Fantastic idea. I have trouble sewing elestic fabric with my regular and simple machine. Is there any trick how to adjust machine to not stretch elastic fabric?

Have you tried using a zigzag stitch? I saw on another channel someone said use a zigzag on t-shirt material if you don't have a serger machine.

Shouldn't you use a stretch stitch to sew Jersey knit to avoid busting out the seams the first time you put it on?

Don't you need a front and a back with a gusset that is longer in the back to fit the bottom?
