- NEW GAME PLUS AND 7 NEW BLADES ANNOUNCED IN PATCH 1.30 FOR NEXT WEEK! In this video, I go over and discuss the patch notes, revealing some of the biggest updates a game can get. It’s almost like we are getting a whole new game. At this point in time, I believe EVERYONE will be getting this update, regardless of expansion pass purchase or not. Release date is unknown, but it is stated to be occurring some time next week, likely the Friday. HYPED!!!!!!!!!!

News has just broken out my friends! Unfortunately, patch v1.3 has been delayed until Friday, March 2nd. While a delay is unfortunate, hopefully this means we'll get a more refined update! Still looking forward to playing the patch when it arrives! :)

Considering what happens in the story, I highly doubt such an event. Unless they add more to the story concerning Fan, after the event.
Auriansmule I don't think she'll come since she dies during the story, so it wouldn't make sense for her to come... Maybe a ghost blade? XD
Something that was clarified in the English Patch Notes (just released) that I didn't cover in this video, is that in New Game Plus you will be able to trade in the bonus experience gained from leveling down at inns for an item that can INCREASE THE NUMBER OF ACCESSORY SLOTS YOU HAVE! IT'S A GAME CHAAANGGEEEERRR!

A lot of people seem to be missing the best part about sending Pyra on merc missions. We don't have to use Rex to unequip legendary blades now. Also, obviously, Rex can unequip Pyra. And consequently can function as any class.

Im gonna make a list of the things that made me happy when I see it:
1. Core Crystal skipping - YES YES, JUST YES. Even though I already got all the rare blades, JUST YES.
2. The sending pyra dromach and poppy is nice too since some of their affinity charts is kinda troublesome.
3. Does new game+ include all of the items and materials you collected?

I have my doubts that you'd be able to send Poppi.
That would leave Tora without a Blade.

Joshua Sun they are all the same blade poppi poppiqt and poppi qtpi are just different versions of her like basically goku super saiyan goku etc. They could fix it by making tora be able to get other artificial blades

I'm definately doing New Game+ and 100%ing it instead of regular mode. This is a great update, can't wait.
So happy with these QoL updates they're bringing to the game. I just recently finished the last chapter and definitely wanted to do a second playthrough at some point, so this will be perfect with new game plus!
Just short clarification of the three team member thing. In the interview, Takahashi said the three programming members work with so much overtime that they collapsed and needed some rest. (indicating the time limit for publishing the game makes the UI not perfected)

Maybe if they weren't so stubborn and decided to delay the release for like 3-4 months, that wouldn't have happened, and we would've gotten a more polished game out of the box instead of relying on updates.
This is an amazing update! I had lofty expectations but Monolith came through times 10. New difficulty was number 1 on my fantasy NG + additions but we also got so many QoL upgrades and new blades with potential side content. This might be the best NG+ EVER!
I didn't finish getting the last 4 blades just because I wanted to wait and see what New Game + was about. If I got every single blade and couldn't keep them I would be pissed. Back to the grind

Hmm I must be like super lucky, I got Zenobia on Nia after I was trying to get Boreas/Ursula and then 10 minutes later I pulled Kosmos when I was trying to burn commons.
I guess praying for more healer blades on Nia really does manipulate the desire meter.
Just don't give up. That's what I did.

The torna members blades names are Obrona,Perdido and Cressidus
The thing that could be cool after getting these blades is the hope that they come packed with their own unique sidequests to make up for the wonkiness of having the main antagonists be on your roster of blades whilst the story pits you against these same characters while playing the Game+ version.

Question if the blades carry over do i have access to them before the driver they are bonded to appears in the story (almost all my rare blade are on Zeke trying to get kos-mos)

This update came at the perfect time for me. I finally got my last rare blade yesterday and S-ranked her. As far as I'm concerned, I've 100%'d the game, and I'd love to run through it again without having to deal with getting all of the rare blades again. Additional content and difficulty is just that much better!

I have Pyra/Mythra at S+, but trust grinding sucks. Buying a bunch of pouch items and spamming the A button for an hour per set of blades just isn't any fun. If there were a more accessible way to raise trust in battle or something like that, I'd be all over it

Do we have any info about what class the new blades are? I'm pretty sure that Malos' was a Tank, but I don't know about the others
Sever (Malos) and Cressidus (Mikhail) are Tanks. Obrona (Akhos) and Perdido (Patroka) are Attackers.
I’ve done all the side quests (about 6 pages worth) and I haven’t seen any of the side quest monsters I see you fighting here are they part of the dlc of did I miss some?

I wish a certain "someone" could be obtainable through cores or a side quest "cough ate his drivers heart "cough" but it would make sense why he isn't able to.
Midna78 Well, Mikhail is kind of a hybrid. He can summon a weapon, so he may have the ability to have a driver, just doesn't need one.
I agree, he was kind of who I was hoping for the most. Still, I get why he isn't and uh he has some stupidly OP arts when he is a temporary party member, could you imagine having that move set in the main party

Landon Dotson Not only OP, but badass as well. He was my favourite villain in this game, concerning his sad story, playstyle and personality. Had to run around on various other titans and fight while playing as him.
Jin could even have an awakened mode, like Pyra/Mythra XD
and his arts would make corecrystal- and item grinding super easy^^

If blade affinity charts carry over but sidequests reset, will dagas' lost kingdom become impossible since he loses that one field skill after the chart resets?

Not at all. This is the perfect choice for a big giant game. However, stay off of youtube for as long as you can while you play! Some spoilers are bigger than others out there.

