    This made my PSVR2 so much more comfortable. I can’t go back.

      Yeah I agree, after using this I think I'd struggle to use the original stock pads again.

    Fantastic review man, love these product videos. Do you think we’ll get more headset comfort modifications like this?

    • @GWTGamesWithTea
      @GWTGamesWithTea  Před 3 měsíci +2

      I think there are certainly other places that could make similar products, but I do feel to make them the best they can be the stock strap needs to be removed. As I mentioned I've tried the cover kit and although it was an improvement it wasn't enough.
      Glad you're enjoying the product reviews got some more coming.

    Thanks for the review! I'm with your partner. Of course technically PSVR2 is loads better than PSVR1, but I was very disappointed in the drop in comfort. No padding for the nose and I regularly get a headache if it's just a tiny bit off center. Also, the rubber balls of playstation move controllers were good padding, I don't get why Quest 2 and PSVR2 controllers are so hard, it's pretty painful when you accidentally bash them together with your fingers in between (in games where you cross them like Synth Riders). There's not even any padding rings for PSVR2 controllers, I'm currently using the quest 2 ones on them. Also it's a big joke the controllers aren't sold seperately, I'd love a second pair for when the other one runs out of juice.

      Exactly, I need spare controllers haha I use this device every day. This mod definitely improves the comfort. How are you finding the games on the PSVR2? What's your favourite one so far?

  • @oldmanzen6682

    Gonna look into this. I don't find the PSVR2 that uncomfortable, however there are sessions where I definitely feel that band across my brow. And I'd love something to may it more comfortable to lay in a bed with (to watch movies at night while laying down).
    Thanks for the review.

      Yeah, I never found the original stock straps uncomfortable but recently they started causing irritation. Really liking this mod strap.

    Great review.
    When i first got PSVR2 i was SO sad that i felt it wasnt comfortable. After looking forward to PSVR2 for so long then it felt horrible on my head i was absolutely gutted.. BUT...
    After about a week i realised i had been wearing it wrong, and once it clicked, yea now its the most comfy headset ive ever used and can wear it for hours without even realising its on. I think maybe your partner is wearing it slightly wrong too.
    Obvs its supposed to sort of balance off that top lip, not press into the forehead like other HMDs. Which is why the tiny foam padding inside the original front padding shouldnt matter.
    Im convinced most people with comfort issues are down to wearing it wrong, and thats not a diss cos its got a very particular best-use positioning.
    But given that its supposed to balance off that top front lip, with the back halo angled down to your occiptal ridge, then i cant see how a top strap would help cos no weight would go there, if u wear it correctly.
    Having said that, good for people to have options.
    Does the new padding inhibit the headset rumble?

    • @GWTGamesWithTea
      @GWTGamesWithTea  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Doesn't affect the rumble can still feel it very well.
      I see what you're saying but many factors play into the wearing of the headset and yes many you stated are correct. For the top strap on this mod it assists with anyone who feels pressure on their head as many people can get pressure headaches, I use to know someone who couldn't use over-ear headphones for a similar reason.
      With the stock straps yes padding doesn't come into play a lot, but I also think it would of benefitted from some. It's also worth noting that the more you play the more the headset can become loose or move, especially if you have longer hair. That's where the back pad on this assists as it also adds some weight to help make the headset more well balanced.
      As mentioned my partner issue with the headset was more with irritation from the existing material and it's known that some people can find it to cause irritation when heat is involved.
      I've never had any issues with the stock strap on the headset, but after using this it's a definite improvement. No adjusting when first putting the headset on, just instantly in a great position.
      Appreciate your comment and you checking out the reviews.

      Sweet spot issues because the back pad slides off the back of my head. I'm hoping this will fix it.

    • @GWTGamesWithTea
      @GWTGamesWithTea  Před 3 měsíci

      @@Labarynthtube the foam strap in the middle helps it stay in place once adjusted. I've also noticed no slipping from the back pad on the Globular Cluster CMP2. Hopefully, it fixes your issues.

    I appreciate this review! I'm looking for some comfort mode. I need it - and I like the product you have just reviewed, but I'm a little worried about removing original padding...

    • @GWTGamesWithTea
      @GWTGamesWithTea  Před 3 měsíci +2

      That's understandable, it's a little worrying but as long as you're patient with the process and don't pull anything off with force, then you should be fine. I was really gentle during the process and didn't have any issues.

      I used to be worried about things like this but really anybody could do it. Like he said, as long as you're not trying to damage it you're not going to damage it, it can handle a bit of force. I've now taken apart many controllers/consoles and it's a great skill to have, it's saved me lots of money. Looking forward to trying this mod!

    My big thing with the psvr2 is that sometimes it's lenses press into the bridge of my nose and the front pad irritates my forehead, especially in games with a lot of looking up like horizon call of the mountain.

    • @GWTGamesWithTea
      @GWTGamesWithTea  Před měsícem

      Is it slipping down slightly when you're moving your head? I have heard people mention the lenses pressing on their nose.

    I’ve already have this now, but having those cooling parts you don’t sweat anymore?

      I mean sure I still sweat especially during the hot days, but I find the cooling of it a lot comfier and nicer. I do however, use a fan. Overall the Globular Cluster is just great for finding that comfort spot and extra comfort overall.

    Great review. Don't think this would help me. The back of the psvr2 just feels like it slowly creeps up the back of my head. I honestly think it's the fact the face doesn't have a padded interface taking away some of the wiggle. I get no pressure it just never feels secure enough and its annoying to me. The rachet adjustment also feels like its gonna break.

    • @GWTGamesWithTea
      @GWTGamesWithTea  Před 3 měsíci

      The back pad on this can be adjusted to help assist, but I'd say try getting a strap for the top of the headset. I mention one during the review. This should help keep it in one position. I've found since using this strap (comfort mod) that it doesn't move, it remains in the same position the whole time I'm playing.
      Really appreciate you checking the review out and leaving a comment.

      The back will help alot that is why I purchased cmp2 oem. I was constantly sliding the back pad down to fix the sweet spot. The globe shaped back pad will prevent exactly what you described.
