- Episode 50 of "History of Entrance Themes."
This videos goes through some of the theme songs used by former WWE Superstar, The Undertaker.
(This does not include themes he used as part of a tag team) - Hudba
Jim Johnston needs a Grammy for lifetime achievement.
Why ain't he in the WWE hall of Fame 🤬😭 🤔🤔🤔🧐 wtf WWE
He should have been the first person ever inducted... @@thebigflyingninja5242
Every theme he made was a total banger. Literally the GOAT for WWE Themes
How did he go from “scary, undead, creepy emo dude”
To
Motorcycle riding, Biker gang, bandana wearing, American badass, street brawler
And pull it off so gracefully
The Undertaker did so well with his Deadman gimmick, I actually thought he was this immortal supernatural being. Also when I first saw him he struck Randy Orton with "lightning".
and then all the way back around
@@snakeeyes2551I mean he fought evil voodoo priests, 8 foot monsters and powerful sumo warriors and he never blinked once or let out a single grunt while any mortal men would had been terrified if any of those dudes came at them...
@@reginareece7081 You got that right!
@@reginareece7081he is almost 7 foot himself
I knew this was going to be one of the longest videos because The Undertaker holds the record for having the most theme songs in the WWE. Rock and Austin come at a close second but Taker takes the cake.
Yet he used just 1 theme song (Rest in Peace) for about 16 years lol (barring Ain’t no Grave)
@@hypn0298 What about that Metallica song that The Undertaker used when he wrestled AJ Styles at last year's WrestleMania in a Boneyard match ?
@@jerelminter yeah I know there’s that one too. Did you notice how the guy who uploaded this video named Funeral Dirge “Funeral March V1” instead? Same for the Grim Reaper theme which the uploader names it “Graveyard Symphony V1”, even though the real graveyard symphony v1 is the full metal version.
@@hypn0298 Oh wow I didn't know that, thanks for providing that information.
American Bad Ass and Big Evil this is the best Taker Era!
#7 through #15.
The Ministry of Darkness era...
That theme was badass!
#16
#15 is my all time favorite wrestling theme ever! What I wouldn't give to have heard it live in an arena in 1999.
This version is on WWF Smackdown! for PlayStation 1
@@edwardelric880 missionaries
@@edwardelric880 maybe he is trying to explain that they were promoting evil by portraying taker as satan himself

It was actually a mixture of the Deadman and the American Bad Ass when he went up against AJ Styles as he was still using Deadman powers.
Who wants a mishmash between those, at 0:00, 1:01, 2:01, 3:01, 4:01, and 29:01 or something like that?
W in the chat literally
@BIG SMOKE we knoe
Legend
The Ministry of Darkness will forever be his greatest form. The music was beyond eerie
Darkside will always be my all time favourite. That electric guitar riff, violin and piano mix is just so good on the ears.
agreed its so good
One my favorites for sure
Yeah I think it especially match him with his heel turn
IT'S THE ELECTRIC GUITARS FOR ME! 🤩
Darkside slaps
A video length worthy for the most tenured and respected WWE wrestler ever.
He actually went back to Graveyard Symphony V2 in early 1999.
yeah as random as that was because that theme didn't suit that version of taker
@morris619 totally agree, that theme should be left with the Deadman gimmick!
Nothing will ever beat Rest In Peace in my opinion. 2004 and onwards was always the epitome of The Undertaker for me.
22:08 my favourite reminds of my childhood keep rolling...... 😔😔
Fr
Jim Johnston is a legend ❤️❤️❤️
4:01 is his best OG phenom theme
8:01 and 11:01 are my favorite versions of Dark Side
14:01 is his best ministry theme
22:01 is his best biker theme and probably best theme in general
29:01 speaks for itself 🙄🐐
#15 my all time favorite theme of the Undertaker.
Same
Yes its so villainous 😭🔥
My life is complete, I've spent 30 minutes listening to different variations of the funeral march (also Limp Bizkit and Kid Rock).
29 is my favorite. Big Evil Taker is underrated.
Dark Side / Buried Souls / Plague of Evil / Lord of Darkness from August 1998 / 1999 is the best version of Taker's theme all-time. Any version of it.
Yes me too!
The american badass/big evil was my favorite gimmick of his. He truly was a badass.
Surprisingly how Jim Johnston nailed the base melody of his theme on the first go.
The Undertaker best theme music ever!!! #23 🎶Keep Rollin! Rollin! Rollin! Rollin!🎶
I love this amazing video with all of the Undertaker's themes he used in WWE History, Especially the ministry of darkness at #13-#14 and the Unholy Alliance at #16. The Undertaker is one of my all time favourite WWE Superstars forever. Long live the Phenom.... the Deadman.... The Undertaker!
