you “gotta have discipline to date a black woman” so it’s clear what he thinks of them. Also that movie “Woman King” does nothing but masculinize black women 🤦🏾♀️
@@Sara-zr6wb I mean…how do you start feminizing war and fighting?…the concept of feminine that you are referring to is a western perspective…being feminine varies from culture to culture.

Exactly!! This whole interview was amazing , but that about black women!! I’m still smiling 😊

Yes, girl. Something about a man who can really see and honor a black woman's beauty and worth. One that actually knows us and prefers us. That just takes a certain kind of dude. It's a shame that it's so rare.

He is unfortunately too real and too raw to be voted in by an institution as white as the oscars.

I ask my ancestors to fight this battle on my behalf! I want to be alive to see the day this unity, between those on the continent and diaspora, is projected in bright lights!

Lol, tell that to Rwandans massacred by other blacks and the thousands of slaves in Africa TODAY tortured by black masters.... or take the easier option and pretend white people are the reason you're a failure.
Agreed
"This movie is not slave porn."... that's a deep message. I never compared Hollywood's fascination with slavery to the eroticism/fantasy and enjoyment of seeing us in constant pain.
This is such a good point
Ong bro fr💯glad I’m not the only one who peeped that

I'm not supporting this movie. The Dahomey were the MOST savage slave traders. They did *mass slaughtering rituals* of the slaves they caught. They are the worst that African nations had to offer. The reason why MANY us are in the Americas, Europe and the Caribbean is because of the Dahomey. When Britain wanted to stop the slave trade the Dahomey said no we will not stop SMH. This is the movie Hollyweird wants us as Black people to be proud of SMH. Notice Hollyweird did not give us a movie about how the West African Moors conquered Spain and ruled it for over 700 years and how those Moors taught whites civilization... Notice that Hollyweird did not give you a movie about the Nubian Kush Queen that made Caesar stand down... Notice that Hollyweird did not give us a movie about the black nations that *actually fought against* the European slave trade... Notice that Hollyweird did not give you a movie about Black Egypt. Nope, those white producers gave you a movie about Africans killing and enslaving other Africans... We all know who runs Hollyweird. Imagine European Jews giving you a movie where they want to to be proud of a clan of European Jews selling themselves into Nazi camps.. You'll NEVER see that movie and we all know why. Let's not even talk about the level of misandry against Black men in this movie SMH. Check this great breakdown of the movie... czcams.com/video/hRdq9Bs7miQ/video.html

Always feel such as sense of pride seeing John- a young Nigerian black Brit from Peckham- doing bits and remaining authentic! Well done John!!! You continue to inspire so many!!
His intellect and level of maturity. Such a beautiful representation. He sets the bar in authenticity and self awareness. When he said "...it's a reciprocal energy." So nuanced. So many layers and honesty. Confidence without arrogance. Hope to see him in more projects. Phew. So young, wise and honest.

John Boyega is a treasure. Loved him in The Woman King. His accent was REALLY good. Completely blew me away with his performance. He's actually good. And he seems to be a really cool dude
Cecilia I do not want tell the story for those who haven’t seen the movie yet I have to share this with you . Hearing Boyega tell the guy in purple to move aside “my friend “ made me laugh. It reminded me of my Nollywood movies . Also seeing Jimmy Odukoya really made me smile .

John Boyega is the definition of a BLACK KING - a title that the majority of BM in media do not hold. He clearly loves his ppl and esp. black women. And he's not afraid to speak his mind in support of black ppl. I hope the industry doesn't corrupt him and turn him into another buck-dancing sellout. Hats off to his parents. They raised him right.

The Woman King addressed many things. It didn't shy away from the assistance the Dahomey's part in the enslavement of Africans. It is a multi faceted movie, Def worth seeing. As a Black American I wanted to support Viola Davis and her husbands production company. Glad I saw it!!

A black man after my own heart. It's more than just physicality and skin tone. A black woman understands the fabric of my being. The little nuances, the vibe, from the seasoning of my food to the nurturing of my child.
@Far7rom he meant a Black woman though.
@Far7rom A BLACK WOMAN. Hooped earrings, a bean necklace, darkskin, brown eyes, big full watermelon glossed lips, an afro, big butt, with an Island accent. A BLACK WOMAN, I said what I said.
@Far7rom a black woman encompasses all this
@Far7rom Mujin was specifically talking about himself….thus he was speaking about who HE believes understands the fabric of MUJIN’s being. His answer is a Black woman.
How is this that hard to comprehend?
@Far7rom and yet what he said he wanted was a Black woman.
Not sure why you’re so pressed. You sound mad weird though to be trying to tell another man what he REALLY meant, when he literally spelled it out for you.

My man Boyega said he didn't do well in school but he's incredibly smart. Smart, strong, charismatic, knowing, clear and firm. He knows who he is and more importantly, he knows who everybody else is.
