Gotta agree tho, say what you will about the tokra/goauld but they didnt just slap a snake logo on a puddle jumper and call it theirs, they actually reverse engineered that shit and made shit from the knowledge learned. The 301 is just asking for trouble
I wish we had more moments like this, with other Tok’ra, without the writers treating them like dirt. The only time I can think of is Lantash calling them out on taking in Apophis. Then Martouf apologized for him, and Lantash mostly disappeared after that. So…yeah, treated like dirt.
@@PR--un4ub Very much so. They were such an interesting and different society. The writers could have done so much with them. What was their daily life like? What did they do for fun? How did it feel that Earth swooped in and accomplished what they had been striving for?
I both agree and disagree. They should learn and understand the technology that they are using and developing because this shit can happen. Still, the reason why they have their own aircraft, ships, and tech is because they took huge risks.
@@willia3r yes, but I’m pretty sure there’s a level of boldness that disaster favors over fortune. Admittedly it’s a balance between being blown up by hostiles, or blown up by your own experiments.
He’s right though. As a comment above says, the Tok’Ra and Goa’uld didn’t just slap a snake symbol onto Ancient technology- they reverse engineered it and built their own versions. To do that, you have to understand the tech on a far higher level than just putting your flag on it and learning the controls. Perhaps the part about “earning the right” doesn’t mean much pragmatically- but it’s certainly true that humanity is infantile compared to the Tok’Ra and Goa’uld. You only have to compare ninety percent of the human characters in this too the Tok’Ra or Goa’uld ones. They really seem like children. Or compare pure human technology and knowledge to those of the other species in the show. It shows how much work as a species we need to do when realistic human characters look like children next to imagined members of other species.

@@BrowncoatGofAZ no advancements come without some level of risk.
Its all in the risk tolerance.
Condescending.
To a certain degree.
He is accurate, though.