#2 is my favorite simply for the sound of the gong at the beginning! Probably a bone-chiller for the live audience!
28:02 and the last one is my favorite
Damn i forgot his evil was on another level late 90s lol
This video is still shorter than Taker's entrance.
My favorite biker taker song is Your Gonna Pay and Deadman Taker is Ain't no grave( fits him so much)
I loved when they went with Ain't No Grave
I LOVED YOUR GONNA PAY!!!
Keep rollin is also great
Technically "Buried Souls" debuted at the Rage Party the night prior to WrestleMania 15 and "Unholy Alliance" debuted on the 8/1/99 Heat.
Graveyard Symphony v2 originally debuted at IYH 7, Undertaker was still using the Graveyard Symphony Full Metal version from Early Spring to October 1996
This just makes perfect since why undertaker is my favorite wrestler of all time, because this was posted on my 22ns bday!!!!
ill always know him by his “you’re gonna pay” theme and his matchup with vince mcmahon at survivor series in buried alive.. good times
Remember that like yesterday. Then return of the Dead Man.
Im glad to see so many people have the same love for lord of darkness/ministry of evil undertaker theme songs. They stand up there as top 10 entrance songs of all time.
#9 and #15 is my Favorite song of all time!
what started out as a simple organ treatment of Frederic Chopin's Funeral March became something so...epic. that's the only word that comes to mind.
also while Jim Johnston is an excellent composer he does NOT know how to record lead guitar come on bro why does it sound so thin and weedling have you never listened to a Van Halen record in your life? it's really not hard to dial in a much better tone than that. consider using mids instead of all treble 💀
His first theme is from Chopin’s funeral March?
Rest In Peace & Dark Side (V3; Intro Cut) are the best ones
Oh heck yeah!!, great job on the video, 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽, 10.9/11 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 and 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
My top 4
1. Graveyard Symphony v2
2. You are Gonna Pay
3. Dark Side
4. Buried Souls
5. Rest in Peace
The number 3 and 4 are incredible
5,15,16 and 32 are my favs!!! Especially 5
The undertaker also had a scrapped entrance theme that very few people have heard and one of he being Austin creed(Xavier woods) who said the song legitimately made him cry.
Source?
@@9999cccz I'll try to find it but it might take me a few days because I don't remember what video it was from and all I remember about it was that it was one of his many crossovers between him and a group of WWE 2k CZcamsrs named new legacy inc.
@@9999cccz I've had no luck finding the video but if I see it in a few weeks while just casually rewatching videos I'll reply the name of the video and the length because it's probably in an Uno video and there's only so many video titles that you can use for uno so the video time is gonna be important to use the length of the video to find it.
Cry? As in sadness? Or fear? Or admiration of beauty?
@@markisaki979 from what I remember he described it as fear because of how utterly bone chilling the song was.
#11 best theme
Rest in peace what a theme 👌🏾👌🏾
#12 is the best entrance music he ever had, wrestling in the summer of 98 was lit
Yes it was
Lord of Darkness! All time favorite. First heard this in SmackDown 1 as a kid. Also the best Taker persona.
A great set of tunes for the best Wrestler to even step foot in the ring.
#15 I remember him interrupting a match between big show and viscera in 1999
He looked so badass with bearer walking alongside him with this theme playing
Ain’t no grave is something sick
Number 14 is the best undertaker entrance ever (capturing the raw darkness of his character at maximum level)
#30 is the most iconic out of all themes this was when taker also became a huge name also won world titles and main evented manias with this theme hands down my favourite instrumental theme of all time.
Mean Mark Callous 1990 1st Theme "China White", 2nd Theme "Southern Rock" and 3rd Theme "Heavenly Thunder"
Hard to pick a favourite to be fair, they all strike a chord, no pun intended. All we need to recognize is the greatness of The Undertaker & Jim Johnston
I didn’t realize taker had so many theme songs
Number 1 for the original deadman. Number 14 for the ministry and 23 for the badass are my favorite
Darkside 3 #12 is my fav so fucking epic with the riff and the violin and the theatrics in the ring
#1 and #2 was actually good, I heard it my first time when he made the debut, and I searched up his debut.
#22, #23 and #24 When I first heard this, I thought this was just a song that my dad got from his fav band, but he heard this from Undertaker first.
21:00 - 24:00
#1 and #2 is at the beginning of the video ofc.
#15 you just had to be there during that time to understand man he was very mean very scary just how he was back then late 90s man omg I’m sad cause We won’t get that anymore
My favorites are 12, 27, & American Badass. Rollin too.
#5 is when he became my favorite wrestler of all time
I really liked #32, it’s so relaxing
Just wish! Taker can use “you’re gonna pay” once more !!
