Great idea!! I know my hot Central Texas backyard fence gets COOKED by the sun most of the day so....I could see throwing up a few panels and getting plenty of extra power from them!

If it works it ain't stupid. Get the angle brackets, my buddy did this to the side of his shed with the angle brackets , It works great.

Very interesting. I’m starting to hear about the merits of NOT installing on the roof. Not only because it may compromise the waterproofing on the roof, but solar panels perform better at a moderate temperature and putting them on the roof is super hot in Texas. Plus, solar panels need to be clean to perform, and keeping them at the fence means you can brush them off easily. Just be sure that they can’t blow off in strong winds!

Taking advantage of the opportunity to get it going. I don’t think I can use my neighbors fence, but!

👍Good use of available space. I've hung (bungee cords) my portable panels on the rear porch railings to catch the morning sun to recharge my EF unit(s) after a weekend camping excursion.

Why not just lay against the fence at an angle without the mounts? are you in a high wind area?

How do you use the LiTime mppt to charger your Bluetti ? How do you start the charge controller without an external battery ? I have the same controller and I need a battery connected first for it to start although for my Anker Solix F3800 I see people are using MPPT to be able to surpass the 60V limit PV by using the panels to start the controller then they use XT60 to the solar generator without an external battery.

I’m not using that LiTime with the Bluetti. The mppt is setup as a stand alone charger for my lifepo4 batteries.
