YULEBA CEMETERY - Final resting place of Alf Jensen, a Cobb & Co coach driver

In this weeks video we walk around a small cemetery in the town of Yuleba Qld. We were on the search for Alf Jensen who was a coach driver for Cobb & Co along its most famous route, running from Yuleba through Surat and on to St George. With a total of 203 km, there were changing stations situated approx every 25km.
The Changing Stations allowed the horses to be swapped for fresh horses to continue the coach journey. Morning/Afternoon tea or lunch was provided by the station owners wife.
Alf died of pneumonia as a result of driving during a long wet spell, he left a young widow and family.

Wow some amazing history there. Crunchy ground beneath your feet. Spelling of town names does change often over time, i was amazed when i found out the true spelling of Ballaarat. yep thats it lol. Great Video thank you for sharing this. was interesting.
