  • Today we venture north to the land of freedom and home to Scotland's so called Chernobyl. Which is basically an entire housing estate with shops, housing, a church and a school which now sits abandoned. The site has been plagued with trouble after most residents left the area.

Exploring the dilapidated ruins of civilisation, abandoned untouched millionaire mansions, secret underground bunkers, derelict industrial factories and abandoned theme parks. We're not serious urban explorers, if you can't tell, so don't expect a history documentary packed with valuable information. Instead expect 3 down to earth guys exploring abandoned places. Urban Exploration is not for kiddies. Be safe whilst exploring.

It really is utterly appalling that all these flats and bedsits have been allowed by councils to go to rack and ruin. What was the point exactly 🙄

  • @drunkenprayer8390

My mates used to rent a flat there. Drove decent cars and never got any hassle because everyone assumed they were some sort of drug dealers when they just rented it because it was so cheap.

I stayed in 27 Robert St for around 2yrs,that whole area was thriving and considered one of the nicest places to stay many years ago and was mostly occupied by people that worked in the shipyards. Today it is affectionately known as "TINFOIL ALLEY" (watch out for needles) The school has been burnt to the ground recently, didn't you encounter any ghosts?

Houses built for shipyard workers(Lithgows). A desirable area in the seventies. Many young couples bought these as a starter home.

I feel the "don't walk on floor" sign should have been placed outside the building and maybe then Al wouldn't be injured 😆

I grew up here and was there from 1990 to 1999. It was a nice place back then. Shame the way it's gone. I lived in number 35 bottom floor flat which someone is still in today. Also went to the primary school.

  • @sayachan6069

Thinking about people in the photos laying around, those people had stories, experences living there and I hope they're still alright today and got a new place somewhere.

My Mother grew up there, in Robert’s Street. We would go there to visit my Nan. It used to be a class wee neighbourhood. That was my Mother’s primary school to. She’ll be so sad to see how it’s become 😢

This is easily the most entertaining of any urbex crew out there.

  • @adelejaneee4592

It's not an abandoned ghost town... Port Glasgow as a town is thriving 😅 You just picked one little area of it that is in a legal dispute

Nice job guys! A video made a few months before you arrived shows how quickly things changed, especially in the School.. Back in June of 2021, the power was still running! Their video was uploaded on the 2nd of July, check it out! And an earlier video from the end of 2020, the place was considerably less smashed up, though still rather decayed.. And seemed rather active with people compared to the next year and especially now!

  • @Adrienne884

The council have been fighting the landlord to knock this place down for years now. He got his licence taken off him but kept in the family. He owns loads of flats just like Robert Street

  • @Jammydodger68

Went to a community party barbecue there in the late 70’s, organised by the US navy dudes that were going with the Scots ladies that lived the area. And was a fantastic day😄👏🏾🙏🏾 will never forget it, played baseball too😂 the community was a tight family orientated and happy. It’s a shame to see it like that😢
