- The Four Peaks - Brown's, Brother, Sister, and Amethyst - are very prominent from the Phoenix Valley. Many people do Brown's Peak but bagging all the peaks via a traverse is another animal altogether. This should show you what this entails, so do it at your own discretion! Great views of Roosevelt Lake and the valley beyond.

Beautiful video. Thanks for sharing. 👍19
I never knew you could climb the other 3 peaks. Thanks for sharing!
You can climb anything haha!
I was waiting to see you do this one man! Good job.
yeah finally did the whole thing! was nice to have a friend with me for safety reasons
@@HikingEngineer Look at you, being all safe! 😜
Need to make time to watch this next time the 'Dona stream goes down.
Have been to Brown's and Brother on one occasion then attempted to reach Amethyst by bushwhacking below/around the mine and up one of the main chutes on Amethyst. Got turned back by a gnarly scramble near the top.
thanks for checking out my channel! Yeah the descent off Amethyst was the hardest part of the entire day by far
That ridge scramble looked fun! I am jealous you get to hike so early in the season, we are still 6 weeks to 2 months out here in N Utah.
you can year round in the AZ desert! I enjoyed doing Olympus, Pfeifferhorn, Gobbler's Knob/Raymond, and King's Peak late last summer!
@@HikingEngineer Have you targeted where you will be hiking this summer? I have enjoyed your Colorado and Utah content very much.
@@MountainHobbler I am finishing off the CO 14ers in early July (all the Sangre de Cristo ones minus Humboldt, then the Bells traverse and Capitol), so I have 12 more. I'm going to the Alps in early August to bag Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn. I'll be doing my annual southern Utah trip over Memorial Day weekend but unsure where to yet. If time allows I might try to get up to the Tetons again or Glacier for a week in late summer. Gannett and Granite Peaks are on my list as well
@@HikingEngineer Awesome, looking forward to the content. Stay safe.
Check out Mummy Mania (or Mummy Kill) traverse in Rocky Mountain NP. You get to traverse an entire Mummy range with 5 13ers and one 12er in one day. Think you will enjoy it
Welcome to the “Motherlode” club😂👍
Great job avoiding the Mine property. That’s my least favorite part of the traverse. If you ever plan on doing it again I strongly recommend gloves and long sleeves. It wakes dealing with the bushwhacking section less painful.
i actually came away basically unscathed in terms of scratches! definitely needed the pants though
Great hike! Question - have you done the Mount Lemmon summit loop in Tucson ? Looking to do it this weekend but all trails isn’t convincing lol. Says the miles are slow and route finding is a constant issue. Thanks!
I've hiked to the top of lemmon from Sabino and have a video on that. But otherwise no
Do you recommend that hike for a mt lemon summit ?
@@Mdtenney720 I was only doing it because i like to put in long mileage (17 miles one way from sabino). Mt Lemmon isn't a cool summit as it's just a large ridge without an actual summit point really. i guess it depends what you are going for
Good info, I recently did cactus to clouds in Palm Springs (highly recommended) and heard that the mt lemon summit in Tucson was referred to as the cactus to clouds of Arizona. A lot of vertical ascent etc so I want to bag it
@@Mdtenney720 I typically do C2C every year, it's more (and steeper on average) vert than mount lemmon. If you are looking for peaks in Tucson I would recommend Mica, Wrightson, Rincon, and Baboquivari before Lemmon. I have videos on all these, as well as C2C!
Wonderful
thanks
