    It’s funny my little CB500X is the first bike I’ve not wanted to change the exhaust on within a week of ownership. I love the sound of the oem system tbh. That one looks good and always good to support local businesses

      Can’t disagree about the standard exhaust and I’ve no problems with, other than a desire to reduce weight where I can to compensate for stuff I’ve fitted 😆 👍🏻

      It most certainly does, although I haven’t tried it with baffles removed 😈

      I have visions of you sporting a studded black leather vest and a new neck tattoo, running from the cops. Have to change the name of the channel to Hell’s Camper!

    This one is going to be interesting Andrew . Things I would like you too comment on when you have done a few miles , does the bike pull any better when loaded ,has it improved the economy when cruising . As always take care ,safe riding Mal in Australia

      I’ve done a couple of thousand miles on it and can’t say I’ve noticed difference on mpg but it does feel slightly more grunt and sound is great without being too loud…I’ll run it for another couple of thousand and do an update, all the best Andrew

    Great video thinking about getting something like that for my Gsxr 750 , just to tidy up the side profile. I'm going to email them and ask what they have

      Really good guys, as you’ve seen on video, and sure they’ll sort you out 👍🏻

    Fits your bike well! Sadly I think that would foul with my Enduristan saddlebags, the original one works well with those. And I also like the sound of the original. Weight savings would be the only reason why I would change. Do you think it would be possible to mount it lower?

    • @thecampingbiker791
      @thecampingbiker791  Před 2 lety +2

      Yes, it works and looks well on the bike and no issues for my 21 Brothers bag….I’m fairly sure it could be lower and these guys can fabricate a new exhaust hanger if not using rear pegs!

    Hi there, your bike is raised with the conversion. I like the new silencer, but I think it might be too close to my soft luggage on givi frames. My lomo r/h bag melted due to exhaust outlet gasses being close, looking at yours, do you have similar issue?

    • @thecampingbiker791
      @thecampingbiker791  Před rokem +1

      Hi John, I have a RR rack that’s designed to throw the soft luggage away from exhaust, just enough to clear so no issues. I think as long as it doesn’t touch you’re fine but taking into account suspension movement

    It is no longer so simple here in Belgium to adapt things to your motorcycle. Even if we just cross the border to the Eifel (Germany), the police are there with decibel meters and check your motorbike for original parts with CE quality marks. Even if you only have an unmarked clutch lever, they custody your motorbike and a huge ticket too. You can then call someone to come get you.

      Sorry for delay in getting back, I miss the odd one..must be my age 😆 That doesn’t sound good…I live riding in Germany but sounds like they would have much to look at with my bike! It’s more relaxed here in UK as long as a bike passes it’s annual test (MOT) then generally your fine, and we have much less Police so rarely see them patrolling 👍🏻

    Good morning could you tell me how the exhaust is lasting as I’m thinking of investing in one

    • @thecampingbiker791
      @thecampingbiker791  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Martin, holding up really well particularly taking into account I’m riding and camping through winter in all conditions, I don’t even buff it up..only wash when bike get a treat and I’m very satisfied!

    I think it is worth it for the weight reduction alone.
