Wow is right, what a list!!! I absolutely love Star basketball cards. They have a simple look but, just something about them always has caught my eye. My favorite here is #9. I have literally had my eye on this card for like 25-30 years and have almost pulled the trigger but could never justify the price whenever it was I looked at it. It’s such a great shot of him. Perhaps one day. Such a great overall collection of cards here. I’m pretty sure the #1 here, along with the ‘52 Mantle, is one of the most counterfeited cards. Funny thing about Star is that they couldn’t give them away when they were first producing them. Now look at this!!! I thoroughly enjoyed this video Steve. Thank you for sharing 😁

I know I’m late here but very cool video. I enjoy how the POP counts are still low, even two years later. The 84-85 Court Kings is my favorite and only has 589 graded by Beckett (401 at the time of your video). An additional 52 if you want to include PSA ones that have been graded to date.
These cards were legendary as a kid. Looking them up in Beckett, but never actually seeing any of them. I did have the opportunity at a local card show to buy the XRC #101 in the original team bag. But of course, I didn’t have the $500 at the time 🤣

That Slam Dunk Supers Jordan might be the greatest dunking image ever. Love the old Chicago jersey in cursive and the angle of the shot. Showed how ridiculous of an athlete he was, like nothing else.

Great video, thanks! Love Star Jordan cards. The 101 is clearly his true RC. I loved them as a kid and just started following them again. I've looked at the fakes compared to real, and in person it's extremely easy to tell the difference.

Star basketball cards are so underrated. While i feel their counterpart the fleer basketball cards are overhyped. My favorited MJ RC is the slam dunk Gatorade Card. I also like Isiah Thomas's XRC which is one of my favorites. IMO these are the true RCs.

People are sleeping on these, especially the Court Kings #26. That card is LITERALLY Jordans first card and the prices on them are so low it doesnt make any sense. The 86' Fleer isn't even his true rookie card and there are over 30,000 graded. If you add up all of Jordan 85 star cards, I doubt there are even 3-4 thousand in existance.
Exactly right. Jordan played 82 games in 1984. 1986 Fleers were Fleers roockie card not Jordans.

PSA might start soon. I've looked at the fakes compared to real, and in person it's extremely easy to tell the difference. You don't even need special training.
PSA just started grading the 1984 Star cards only.
with psa now grading the star cards, what's your opinion will happen to the market? I've the green of mj. did you c sports cards investor pay 100k for a psa 7 star of mj.
Like most cards, I think bgs 9.5 will drop a little in value as more psa10s become available. Might also see other grades in a beckett slab drop as more become available in a psa slab
Now with psa grading them again I bet they go up

Yeah, it's rough. It makes me really wonder how many over the years snuck by as fakes and are currently in slabs 🤔

Is a joke they wont grade them. I have a dozen singles and 4 n I t even open. Called them all no way. At least they can look and let you know if they are fake or not.
@@dominicdavino252 He means PSA used to grade Star cards years ago, but will not grade them when he commented. You in luck as PSA just announced like literally days ago they will grade those cards again.