When you say "everything", does that also include Poppi forms and all the rewards I've earned from Tiger Tiger? There's no way I'm doing all that grinding again. Also if the Merc missions reset, does that mean we have to buy all the deeds again? So many questions... 😭
Evan M all of the blade and driver progression is kept, I'd imagine that includes poppi
Town devs carry over so you get all merc missions and shop items at once.

The difficulty update is in Spring with season pass.
But hey you can reduce your level which is fantastic.
I have sold ALL of my accessoires, aux cores and core chips. Also, I have equipped all of my blades with the weakest core chips available (sold in Argentum). The first thing I do when 1.3 comes out, is downleveling all of my drivers to 1. I'm so ready for New Game Plus!

Will Blades attached to Drivers acquired through the story stick with Rex or something in the beginning of NG+?

Regarding the expansion pass, they actually mention that expansion pass owners will be getting their 4th batch of helpful items, and that there'll be an exclusive rare blade for them at some point soon. So it's fairly safe to say that everything else is coming to everyone.

I love the fact all the side quests will be reset, and that the blades' affinity charts will be the same before NG+, but what about Dagas's Blade Quest? How would that work in NG+ if you already beat it?

you won`t get Malos, but his Blade (Sever), whom he used until chapter 4.
It would be kinda stupid for both to come back though, both died so it would be kind of dissatisfying to ruin their character arks.

Make locations like Landmarks! Also make Field skills more accessible by not having to constantly assign / epuip them that's what we really need

If we get new blade for free what will the paid dlc blades will be?
I know that characters from Xenogears are most likely owned by Square-Enix but I was kinda hoping that some of the characters from that game could be blades. It would be awesome to see Citan, Esmeralda, Billy Lee Black, Grahf and Miang be obtainable blades and also have Fei/ID be a rare blade you can get that you could switch between the way Pyra and Mythra can. Also, I would like to be able to skip the dialogue for salvaging where a salvaging field skill blade speaks, then rex, then the qte. It would really streamline the grinding side of salvaging.

Is it true that when you release a 4 star blade you have a chance to receive an overdrive feature. (In either this patch or the one coming up)
If you release a 4 star blade with a FULLY COMPLETED affinity chart, you get a 100% chance to receive an Overdrive Protocol. This is currently implemented and likely won't charge with the patch!
WargasmicGaming is that just a completed chart on any other blade besides 4 stars.
And what ever happened to the inspector guy that you fight after you rescue nia from the mor ardain ship in gormott (I feel like he had a unique blade that is now missing from this patch) ( it could be that it is in the expansion pack) (which I don't have and wondering where I could get it)

I started a new game last week and I still got the gold ribbon on my menu will I be put into new game plus strait away or do I have to beat it a gen?
Jocmoc1 it might give you the option, but better to beat it again to get your latest data carried over like level and items instead of what you had when you beat him the first time.

Misha I found out on Nintendo page that you have to get to beat the final boss to get to ng+ even if you beat the game once also I have beat it agen all the bosses except the chapter 5 boss where all push overs

I actually see them coming, I just want the new game plus or the DLC story this year to have an extended/alternative ending. The real one just left the sourest taste in my mouth for months.

Im just lvl 80 but I think I'll start the New Game+ and do the 100% there :) And I think sleeping in the Inn and decreasing your lvl from 80 to 1 still gives you a lot currency

I wonder what the flesh eaters look like as pure blades.
Here's all of their classes and elements if anyone is interested. Also each of them have a new weapon, so the driver arts screen will need a third row. Note that the weapon names i listed are not official
Akhos- electric healer, ether bow
Patroka- earth attacker, spearsword (in the chapter 6 fight she can turn her earth spear into an electric sword, so that will be interesting to see)
Mikhail- dark tank, dual fans
Perdido- fire attacker, ether machine-gun
Cressidus- earth tank, shield fists (the game needed an earth tank)
Obrona- electric attacker, dual swords
Sever- wind tank, reverse blade
Kinda sad theres only 1 healer and its electric. Haze would make a good light healer if she was added. Maybe they will make sever a healer or something, he's the only one I'm unsure about. I'm scared of this dlc becuase im going to have to overdrive all of these blades between nia morag and zeke to see all of the arts. Oh well, i already farmed up 99 legendary cores and 99 rares, now i just need to farm like 21 overdrives lol. Of course, don't forget each new blade will have it's own passive battle skills.
Having 3 slots is going to be absolute chaos, i can already think of some rediculous builds. 1st person that's going to for me is definitely rex, so I can accomodate Avante-garde medal, world tree drop, and overclocking bangle. I wonder what else that guy will sell? Maybe more top notch accessories.
I wonder if vandham has a reverse affinity chart. I'm not wasting my time finding out lol

But cressidus had a fire attack in the boss fight, where is this info from?
Devan Weathers the fire aoe attack on the ground comes from perdido. The elemental weaknesses of all of these blades gives away their element, as mikhail is weak to lightning (whoops) while using cressidus. Elements are weak to their opposites

Alex Lim you can only get the torna blades in ng+, meaning you have to finish the story first. And you can either get it by summoning it from core crystals or through story progression

Because new game plus essentially means starting the story over again with all your upgrades and items. But if you get the torna blades in the middle of the story how will it affect the story overall?
Well the story will play out the same, regardless if you managed to summon them or not. And if you do have them , it would just be a little bit awkward having Akhos fight against Akhos. But other than that, nothing happens
