This also reminds me of the match I can't find on CZcams of 1998 King of the Ring against The Rock. When Paul Bearer was looking up at The Undertaker as he was getting ready to turn the lights back on before stepping into the ring. I love this part

It's a shame he didn't keep this longer or at least return to it, his current theme is too somber and mellow (even for a funeral durge), and it has no sense of drama, menace, or doom to it.

I agree. It was the natural evolution of The Undertaker character. Taker was also in my opinion in his prime. The was the biggest and most muscular that he had ever been and with the way he changed his look, he was so intimidating. I loved Undertaker as a cult leader.

I would always play him, especially in WWE 12, 13, 2k14 and 2k16 (one of the greatest wwe games to exist, and one of the best retro/modern Kane models and attires) in 2k14 and 2k17 i used to always put Retro Kane, New Kane, Old Taker and New Taker together in a fatal four way TLC. His music that he used like Out of the fire, Man on Fire and Slow Chemical are so nostalgic Undertaker is also one of my favorites, i was very obsessed with the Chokeslam and the Tombstone. I can’t believe how much time has passed, the last time i ever heard this song fully was in 2k16, around 2016 one of the best wwe games of all time. this is one of Taker’s greatest songs of all time. Never forget 2k16, 2k17 etc. I also remember my mother taking me to one of her friends house or my uncle’s, either one, when i was around 5 back in 2014 or something And he had WWE Network, my mom told him i liked Kane alot so he put on the 1998 inferno match between Kane vs Taker and i remember being so pissed when Kane was set on fire and lost. Good times, wish we could go back.
Best theme and I've always loved whichever taker there was at the time. However this just fits his "Demonic" "Phenom" character more. Rest In Peace was good for the Western Mortician gimmick when he first came in but Dark Side should have been it from the day he returned to The Dead Man in 04. Still love Taker though.

Damn right. I think the fact that he only wrestles once a year makes it more special too. Taker's always had a knack for making things special. So many wrestlers dive over the top rope in every single match and it never gets much more than a polite "Ooooh" from the crowd because at best we take it for granted, and at worst we're sick of it. Taker did it once a year, at WrestleMania, and made it awesome again.
