- We are so busy getting ready to go to Europe - today we were going through all of our stuff and getting rid of the extras. It's amazing to me that when you have 11 people in less than 400 sq ft you could still have junk but we do! Also, it was finally time to dive in and start potty training Jude. When we were on the road it was so hard with our hectic schedule but now that we're staying put for a bit it's perfect timing!

Jude....what a darling little boy. From watching you guys I absolutely fell in love with the kids... especially Jude and Eve.
we do the 3-2-1 rules when we travel. 3 short sleeve, 2 long sleeve, 1 sweatshirt. 3 pants, 2 shorts/skirts, 1 swim. Or chuck it all and go buy new when you get there. I hate looking like a tourist.

We were even more Spartan than you. Each of us had one outfit on, one in the wash, jammies, and church clothes plus tennis shoes (on the feet) and Sunday shoes. That's it. This fits in a small duffle along with a sleeping bag.
I love it when I listen to the kids who are talking in the background and they say some funny stuff hahaha!! "it looks like he's going swimming"

My brother wasn't potty trained until 4 and he turned out just fine. Everybody's just different. I'm sure Jude will do great!
After traveling in your RV and cars for your U.S. adventure, it would be interesting to have another tour and let us know what you ended up loving about the RV and what you hated about the RV. Eh?

I have watched your vlogs off and on, but lateley i have become obsessed. Started at the very beginning... loved that you desided to live in a rv. We are only 2 but we have a small tiny trailer, that sometimes our grandchildren travel with us... Jude remindes me so much of my little grandson. Probably because he also is Asia. His mom is from Vietnam. But there is something about how he smiles or laugh, or the sak he act... it is so cute. Love your New intro. It is so lovely. Cute start with Jude...

I would recommend soft backpacks instead of hard-shell suitcases. They're just so much more practical, especially wherever there are stairs. I would also recommend coming to the UK before brexit, as it will be easier, also I really want to meet you guys.

+Rachael Marks - that's a sad one, isn't it? I think people are complicated and he was the first to say that he struggled with addiction. I think he still had some things to work out and let it get away from his which led to a tragic outcome. I believe in redemption though and while I have no idea of the particulars of his situation, I hope that everyone in his family can find happiness and healing! So so sad!
I agree! I have addiction in my family and I know how detrimental it can be. I think taking time out of the spotlight will be good for them. Super sad, I pray and think of his family every day! On a positive not thank you for sharing your beautiful family with the world! Your stories are so inspiring, I'm happy I found you guys by mistake!
I agree..I’ve never met Mormon who wasn’t an exceptional person...we could all prob learn some things from them..just practical things on how to live your life...and how to put family first

My husband and I are not much for clothes, I guess if we had loads of money clothes may be of more importance, but for now our closet it used mainly for storage! My husband works at a mill where he makes paper so half of his wardrobe is carhartt double knee jeans and orange safety shirts and the other half is a couple pairs of jeans a couple shorts and a handful of t-shirts! I am a stay at home mom so my sweats/leggings are an acceptable form of uniform while home, I have a pair of jeans and a pair of work pants a handful of shirts and a couple nicer outfits I wear to church (you know the ones that don't have peanut butter on the side or snot on the sleeve!) we are pretty minimalist when it comes to clothes!
I have way more clothes than I need..I just love pretty clothes..but 1/2 my clothes just hang there because we don’t do that much as we’ve gotten older..but if we ever do anything..I’m def prepared..lol

It is too expensive to pack everything in suitcases for the plane trip. Pack most in your van to be shipped or plan on buying new there, it really is cheaper.

We really don't have a lot of clothes, but I still feel the kids wear just part of them.

I have 5 sons (no daughters) and we do capsule wardrobes! Mine is just 34 mix and match pieces, but for the boys I do: 4 tshirts, 2 short sleeve polos, 2 long sleeve button downs, 2 pairs of jeans and 4 pairs of shorts, plus 3 sets of pj's. We live in Alabama, hence all of the shorts and shorts sleeves lol
I would do roll carry on carry on luggage. It is easy to open it up and lay it on the floor and see everything. They stack flat. They have wheels! Duffles are like a messy purse all the time!!

Always fun and a circus going through the kids clothes! So fun that Eve is such a girly girl! And Jude is adorable in his new undies. Kids do better when they are good and ready to potty train, like Jude is now. Apparently it's better for them. The blue green t-shirts - let's face it, all the boys look fabulous in those colors :). Good luck with the paring down. Oh, a little tip:
We always packed extra undies. Enough for 6-7 days, and kept a couple of those in the carry on. Not fun losing the suitcases. Clean undies make everything more tolerable. ...... and sometimes it's hard to get some washing done.
My granddaughter Eevee is 4 years 5 months and we're still working on potty training. She's been a bit behind in everything. She's been watching your videos so I'm hoping seeing another child her age is potty training will help her.

I'm such a hoarder I even take that habit with me when I go travelling, my suitcases are always packed to the brim with clothes I don't even wear half the time but I still think I might need that certain outfit or those certain shoes so I take it all.

Maybe you've already done this, but there's an awesome Daniel Tiger episode with a cute little song about going potty. Daniel Tiger songs are so cute and helful for that age. My youngest loved to sing the little song when he went on the big boy potty :) good luck Jude, you can do it!