His 98 dark side theme is my favorite
Grew up first knowing him by song #7, around preschool.
You’re gonna pay is in my opinion one of the most overlooked theme. What taker did and was all about during the American badass days were being cool as hell and whooping peoples ass.
Lord Of Darkness and Dark Side V2 hit differently ✨🙏🏻
27:02 No mercy theme 🔥🔥🔥
26:01 🔥👊⛓️👑
#30 is legend of the Undertaker
Jim Johnston is an incredible composer!!!
American Badass V4 is just perfect 🐐 I remember i asked my godfather to record Summerslam 2000 on VHS off PPV and just loved when Undertaker came out to this song and removed Kane’s mask. Damnn…memories🥲
15 is severely underrated, best version of Ministry Taker theme
And Buried Souls
@@dominoxbelovaxv177 that's a good one too, but I prefer Lord of Darkness because it has less talking and is slower
Number 2,5,22,and 30 are my favorites
amazing
Fantastic
#11 is my all time favorite Taker theme
I wish he would’ve used ain’t no grave more that song fit older taker so well
Dark Side #10, It was lit!
29 is one of my favorites
I'm happy someone made this list, but are some slight inaccuracies to it, mainly the fact that there's actually 6 versions of Dark Side used in 1998, not counting intro cuts or any edits. AttitudeBeast2007/BeastNation2009 made remakes of V1 to V5 (V6 is the one we all know that was released on Vol. 3 in 1998) and that V3 of American Bad Ass is also inaccurate.
If you watch The Rock vs The Undertaker in the Lumberjack Match, V3 of American Bad Ass is accurate.
There are 6 versions of darkside in the video (not counting one intro cut).
He listed all the Dark Sides is just be renamed them for the video.
@@goldenshadow5027 No, I’ve watched the match and the entrance back multiple times over the years. I even have the specific track saved on my PC, the version of V3 used in this video is inaccurate. If I see an inaccuracy, I’m going to call it out, knowing full well that it’s not the right version. Especially when I’m someone who listens to wrestling themes everyday.
@@NoxWyatt Well im watching the entrance and i can't hear inaccuracies unless u mean the sound at 18:02 - 18:03 but i guess that's just a sound quality issue rather than an inaccuracy, v2 has a better sounding quality in that case.
@@goldenshadow5027 Sorry for taking so long to get back to this. Most uploads of his early American Badass themes, the Kid Rock ones at least, are either edited inaccurately or poor quality. For example, there is no accurately edited version of his theme from his appearance on the May 22, 2000 episode of Raw Is War, where he made his return again after the Judgment Day PPV the night before. Then again, it’s so hard to hear near the end that it’s understandable that And the Judgment Day 2000 version technically doesn’t exist either, beyond the intro. The theme fades out because ‘Taker came out on the bike that night so quickly. The version that is usually 4 minutes and 5 seconds is the one closest to that. There’s also two more versions of the theme, used on the May 25, 2000 episode of SmackDown. The first version was used up until King of the Ring 2000, and the second was only used on May 25. After KotR, the fifth and final version had a different intro and the main part of the song was much shorter, usually a duration of 2:50. Sorry if it seems like I’m rambling on, by the way, I just get pretty meticulous about these things.
I’ll see about getting the themes I’m talking about posted by Sunday next week.
The GOAT
Rest In Peace is the perfect version
The deep gong of the #3 gives me chills. And the fact that they used Sad But True riff on American Badass
When the bell hit and the lights went out...could not contain my excitement
Dark Side theme was his best in my opinion. I jam to this song today still on my iphone.
13 through 15 are the best
I go to bed with this video every night.
I wish Undertaker used Ain't No Grave by Johnny Cash song more, it was so fitting!
Rest in Peace is THE song for the Undertaker
Where did you get #9 from, I look up "The Undertaker Theme Darkside V1" but V3 intro cut is always the one to play instead.

The Legend, the Phenom, the Deadman, the Undertaker💯🙏🙏🙏💯
@12:01 gives me chills, was bad ass hearing this in Wrestle Mania 2000 for n64 😎
Man I forgot how many they cranked out for him during the American Badass stage of his career 😂
Dark side is my favorite, next is Rollin, amazing songs
the ministry theme was TOO TUFF i had that cd and would keep it on repeat
I know undertakers songs but there’s two I didn’t know he had like damn
Undertaker my favorite 1993-1994
I think people hate on “You’re Gonna Pay” so much because it was dubbed over the American Bad Ass when it’s on the Network/Peacock, and it didn’t fit.
limp bizkit moments
1998 is my all time favourite and Rollin
33 Themes, 33 years of the Deadman. Because his career officially started in 1987. And retired in 2020.
