    My sister just purchased a 2014 model sedan and I need to replace the struts. Thank you for the demo, it's going to be a big help when I do them. I appreciate that you gave the socket sizes so I know that I already have the correct tools on hand. Thanks again, Cheers.

    When measuring ride height your suppose to measure from the middle of the wheel to the top of the fender. Other than that this was a great video! i ordered the zzp lowering kit that comes with these performance struts. I am looking forward to it

    I thought it was going to be a complete procedure. Where are the torque specs for all of the fasteners?

    How thick are your wheel spacers? What did you use to cut the stock studs down so the wheels would fit over them?

    • @streetriderscustoms
      @streetriderscustoms  Před 2 lety +1

      The spacers are 1". Did not need to do anything to the stock studs to use them

    Would you say the 24mm pass through socket is a must have ? Or can it be done with out it ?

    • @streetriderscustoms
      @streetriderscustoms  Před rokem +1

      You can do it without it but it's harder to hold it and get the nut tight enough without the proper tools

      Ordered a craftsman online. I also believe Kobalt has one that size but you wont find it at the stores.

    Should you be re-using the TTY strut nut?

    • @streetriderscustoms

      That would be personal preference, if you feel the need to buy a new bolt then you should.

    There are 2 types of lowering kits for the sonic with one being more expensive, do you know the difference?

    • @streetriderscustoms
      @streetriderscustoms  Před 3 lety

      As far as I know, and I could be wrong, is that one gives more of a drop than the other. Which would then have different struts and springs so maybe that's why it is more expensive.

    • @streetriderscustoms

      no, it will actually lower it about half an inch. In our case it was almost the same height

      Because we installed the GM Performances Parts struts and they do not come as an assembly
